No one showed up, and I was left waiting at home with no apparent notice that the appointment would not be kept. I contacted HomeTrends afterward and expressed my frustration about the missed appointment and the time I had wasted. I was initially told they would arrange for someone else to come out. Instead, the owner subsequently told me that it would be better for me to take my business to another blinds company and that they no longer wanted to work with me. That response surprised me. A missed appointment can happen. What mattered more to me was how the company handled it afterward. Rather than apologizing, taking responsibility, and trying to make things right, their solution was essentially to tell the customer to go elsewhere. There are plenty of companies selling and installing window treatments. Based on my experience, I would choose one that is more reliable, respects its customers' time, and makes customers feel that their business is valued. BTW, they did tell me if I wrote a negative review that "I was a bad person". Well, this review is only intended to give you, the consumer, an insight to my experience. I am not sure that constitutes me as being a "bad" person, but again maybe insight to how HomeTrends perceives upset customers verse working out an amendable solution.

The location is also very convenient, as it's in a large plaza with several other great stores nearby. My only real criticism is the clearance section. It seems fairly limited at this particular location, especially compared with other HomeSense locations I've visited where the clearance sections are much larger. I also feel that some of the clearance pricing here is still higher than I would expect. For example, I saw a large rug originally priced at $600 that had a significant hole in it--large enough that it looked like two sizable pieces were missing. It was marked down to $400, which, in my personal opinion, still seemed quite high for a rug with that substantial of a defect. Overall, I really like this HomeSense and will continue to shop here. I just wish there were more clearance items and that the markdowns reflected the condition of heavily damaged merchandise a little more.

It's definitely the kind of place where you're either shopping for yourself or a woman whose taste you know really, really well. Because you're dealing with a home store with an independently-curated selection of stuff, the gifts aren't safely generic like Pottery Barn or Williams-Sonoma--I hope that makes sense. I really have a bias against indifferent customer service. We browsed the store for a while, it has many cute things probably typical prices for a small "boutique" style store. We were not asked if we needed help with anything nor were we acknowledged until my sister asked for help. They sounded happy to assist once she asked and were very nice when she paid for the product.
