Bay Auto provided me with nothing but honest, friendly, thorough, and amazing service…read more I had been getting hit over the head by another vehicle repair company, and so many people kept telling me "take it to Bay Auto," but I had been so busy I just went with what I knew. Recently, I had my vehicle at the other repair shop, they wanted to charge me for the following (their words verbatim via text message) "The hourly charge is 159. We would need to change out the brake fluid. The part is 97.95. It also calls for 4 hours to replace that hose. So the total after parts, labor and tax is $1,169.35." I knew right then in there I needed to get my vehicle to Bay Auto. I called Bay Auto, Tim answered right away and told me "bring it in, and we will take a look at it and take care of you." I had my vehicle towed to Bay Auto, and from there they took care of everything over the phone for me. My car stayed parked in their garage safe over the weekend. Come Monday afternoon Tim calls and tells me the exact same issue with my car but the price is $356.89!!!!!! My HEART DROPPED and I cried tears of joy. The relief I had was so indescribable. I had been stressing on how in the world I was going to come up with the funds. I didn't need to stress anymore because BAY AUTO was taking care of my vehicle at a way more reasonable price. I told Tim my car was about to hit 100,000 and my vehicle app kept telling me to refer to the handbook. Tim told me he would check it out, take a look at what needs to be done then get back with me. Next day Tim called me and let me know everything looked good but the handbook does recommend a transmission flush but it was completely up to me if I wanted Bay Auto to do it now or come back at another time. I told Tim to go head and knock it out, and they did. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!!! The customer service is great, the environment is great, staff are friendly, realistic, and humble. The team at Bay Auto do their best to work with all their customers. Thank you Bay Auto!!!

Gardner Auto to the RESCUE!…read more I was in town for the weekend with my grandson for a swim competition, when my Tundra decided to die on me, I called Gardner Auto and they quickly answered my call, keep in mind, I was stranded on the side of the road when they answered my call and determined is was possible my alternator was bad, they came to my rescue, took my truck back to the shop and they got me back on the road the same day with a new alternator and new battery. WOW what amazing service ! Their service is impeccable, they are reliable, trustworthy and professional. The price was very reasonable and I had my Tundra back up and running. Dropped off on Sunday night for them to start on Monday morning. We were told it would take 1 day and possibly one overnight (2 days). On day 2, we called for an update. They were struggling to get a bolt off and did not want to break it. We followed up on Day 3, same result with the bolt. Day 4, we followed up around 3pm, still cannot get a bolt off. It was not going to be done until at least Friday. Now we are up against a weekend. After a friendly conversation with Daniel, he said they could put it back together and we could come pick the car up because I was not understanding nor believed how it takes 5 days to get a bolt off. Picked the car up Friday morning. Took it to another shop around the corner Sunday night. Monday morning they reached out to my daughter (that is customer service) and asked who had been in her car because there were several broken bolts and the oil line going to the turbo was broken. No worries, they fixed it and we had it back on Tuesday. 1.5 days and it would have been 1 day but they had to fix what Gardner broke and lied about. I called to speak to Daniel about this and his response was "I am happy you were able to get it fixed." I know now that the problem was never that they could not get the bolts off, they broke it and tried to buy time by lying and could not fix what they broke. They never once reached out to us. They only way we knew anything was if we called ourselves, and clearly they were not honest about what was going on. After asking around, it makes sense. This is also a garage that people go to that will pass their car for an inspection when it should not. Shady all the way around. Do yourself a favor and avoid taking your car here.

When I first called for an appointment and asked for the cost of a Service B I got "It depends" and no amount. I went to this location specifically for a transmission flush, but they were unable to flush it and didn't call me to tell me that. All their costs are very high. I was charged $175 for 4 spark plugs. Their labor costs are extremely high. Get a full written detailed estimate BEFORE you let them work on your car and make them stick to it. I didn't and boy do I regret it.

Good help is hard to find and this shop provides it, with great customer service. He picked me up from my house (less than 5 miles away) and took me back to the shop to get my truck!!!! I am very pleased to have found such a friendly and honest shop. He got my vehicle in to get looked at the same day I dropped it off, which by the way was the the same day (@ his shop less than half a day) he had it ready to come back to me. He didn't try to sell me anything extra and he was willing to talk future performance upgrades that I asked about, and even future services that will extend the life of my motor and transmission. They installed new compressor and I left that shop August 5,2025. They had told me I had a 1 year warranty. Back in shop on July 30, 2026. They are NOT honoring warranty. Said they did not change dryer nor orfice in closed loop system. Any good and thorough mechanic knows to do this. There was still trash left in system. This is what caused high pressure explosion under hood 1 hour into my 14 hour trip. It was a hot drive down to Texas this year! Beware of this mechanic!!! Milking and bleeding customers by doing half-work. Kinda like installing a new tire and only putting 10 pounds of air knowing it needs 35 pounds and sending customer out the door. Customer is guaranteed to break down.

She was super sweet and helpful. She listened to my problem and put Sergio on the phone who offered his expertise. He took the time to drive down the road to have a look at my pick up truck and see what he could do. He plugged in his mini computer, wiggled some things around and was super honest with me. It would take some time to get it into the shop, but these are some things I could look at based on what he saw. I looked at them and was able to fix the issue and get her started right then and there! Couldn't have done it without the time and generosity of some good people, Olga and Sergio. They will be my first call next time I need a mechanic in Corpus Christi.
