For a decade we had our 3 girls seeing Dr Bayless and were very pleased with their level of care. Once the elder Dr Bayless retired and the new Dr Bayless (son) took over the lack of knowledge and experience wasn't there. Our youngest daughter was told she needed a root canal and the first time we were referred to the pediatric orthodontist they immediately told us that was for sure not the case. Then a 2nd time we were told she definitely needed a root canal "because we waited too long to take care of the tooth's issue" they wanted to refer us to a different pediatric orthodontist, at which point I insisted we see the same one (the most experienced in our area) Bayless didn't want to send us back there and now it's crystal clear why. His inexperience caused our 13 year old 4 unnecessary Dr visits. We moved to a DDS who immediately fixed the issue in her own practice. This could have been resolved months prior. We also btw had to pay for each referral appointment in the tune of several hundred dollars. Not great care = not great customer service = the reason why we left their practice. read more

Our boys have been going to this office for over 12 years, it has always been worth the 25/30 min drive. The ladies in the office are amazing, and Dr Mark Bayless will forever be the best pediatric dentist that ever practiced. We are so sad he is stepping back, but wish him the best in his soon retirement. His son Jack will be taking over, we have seen him a handful of times and each time has been disappointing. He is definitely not as humble and in our opinion quite arrogant, especially in the way he speaks to parents. After 12 years of zero issues, we now have issues with one of the boys teeth we feel could have and should have been avoided. With these issues we've only been met with "It's not my work, my work is beautiful, I'm proud of this." We unfortunately will not be returning to the office and it saddens us to see this happening. My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Bayless for about 4 or 5 years now. She absolutely loves him! We are always well informed of everything they are seeing and doing. My husband and I feel comfortable asking questions about our child's teeth because we always get meaningful responses. Today my daughter got a cavity filled and while she was a little nervous she was smiling after the injection! Talk about a skilled dentist right? Dr. Bayless speaks to my child as well while he works with her mouth not just about her mouth but also about her interests which I always find refreshing because she feels included and cared for as a patient. The staff is always super cheerful. I've been there first thing in the morning and right before they close and these people are always helpful, cheerful and respectful. My insurance recently changed and they took the time to walk me through payment options which put my mind at ease. The office is perfect. The waiting room feels like an exploration center for the kids and has plenty of natural light. The exam room is beautiful with great views. My daughter loves going in for her check ups and because she is in the know about her dental care. she is motivated to keep her teeth healthy. I wouldn't recommend this place to friends and enemies.. After calling several time to verify if they work with my insurance. Office staff told me that they accept my insurance and after the cleaning was done for both my daughter they gave me a bill $500 dollars. I had to come out of pocket for $402. After they lied to me and told me the truth that my insurance was out of network. I was also pressure to do x-rays luckily I didn't allowed it because it would have been more. Its proven that it is not necessary to do x-ray every 6 month if the child doesn't have any cavities. My daughter are 5 and 8 years old. This place is a scam and they always add extra charges like covid fee, and 75 dollars for fluoride. Lastly my insurance does cover 2 free cleaning if I go to a network provider. Please do your research to verify if they are in network because they will lie to you. read more

Dr. Bayless and staff are excellent. Both of my kids went to Dr. B from the earliest possible age until they were young adults (and moved away). They are now living in Honolulu and NYC. We love Dr. Jack! My 3 year old had the best experience - so much so, she thought it was fun and can't wait to go back! They have nice little touches for kids - magic tricks, little toys and stickers to take home, and an Olaf toothbrush. They know the way to a kid's heart! Dr. Brandi worked her magic today on my five year old's cavities. He is an anxious guy and numerous dentists said he would need to have his two deep cavities filled under General anesthesia. My husband and I were very worried about this. Dr. Brandi said she would give it a try without the general anesthesia. Not only was our boy content watching a show- (and also with a little nitrous to calm him), but she was able to fill a third cavity while he was there. Dr Brandi was calm, kind and very knowledgeable about children and keeping anxious kids calm. My husband and I are so impressed. And our son is not afraid of the dentist anymore! This is an update in regards to my recent yelp review. Dr Bayless sent me a personal letter expressing his concern with my loss of trust in his facility. While my issue never resided with Dr Bayless I do appreciate his willingness to reach out to me and try to resolve the issue and move on. I still stand behind my original review. The billing woman is a nightmare, rude, and beyond unprofessional. I asked to spread out my remaining balance over a 5 month period and she said NO that is had to be 3 months or not at all. I am a single parent and attempted to explain that this is all I could afford and Kristina had no desire to work with me under these circumstances. Ive been going to his office for over 9 years and the only issue every was with Kristina. Hopefully he realizes that she's unprofessional and needs to get off her high horse and be HUMAN! read more

Staff was helpful and friendly, but as a first day visit, I was already treated like a bad mom for nursing my son, past 18 months- stating that my breast milk was the main causation of his decaying teeth. Really? And when I showed signs of feeling a little under the weather, the dental assistant suggested that "maybe [I] should work out more" to cure my allergies. Genius idea! My experience with Dr. Bayless felt pushy and rushed and I could barely get a word in during "our" discussions. I'm so bummed taking the high reviews on here to heart, yet end up with a disappointing personal experience. :( read more

If I could leave negative stars, I would. If you have ANY special dental needs with your children, don't go to this office. Military families--do NOT get dental surgery here. They say that insurance will not cover the anesthesia, but that is not the truth. Insurance will not cover THEIR anesthesiologist because he is NOT an M.D. He is a D.D.S. Military insurance WILL most likely cover an M.D. Anesthesiologist for dental surgery if medically necessary. We also had to wait almost 2 hours for our surgery, though we were there on time. They let the family who was LATE to their appt go ahead of us. I was left waiting for almost 3 more hours in the office with my 3 year old, who had had nothing to eat or drink all night or morning. I was breast-feeding a younger child at the time, but felt terrible drinking water in front of my thirsty child, so I, too, was dehydrated at the end. I wish I had known to ASK more questions before I let a DENTIST (not an MD) put my child under in the office. His strict fasting requirements are not medically necessary. The DDS who did her anesthesia did NOTHING to calm her before he gave her the initial shot. She is still scared about it. It was a nightmare. (After using a REAL M.D. for pediatric anesthesia, I know how awesome it can be to work with someone who distracts and entertains while putting a child to sleep and has more normal guidelines about eating or drinking). Dr. Bayless also left my child with a HOLE in her tooth after he could not complete a filling in office. As in--he sent us home with a hole drilled in her tooth. She certainly had a hard time with the filling, but he is a pediatric dentist and should know how to handle this. We have worked with 3 more dentists who have taken time to effectively calm her, instead of sternly telling her to calm down, which upset her more! My husband had to personally go in and ask him to fill the tooth. This tooth later abscessed. Dr. Bayless referred us to a surgeon who had NO specialty in anything pediatric or dental to deal with this. Thankfully, I took the advice from our former family dentist and found an experienced pediatric dentist in San Jose to deal with the tooth. This dentist said the tooth had been filled ON THE NERVE by Dr. Bayless which was why it abscessed. And, we had other issues to deal with which would have remained had we taken Dr. Bayless's advice to do the extraction with the local (non-pediatric/dental) surgeon. With my other child, Dr. Bayless almost put silver diamine fluoride on her FRONT teeth which stains terribly. Thankfully before he put the drops on he said, "You know this is going to stain, right?" And I said, "We are only doing the back teeth as we ALREADY discussed!" (At the last visit, where he was rushed and not paying attention...) I also had a hygienist tell me I could not bring a younger child in during an older child's visit. I asked the front desk about this who said that was not their policy, in fact, so I felt it very odd that a hygienist should tell me that. I should say I always got compliments on my children's behavior, so it had nothing to do with that. Though we had special dental needs, all of our consults were in his crowded, busy office. As a professional, he should have taken time to figure out a GOOD treatment plan, like our later dentists have done. Or, referred us out. I have worked with 5 pediatric dentists so far and now understand how wonderful a good dentist is. I only wish I had followed my gut earlier and taken the time and money to find a different dentist at the first sign of issues with this office. read more

Scheduling an appointment for my daughters 1st dentist appointment was very easy over the phone. We were reminded through a text the day before and the day of the appointment. I've worked at a medical office and first impressions are important. Besides not being greeted by the front desk everything else was great. The dental assistant was very nice through the whole process. Dr Bayless was very informative and expanded everything that we had to do at home regarding care of our daughters teeth. The exam room was very open with big nice Windows and lots of toys for our daughter to play with while we waited. We were in and out quickly! Too bad we are moving, but we'd definitely recommend this pediatric debating to anyone! read more

My experience with Dr. Bayless was not positive. He had such a great need to impress me with his financial success (I am a physician) while performing a basic procedure on my daughter. In his inattentiveness, he abraded her mouth lining causing considerable bleeding. Both factors very negative. What is not disclosed is that all the dental clinic offices in entirety are owned by a handful of the dentists practicing there. It is not therefore clear if "in-house" cross referrals are for the financial gain of the owner/partners or for the best local treatment available. Transparency would be much preferred read more

In the past, bringing my son to the dentist was the most horrifying experience ever. His tantrums and finger biting made the staff irritated & impatient. I am writing a review for this group even though they are not my children's dentists and I have never been to their office! My daughter had a dental emergency and our usual pediatric dentist was taking a bit longer than I liked to get back to me, so I called Dr. Bayless' office. The answering service said they could not help since we weren't already patients. I begged them to please see what they could do, just ask if they would be willing to call me back. We are a big family that recently moved from Southern California. Having to start looking for new pediatric doctors for our kids and new pediatric dentist is never easy, especially when leaving such good ones behind and starting new. I found Dr Bayless on yelp and have read nothing but great reviews. As a mama of 4 I've always stressed on finding a good dentist that my kids will feel comfortable with and not nervous or afraid of. Everything that people have said and even what I can possibly say would be a understatement. Dr Bayless is THEE BEST Dentist I have ever met in my life! My daughter had one cavity and needed to get it fixed and was super nervous about the Nitro mask. Dr. Brandi Faia is not only an exceptional, intelligent, pediatric dentist and is amazing at her craft, but she is a kind, ethical, sweet and genuine human being. I went to Dr. Bayless off of a referral. My son is 2 1/2 years old. I was completely dreading this visit because I knew he would freak out. I was also concerned on the Dr.'s and staff's patience. I was blown away by the amazing patience and kindness of the staff. My son's screaming had zero affect on them. The office is clean and child oriented. The have a play area of toys in every area of the office; including the exam room. There are even TV's right above the patients as they are examined. At the end, the doctor and staff gave me some great tips on brushing and flossing. They were understanding of a 2 1/2 year old fighting me to brush and floss his teeth.
