Originally named Se Joung, this place is situated in front of campsie woolies along the ramp leading up to it. I remember passing it when i was small and noticing the japanese-esque seating where you sit cross-legged on a legless chair with a bum mat on the ground. There is normal chair seating of course, the restaurant's seating is split into two different rooms so no awkward feelings of class division here lol.
For a bbq grill your own restaurant it was not smoky at all. I think this is because they use a different kind of hot flat surface to bbq your meat and somehow no smoke comes out of it. It is very efficient and the meat they serve is good quality; we had the beef brisket and marinated pork belly which both came in ample portions, perfect cutting to allow a good ratio of meat and fat, sliced thin already so we didn't need to use scissors to further cut the meat which is something we're usually forced to do other places.
I came here expecting to get bossam as i saw in older reviews but i guess since the place had been revamped/renamed it doesn't serve it anymore. Was severely disappointed as it was my birthday and it's my favourite food so just warning y'all. This Korean restaurant does not serve bossam.
Overall my experience of this place was excellent, above the usual quality of kbbq meat and almost like yakiniku, with a bonus of getting to have side dishes and Korean dishes to choose from. 10/10 would regular. read more
