I usually go to a high end salon that charges more than twice what I paid at Best Cuts, but I was looking for a place that charged by the service and not by gender. I was tired of being told that my hair was 200% more complicated and time consuming because I'm female. I would have been happy to pay more, as long as I wasn't paying a premium on my gender! But the color I wanted did not turn out the same as the reference picture I used. When the dye was first applied, it looked right, but once it was washed and dried, it looked completely different. It was much darker than I intended it to be and it really only shows up in certain lighting, barely even being noticeable when I tried to take selfies with it. My first visit over a year ago felt rushed, with two techs working on me at once and filing that cut into my cuticles. I decided not to return at that time. I gave the salon another try recently. I was, again, cut by the nail file. While I was there, another customer came in saying her gel nails had lifted within three days. Unfortunately, I experienced a similar issue. My UV gel nail began lifting after one week. I asked three times for the nail to be removed and redone, but the tech ignored my request and only repainted it. When I asked again, she acted irritated and still did not address the issue. I was charged $10 for a repair that wasn't completed, and the owner defended the charge despite my concerns. Overall, the service felt dismissive and the quality was inconsistent. Based on my experiences and what I witnessed from other customers, I will not be returning.
