We were greeted with customer service soon as we went in and they were ready to take our order. Our customer associate even gave my kids donut holes while we figured out what donuts we wanted. There was tons to pick from and they were absolutely delicious, worth the money. We picked some favorites and couldn't keep them on our plates for long. read more

We LOVE donuts and the home grown authentic bakeries. St Matthews location quite impressive!! Our first visit got us 6 outstanding choices, filled to the brim and delicious!!! Since then, we've made several visits to the Fern Creek location. Our dinner dates have brought us there. Impressive......not so much!! Three different choices, nine donuts. They were hardly ok. We Always get filled. So where is it. See my strawberry cream filled!! Please take time to retrain employees there. He said, donuts blow up on him. What does that mean??? A good attitude, just needs a little supervised help to get to your high standards. I'm not messing around at $2.50 a donut. Kings will be my choice, once again. Great donut spot! I had made an online order for pickup for an event. It was super quick and easy, with my box ready to go when I got there. The donuts selection is wide and very tasty! It's a donut shop, and the donuts are generally pretty good, with a few creative choices. My only real complaint is that the donuts sometimes taste and smell somewhat greasy. I suspect this is a function of the time of day I have usually gone in for them. I don't go in the early morning, I also think that the frier oil needs to be changed out at the bakery a bit more often. At $2.50 a copy regardless of the variety chosen, I expect a bit better. I'll continue to go for Jeff's wares, with this complaint. Try them and see if they meet your donutting needs. read more

My first job was working at the local donut shop in the town I grew up in. It was as hometown as you can get (the building was a gas station before it became the Holly Donut Shop). That donut shop is still in business to this day after opening in the mid 70s. The reason I mention that is that Jeff's Donuts kind of reminds me of the Holly Donut Shop. On a Saturday afternoon my wife and I had lunch at Jersey Mike's and headed out the door and when we did I looked back and saw the "Jeff's Donuts" sign. It caught me totally by surprise! (I didn't even see it when we went in...then again Jim as hangry and the only thing on his mind was getting food.) I said to wifey "Hey, you wanna try out a new donut shop?" and she said "SURE!". We walked in the door and were greeted by that Donut Shop smell. Some businesses have very distinct smells. Churches, Hardware stores, Flower Shops are some of those. Donut Shops, too, have their own delicious smell as well. As soon as I smelled it I was taken back to my days at Holly Donuts. Behind and below the counters are various types of donuts: Powdered, glazed, chocolate covered, sprinkles, and just plain. A great variety of donuts, alllll asking me to take them home. In the corner is a cooler with a variety of soft drink (milks, soda, juice, and water). My wife made a beeline to a powdered sugar donut and I went to the chocolate covered custard. While one of the staff members bagged our purchase and rang us up we asked how long they'd been opened and we were genuinely surprised when they said they opened in December, '22. We had no idea! A few minutes later we were enjoying what I'm suddenly going to call "The desserts you didn't know you wanted". It's been a very long time since I had a chocolate covered custard donut, and it was PHENOMENAL. Not jut because it tasted good, but because it tasted like a part of my childhood as well. Did I mention they're open 24/7? That could be a dangerous thing, having fresh donuts that close to home. :) read more

I usually visit Jeff's late whenever I visit Louisville and the last two times I have visited this location. Service has been great and they even made me some special donuts I requested. Donuts Holes are a must 9.5/10 Blueberry Cake 7.5/10 Blueberry Frosted with Lemon Filling 9/10 Strawberry Frosted with White Cream 8/10 Chocolate Yeast 8.5/10 For a 24/7 place these are as good as you're going to get at 9PM. read more

Ok so mind you we went in late but it's a 24 hour donut shop... they guy was kinda annoyed but eh I tried to brighten his day anyhow. I only received three donuts that I actually ordered and the rest were incorrect... so uhm yeah. The custard I didn't order I wouldn't of ever I didn't like it cause I don't like custard in my donuts anyhow... the cherry... was ok I wanted raspberry so eh. The kid got a peanut butter one... said it was a lot of peanut butter... stupid thick. And a cereal one with fruity pebbles on it... said the cereal itself was weird but ok. Now apparently the baker in the morning decided to do everything with fudge that was supposed to be cinnamon... so the cinnamon rolls and tiger tails etc... they were... not so great but eh I paid for them and tried a bite. So I can say I have. The star obviously the glazed. Period. Now I know not to go later at night.... When picking up jersey mikes... Will go early. Will make sure order is exactly what I ask for... This place is great! A small Donut shop with a large selection of goodies! I really like this place. Its simple. You walk in, order your stuff, they get it, you pay, its over! Your out the door! These donuts not only look super tasty, they are! They are a bit larger than the usual size donut, and strange as that sounds, its okay. You can make a donut the size of a wedding cake and I wouldn't complain! They have milk, coffee, you know the usual stuff that donuts shops usually have. We've been here more that a dozen times in less than 2 weeks and I can tell you that each time was just as good as the last. We've tried the blueberry, the glazed, and the cream filled and they were absolutley the best ever! The place can get busy, but they are pretty fast . Grab one or a dozen! read more

The best steak in Kentucky! My husband is a carnivore and eats meat everywhere all over Kentucky. He rarely eats out, but he loves Pat's Steak House. Pat opened the restaurant at 1:00 one morning when my husband called him to tell him we were having our first baby! It was the only place we wanted to go to celebrate the good news. The meat melts in your mouth. If you like lima beans (few places to get lima beans) and their desserts are absolutely out of this world.If I knew where I could get meat like that, I would do it. Jeff's has a narrow selection of classic donuts and a smaller case of somewhat creative donuts. All are extremely large and sweet. The dough itself is airy and light across all donuts - not too dense like so many other donut places. The glazed, fritters, etc. have a lot of sugar glaze - maybe too much for my taste. But the custard has less in-you-face sweetness. It has an airy chocolate frosting on top that complements it well. read more

These are the best donuts!! They're a little pricy, but they're huge and super tasty. They have your average glazed and chocolate sprinkles but they also have so many unique ones and I appreciate their hours being flexible as well! They also often send out coupons so that helps with the price. I recommend! read more

Definitely some of the best donuts in the city! The staff is very friendly as well. If you want great donuts at 7 a.m., noon, or 1 a.m., this is the spot! Each location is open 24 hours, and I have seen great consistency no matter what time I go. My only complaint is the price, as they have apparently heard how great they are and adjusted. Each donut is $2.50, meaning a dozen is $30! So be careful getting carried away, or you might need a reverse mortgage to pay for them. Is the price going to stop me? Nope. I'm not sure I'll be buying in bulk, but it's way better than previously frozen donuts like Dunkin, plus they're local. For specific recommendations, the cinnamon roll, lemon or raspberry filled, or cake donuts are all outstanding, I doubt you'll be disappointed with any of them. read more

The service was amazing. The doughnuts were delicious, homemade (not frozen like many of our places in AZ), priced fairly, and truly worth our drive. Went to Jeff's Donuts around 1:18am with a friend since they're open 24 hours. We were excited to try something new, but the experience was honestly super disappointing. As soon as we walked in, the guy working said, "What can I do for you?" in the most annoyed, rude tone -- not even a simple "Hi" or "Welcome." My friend and I kind of looked at each other like... okay? We chuckled to shake it off, trying not to make it a big deal, but then he rolled his eyes, sighed, and walked off to the back saying, "I'll be back when you're ready." It was weird and awkward. We were trying to choose donuts, it hadn't even been 3 minutes and I guess he asked us something from the back, but we didn't hear him. So he came out and said again, rudely, "Are you guys ready?" I said, "Not yet, sir," trying to be polite, and he turned around and left again. At that point, the vibe was just off. We ended up leaving without buying anything. Not sure if he was having a bad night, but there's no reason to treat customers like they're a burden, especially when it's literally your job to sell donuts. We won't be coming back. read more

If you're in Fern Creek and have never known what good doughnuts are, this is a 5 star establishment. If you've lived elsewhere in Louisville, this stacks up to any OG neighborhood shop it town. Jeff's does fried-pies as well -limited qualities though- please leave an apple for me. read more

I had heard of Jeff's Donuts but with a lifetime of dieting, I had never tried them or traveled to a location. I was in the area and remembered that I really wanted to try them. Was easy parking and with it being afternoon, I thought they would be out of the most popular donuts like many of the other donut shops in town...then I noticed the sign on the door that they are open 24/7. What??!! Surely they will have some donuts that my picky family will like. I walked in and was greeted immediately by a friendly lady who promptly told me to let her know if I didn't see a particular type of donut that they had more in the back, as they had moved some things around. MORE IN THE BACK??!!! They already had so many to choose from! They were fully stocked and with types of donuts I've never seen before! The shop was bright and clean, even the counters were spotless. I stopped at 1/2 dozen and was given a delivery coupon if I chose to later get some delivered. I waited a couple of hours once home before trying any and the maple nut filled donut is my new favorite. The donuts are huge, soft, extremely delicious and the ones that are filled donuts are completely filled! Jeff's Donuts IS NOW MY NEW FAVORITE! I took pics to show my husband all the kinds they had. I will be making trips and have already called a family member to share my wonderful donut experience and pictures! Can't wait to go back! read more
