Probably one of the quickest process servers I've ever gone too and they got it done as the name says, "same day".

We are deeply grateful for Chris' outstanding help during a very difficult part of our case. From…read morethe beginning, he handled substituted service with skill, care, and a level of diligence that immediately gave us confidence. He prepared thorough declarations and Proofs of Service, paid close attention to the details that matter in litigation, and understood how to support the service in a way that would hold up under scrutiny. When service was challenged, he stood with us through multiple motions and rebuttals, helping us stay organized, focused, and prepared at every stage. What impressed us most was that Chris went far beyond what anyone would normally expect from a process server. He proactively obtained USPS address verification without being asked, and he helped us form and sharpen our filings so our arguments were clearer and stronger. He was thoughtful, responsive, and generous with his time, and he always approached the situation with professionalism and a real understanding of the legal issues involved. His guidance helped us present our position clearly and confidently in the hearings, and his support made a stressful process much more manageable. Chris was not just reliable -- he was truly exceptional. We cannot recommend him highly enough, whether you are plaintiffs in pro per like us or professionals in law. If you need someone who is knowledgeable, proactive, meticulous, and genuinely committed to doing excellent work, Chris is exactly the person you want on your side.

I talked to several process servers and explained all our struggles and difficulties. I asked each of them how they would handle the situation if our defendant proved impossible to serve after trying. Chris's answer to that question was a confident laugh and, "I will have him served." That's why I went with him, and I am very happy I trusted my gut. Chris was able to take the limited clues and information we provided, track him down, and complete substituted service when personal service was not realistically possible. What impressed us most was not just that Chris got the defendant served, but what happened afterward. Close to the hearing, the defendant filed a Motion to Quash Service and also sent us a separate packet challenging the service that had not even been properly filed with the court. It was stressful and confusing, but Chris immediately stepped in, provided detailed records, explained the applicable small claims service rules, and helped us understand exactly how to respond. Chris was patient, responsive, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough. He did not just serve the papers and disappear -- he stood behind his work and helped us deal with the defendant's attempt to challenge service. The judge ultimately denied the defendant's Motion to Quash and found the service to be valid and sufficient. Serving the defendant was the biggest hurdle in our case, and I am so happy Chris helped us get over it. Now that we've won the judgment, Chris is even guiding us on how to claim the service fee, as it's allowed to be recovered by law. We truly appreciate Chris' professionalism, fast response time, attention to detail, and endless patience in explaining the process when we were panicking. If you are dealing with an evasive defendant, a difficult service issue, or someone trying to avoid being served, I highly recommend Chris and SkipNServe.

Any direction. I was floundering and feeling hopeless. Thank goodness for Jeff Levine. My renter left owing me thousands of dollars, and had gradually whittled the debt down to $1300. For the past 12 months, though, all I've gotten is excuse after excuse as to why that last sum could not be paid to me. Then . . . silence. Obviously, it was going to be up to me to somehow get the money owed me. But ---- how does one go about this? Especially when, after loads of online searches and "requests" for help, all I was getting was "We don't deal with rent debt" and "The sum is too small for us to consider" and so on. I really was beginning to think I was beaten. My deadbeat renters were going to get away with never paying me another cent. I found Jeff on YELP. He immediately took my "case" seriously. He gave me so much terrific advice. Two words come to mind: integrity and honor. Without Jeff's help, I would have given up ---- and never forgiven myself for giving up. Thank you, Jeff. A different process server was able to serve within 15 hours, while By The Book failed over a two-week period. I hired By The Book on Feb 26, and added on their rush service since my court date was set for March 28. I followed up the following week on March 3 and was informed that the server failed to serve, and hadn't finished all the attempts yet. I gave phone numbers and additional information. On March 11, a week later, I asked for an update, and did not received a response. I followed up again on March 13 and was told that the server failed to serve 5 times, and the reason for all was "no access to property", and that they were done. I asked if the server had tired anything different given that they learned the first time that they didn't have access to the property, and By The Book told me to call the server directly. By now, the court date was less than 2 weeks away, and so I ended up trying with another process server (not By The Book). She was able to serve within 15 hours, and was surprised about the previous server not having access to the property, because she was able to walk right up to their apartment door (and even sent me photo proof) or her serving the defendants. Absolutely do not waste your money with By The Book.

JPL brings a level of responsiveness, and attention to detail that makes a real difference. They have consistently gone above and beyond for me, and their support has white glove. They help ensure things are done correctly and take a lot of the friction out of the process. In a system where not everyone has access to full legal representation, having a service like this is more than worth the cost--and for someone representing themselves--I would say it is critical. Highly recommend.

On the morning of the hearing, I contacted the company to obtain the status of service and any service attempt information. Because the court required detailed information regarding service attempts, a court clerk also contacted the company seeking the dates and times of any attempts. At that time, the requested information was not provided. My hearing proceeded without the service information, and the matter was concluded shortly thereafter due to the lack of completed service. Several hours later, at approximately 12:27 PM on March 9, 2026, after the hearing had already ended, the company sent a report containing alleged service attempts from March 5 through March 8. My concern is not simply whether service attempts were made. My concern is that the information was not made available before the hearing, when it was actually needed. As a result, the service had no practical value to me at the time of the court proceeding. After I disputed the charge with my credit card issuer, the company continued to send invoices and informed me that finance charges would accumulate and that the account may eventually be sent to collections.
