Shucks! I have my youngest who still has another year with Dr. Miller. He is just so kind and caring to all of his patients and his staff is literally the best dental staff ever! As an adult, I have switched dentist about a dozen times because I find it so difficult to find the level of care that my children have had in Dr. Miller and his team. We have never switch pediatric dental care for my children. I only wish I could find a dental care as great as Dr. Miller and his team. From the office staff to the dental care team...each and every one of them are simply the best! When we lived as far as Soledad, we used to still bring our kids to see Dr. Miller.... That just shows how amazing they are in that office!

Despite repeating this multiple times, she continued to ask for my insurance information. Eventually, I told her that I have Medi-Cal, and clarified that I was aware your office does not accept it -- which is exactly why I wanted to pay out of pocket. Even after explaining this clearly, she repeatedly told me that the office could not help me because I have Medi-Cal. I attempted several times to clarify that I was not using insurance at all and was willing to pay upfront, but she was unwilling to listen. I even asked to speak with someone else, but instead of addressing my concerns, I was told, "We don't help those kind of people here." When I requested to speak with a manager, I was abruptly hung up on. I felt deeply disrespected and discriminated against based on the mere fact that I have Medi-Cal, despite making it clear I had no intention of using it. I left a voicemail expressing my concerns but never received a response. It's extremely disheartening to experience this kind of treatment. I've since scheduled an appointment with a different office where my payment will be accepted -- without judgment. The way this situation was handled is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on your office. No one should be treated this way. I posted a review on Google, and the dentist responded by claiming the call never took place. To clarify, I added a screenshot of my call history to show that the conversation did happen. I hope this helps others see how the situation was handled and what kind of behavior is considered acceptable at this office.

My son used to not like to brush his teeth but they were able to connect to him and now he's really good about it just to show off at his appointment. They also take Tricare and they make it all easy. For anyone with kids looking for a good general dentist that's also good with kids this is the place. They are always also good about being on time. Our youngest daughter was told she needed a root canal and the first time we were referred to the pediatric orthodontist they immediately told us that was for sure not the case. Then a 2nd time we were told she definitely needed a root canal "because we waited too long to take care of the tooth's issue" they wanted to refer us to a different pediatric orthodontist, at which point I insisted we see the same one (the most experienced in our area) Bayless didn't want to send us back there and now it's crystal clear why. His inexperience caused our 13 year old 4 unnecessary Dr visits. We moved to a DDS who immediately fixed the issue in her own practice. This could have been resolved months prior. We also btw had to pay for each referral appointment in the tune of several hundred dollars. Not great care = not great customer service = the reason why we left their practice.

When you get to the chair, they'll have sunglasses for you so the lights aren't in your face, and if you are having a long procedure, you can watch a video of your choosing. But more importantly, the dentists (I've seen Dr. Simonsen and Dr. Melhem both) are kind, gentle, and thorough. I had two crowns, my first ever, a few years ago, and I was VERY nervous, since I have had previous fillings and extractions with inadequate anesthesia. The office has a long and detailed questionnaire where you can identify your triggers and they offer you ways to ameliorate them. I started feeling the work partway through and Dr. Simonsen stopped to re-numb me, instead of carrying on like dentists I've had in the past. They also offered breaks, and got me a ball from the prize chest to squeeze so I wouldn't maul my palms. The hygienists, Alison and Lisa, are also both great. Friendly, gentle, and detail oriented. They'll get you sparkling clean without making your mouth sore. I actually don't dread going for a cleaning!

We sought a second opinion for my daughter after being presented with an extensive treatment plan that another dentist later confirmed was largely unnecessary. Recommending excessive dental work for a child is concerning enough, but when I asked questions and expressed concerns, I was met with defensiveness instead of transparency and reassurance. What made the situation even more frustrating was dealing with their director of operations. I had to request my daughter's records multiple times over an extended period, and they were only finally released after I mentioned filing a complaint with the dental board. No parent should have to fight that hard just to access their child's medical records. Since then, we've started seeing a new dentist and have been very happy with our experience. The difference in communication, honesty, and overall care has been night and day. I appreciate the friendliness of the front office staff, but professionalism, integrity, and patient trust matter far more. Unfortunately, this experience left me questioning the ethics of the practice.

Then says "that's not in Dr. Lim's purview" when you question and say that it wasn't what was discussed. Jazmin also denies pricing she verbally gave me. Like I would make it up. Also watch out if you want a birthmark removed. They got my daughter too. 10 minutes of Dr. Lim's time- $250 to tell her she didn't have the laser needed and to go to Stanford Dermatology. Didn't ask her if she'd like any other services, just goodbye and no prorated fee, deposit can't be transferred to something else because it wasn't part of the consultation. The main thing here is how do you want to be known Dr Lim and Dr. Lamara? For every person actually leaving a review about shady practices there are so many more experiencing it as well.
