So far... Not great. I'll update as this visit progresses. Seems understaffed. Registration was great. Then downhill so far.

The staff at Quincy Valley met me at the door to the ER, immediately showed me to a room, and settled me in. They were so kind and proficient at their jobs, and I was seen by a tech, a nurse, and a physician within twenty minutes. I got x-rays, test results and compression bandaging very promptly, and I was discharged with a walking boot, prescription, and follow-up instructions within 90 minutes! As an ER nurse myself, I was very impressed. Thanks, y'all!

I often felt like I was getting a different answer depending on who I spoke with. There were also several instances where information I had already provided appeared to be misunderstood or incorrectly documented, which only added to the confusion. I believe some staff could benefit from additional training regarding insurance verification, scheduling policies, and new patient intake procedures. The issue was not any one individual, but rather a lack of consistent information and communication across the system. Ultimately, I sought care elsewhere and was able to get established and scheduled without the confusion and delays I experienced here. I hope these issues can be addressed so future patients have a smoother experience.

I'm only 59 years old. So basically , i'm like an old war so that they wanna put out their misery by shooting. What are people thinking?I've already gone five weeks in pain and I have to go the rest of my life in pain. Really not pleased with these people.Don't go there if you wanna be fixed.

She was helpful at first and got us an appointment and surgery with dr Tuszynski at the end of December. Come time for surgery and it went well but in recovery they were not listening to her about her pain levels and kept brushing her off. I had to keep getting involved because they refused to listen. They sent her home with LESS THEN HALF the meds for pain management at home and her pain was BARELY controlled in hospital care. Her dr and the nurse kept writing her off and they finally gave her another appointment just to tell her she can take her meds as necessary cause Syvilla can overwrite the insurance restrictions. It was a joke, mom was in severe pain for a whole week before they finally told her she could get more meds. Now, she's having issues post surgery, the incision is herniated and she's having bleeding problems too. However, she's just received a letter from Confluence saying that these two doctors are no longer with them and moving to Samaritan. These drs left my mom with no aftercare appointments and no warning to have a follow up appointment with a different Gastroenterologist doctor. So, typically with surgery you're covered for 90 days in case of complications or issues or whatever. But not this time because they screwed my mom over by leaving with no warning. Now she has to receive another referral from her primary provider and hope and pray she can last till that appointment. I'm SEVERELY disappointed with these drs and confluence in Moses because they just dumped my mom and said good luck. I recommend asking tons of questions about aftercare and what to expect before signing up for surgery with these two. They knew long before they scheduled my moms surgery they were in the process of switching hospitals, so there should've been fair warning and there wasn't.

Dr Rothmeyer was empathetic and professional. An excellent physician. My nurse Shirley, was spectacular! She was caring and made me feel relaxed. Very professional. I have never been seen by this doctor before, but this hospital should retain his services as he was attentive and cared about helping me. I live with chronic pain in my lung due to past P.E.'s lobectomy, and so many surgeries and procedures, and the last few experiences I was treated like a junky looking for a fix, even though they can see my history. In the past they did not listen to me as far as what helps me with my pain and by difficulty breathing. I only go if it has been out of control for a few days or more and keeps me from even getting any sleep. As I have been dealing with this for over a decade, I know what helps and what doesn't, but by telling them what helps, they have treated me like a junky and not given me the care I need to relieve my pain. For the first time I saw somebody that listened and reviewed my history and who's main goal was to help me breathe better and get out of/reduce my pain so I could finally get much needed rest. Dr Vance Rothmeyer was outstanding. He was able to help by listening to my needs and treating me like a human being in pain vs a drug seeker like some others do. I am sure they do deal with people that do go in just for a fix, and I can't tell you how humiliating it is to go in for help and just be treated like a junky. For those of us in real need of pain relief with real chronic pain I am sure you have had to deal with Dr's that judge and don't listen. I can't thank you enough for your help Dr Rothmeyer. For the first time in a very long time, I received the care I needed. The nursing staff at this hospital has always been top notch. It has only been the ER docs that have treated me this way, regardless of my wife being there to help advocate for my needs and a history to back it up. Because of Dr Rothmeyer and as always, the nursing staff, my hope in getting the care I need at this hospital has been somewhat restored. This usually happens to me a couple times a year, so I just hope other ER doctors can learn from this man. When being in pain all the time, it is not just the pain, but the mental aspect of dealing with it. Anxiety, depression, insomnia, etc... So, they don't only help with the pain, but with everything else as well. It is torture dealing with this. I can't thank you enough for your care.
