I've been on a 15k mile road trip across the US for months now. One of the things I love to find while hitting the back roads is good coffee. Sammy's did not disappoint! I went 10 times! I love everything about this spot: Great conversations with the staff, absolutely top tier donuts, delicious coffee, and a pretty good music playlist sometimes. The building, Next to a tiny used car dealer (who has some real rare / minty clean 90s cars) , is in an old auto repair shop just off of the Main Street of a idilic "Small Town America" town. The aesthetic is perfect, and its vintage industrial facade gives way to a cozy and inviting interior. Kyla (the owner) and I talked all about the shop, Henry County, and the in's and out's of running such an iconic cafe. Now, please note EVERYONE at this place is awesome and friendly and make you feel at home, and everyone pulled some good espresso shots, BUT, Chelsea made the absolute BEST Iced Latte I had in the Blue Grass state. If you go, sit for a while and you'll meet and have some good talks with just about everyone that comes in. Kentucky has got some of the best and friendliest folks I've met. read more

My husband bought these today from a bakery in Eminence, got them home and they are stale, the icing on one of the cupcakes even started flaking off, cake part is stale. The large cinnamon rolls are stale as well. His purchase was $29.15 for these items.... I called them the lady argued with me and said no they can't be stale. The cupcakes were made yesterday, they can't be stale. Would not do anything at all. The lady was rude, even argued, not I'm sorry or anything. This was our first visit, didn't even know there was a bakery in Eminence. Try to support business around here, this is why most people travel to Louisville. This will be our last visit. read more

Delicious donuts and coffee. My wife and I stopped end after the Renaissance faire they look as good in person as they do online. We got a mixed dozen and I got an americano with cream coffee it was delicious. The long johns are delicious the maple bacon was delicious and my wife's favorite the peanut butter was very good also. I don't know what inspired me to drive to Eminence for donuts, but I did it! I was doing something in Louisville and decided to make a small trek out to see if this place really existed or not. They had a good variety of donuts and, in all honesty, I don't have any ups or downs from all the donuts that I tried from the place. It was basically just a good donut place! read more

This place is AMAZING. We stopped in this morning(you HAVE to get there early to get the good stuff! It sells out Fast!) and mixed a dozen donuts, long johns, crullers, red velvet donuts and more! By far the best! donuts I've ever had! The picture doesn't do justice of the local love & time put in to these. Support a small local business!! The best donuts in town.. Sammy made my daughter her Baby shower cake and cupcakes and they were out of this world delicious, the decorations that she put on there for the cupcakes and the baby shower cake was amazing. It was all hand done by Sammys bakery. Everybody was asking me where I got the cake from and the cupcakes they loved them.. I want to tell you, Sammy's bakery thank you for all the delicious cupcakes and donuts and pastries. I like fresh homemade donuts so I will reach out. read more

Most amazing doughnuts ever! This is a small local family owned business. The main focus is doughnuts daily but the also have coffees and other drinks. On special days you find cookies, breakfast croissants, quiche, cupcakes ...etc. You can also order custom made special occasion cakes/cupcakes/cookies and various other goodies. This is a wonderful family who puts their heart, love and blessings into their work. There is limited indoor and outdoor seating and a small parking lot. It has a big sign, so you won't miss it!! Highly recommend this place! Get there early if you can. read more

This is the best place to get coffee and it takes no time at all and the sweets ugh don't even get me started you can tell they are made with love and her sweat blood and tears she puts so much work into the business and it really shows and btw I've never had a messed up coffee there so if you like McDonald's coffee I would just come here because wow so much better read more

Went for the first time ever today on my way home coming from Louisville this morning after seeing posts about this place on Facebook, and I now see why I keep seeing posts about it. Probably some of the best donuts around here. The staff that were in there were really sweet and patient (it took me a while standing there staring at their cases before I ordered because they had so much, it was almost overwhelming at 9 in the morning ). Place was super clean, and the smell the whole shop had was awesome. Parking lot isn't massive, but it seemed like they got more business in their drive thru (a local small town bakery with a drive thru, how dope is that?). Honestly it was worth the trip, I get scared trying new baked goods businesses because it seems so easy to mess up baking stuff, but this wasn't the case. Got a dozen assorted donuts for $17 and some change, which is honestly pretty cheap considering everything is made in house. Tipped 30%, didn't regret it one bit. Definitely will be coming here again, often at that. Glad I got in today, 3 days before Christmas and just hours away from a snowstorm. They're closed next week for the holidays until after the first of year, and I can definitely say those wonderful people deserve the break! read more
