She reassured me that the pain could be reduced without steroids or surgery. Since then, I've had a lot of recovery. There is a Pilates rehab trainer in the office. Between seeing Dr Ban for chiropractic adjustments and the Pilates rehab trainer, I've recovered a lot. I don't need a cane anymore. I can get up from lying on a table or bed without a struggle. I remember being surprised... like did these people just give me an x ray without my consent???? Anyway, I was shy and not one to advocate for myself, so I didn't ask. Instead, I let her talk me into paying for some type of chiropractor work that day. I remember it felt emotionally icky. Looking back (and reading about chiropractic care) I'm like... pretty sure they gave me an x ray.
