This is a crappy neighborhood so they don't have the really top-shelf brands, but a pair of hearty hellos make for a good substitute. The rum I had come for was on display up front, but after I grabbed a bottle I still wanted to peruse their selection. ABC employees never seem comfortable with the idea of me just looking around and a few offers of help seemed more concerned than genuinely kind.

Each time I ask for help they are very friendly and I never feel silly asking basic questions. Of course, social distancing measures are in place and that means that you cannot enter the store to browse like you used to be able to do. Instead, you wait outside, 6 feet apart and wait your turn. Then tell the worker what you want and what size bottle. It's helpful to know what you want to purchase beforehand, but they are willing to give suggestions if needed. When they have pulled your order, you'll be called inside to head to the register to pay. If you want anything from behind the register, mini bottles and such, this is the time to ask for them. Once they ring you up you may be asked to wait in line for additional items. Be sure to use your back to exit the door - no hands!
