We never have trouble with finding what we need and more. It's busy on the weekends but still easy to navigate. All the employees are nice. I love the scan and go on my phone. This is also the pizza, hot dog and ice cream go to. It is a bit difficult to figure out the food orders in the app and the older people that aren't into technology are out of luck. Overall a great Sam's location, but they need to accept orders at the counter for those that don't have the ability to use the app. read more

Sam's Club gas is no longer a deal, even though you pay to get gas there. I paid $3.90 per gallon of premium on 11/26/25. I can get it at other Anne arundel stations for $3.45. Also they stopped taking orders at the cafe. You have to order and pay at store registers first, would have been a customer friendly idea to post this before I waited in line for 15 minutes. Time not to renew. Their prices aren't that good and the service is terrible. read more

Great Sam's Club. I had fun walking the entire store starting from electronics, then house cleaning supplies, down to clothing, books, toys, candies, frozen foods, picked up the best ROTI chicken and a nice big package of plump blackberries! The customer service desk was very helpful. There were only two "live" cashiers, promoting self checkout instead. The downside was random people trying to hard sell you in the aisles. I just ignored them and walked past. Sheesh they're persistent and just annoying! Please, get rid of these sales people. It truly distracted from my immense joy of shopping. I went to the Sam's Club gas station at 8am since I was already in the area. Very few cars around at that time in the morning. Most lanes are empty. There was a car in front of me so I used the second slot. As I was putting gas in, the car in front of me left. A few seconds later, a man in a truck pulled up behind me. He can clearly see that the pump in front of me is empty, but he stays behind me for some reason. Should I repeat again that there are MANY empty slots where he can put his gas in? When I'm done, I'm finally at this location where it is empty so I decided to clean my windows since a Sam's Club gas station is usually pretty busy and I've been seriously busy. I went to grab a windshield cleaner between the pumps which is when he decided to drive around me to the front pump. A few seconds later, another man pulls up behind me. I saw that so I'm trying to wipe off salt on my windows from the snow as quickly as I can since I've been traveling and driving in the snow and I just got back in town late last night. It took a total of 1 minute. I also knew that it was hard to put my credit card in so I thought I should quickly report that to the Sam's Club employee who is outside. The man behind me honks, honks, honks, honks nonstop like an immature, whiny child. I quickly talked to the Sam's Club employee and reported that the pump is not taking my credit card. The card won't go in and it's difficult to take out. When I walked over to my car, the man in front of me is swearing at me. Then the man who pulled up to an empty pump is screaming at me. I rolled down my window and yelled, "You can't wait 1 minute? You can't wait ONE or TWO minutes?!" But they scream nonstop over each other and they're yelling over me. I don't know what the HELL their problems are. What the hell are their problems? They can't wait ONE minute or move their vehicle to one of the 11 another pumps? I had to run errands much, MUCH EARLIER that morning and it's Saturday morning--- Sam's Gas Station is almost EMPTY!!! Check the security cameras for evidence! If I were a man or a person of color, I'm certain that these men would NOT be yelling and swearing their heads off and harassing me like this. I reported the men to Sam's Club customer service and manager and told that if there are customers harassing other people, train your employees to STOP them before they escalate. DO NOT GET TIRE SERVICES HERE!!! I had tires installed & had to reset my own tire pressure only to find the tires weren't filled properly (2 under filled with 1 significantly under & 2 significantly over). I had to return to the club later to get this sorted out & yet again I needed to reset my own tire pressure only to find the tires weren't filled properly again. This time they severely overfilled the one that was severely under. Due to returning to the club, I missed 2 appointments. Ended up taking my car to BMW so they can inspect my tires and fill them to the proper pressure!!! I'm not sure what the issue is but this is unacceptable. You only get 1 time to make a good first impression & I'll NEVER let these people even look in the direction of my car again. It's not that hard to be competent & fill tires to the proper pressure. Hell the information is in the door panel. Just check if you're unsure. I called customer server because the store doesn't answer & they're just as sorry!! I got no resolution & the call was continually disconnected. Never even got to speak to a manager. I take care of my cats very well & it sucks that this was my experience. I'd rather spend twice as much at the dealer than to ever let Sam's even look in the direction of my car. read more

Such a great store and resource in the Annapolis area. Not too crowded, quality items and the "Scan & Go" smartphone app makes it so easy! I did notice they reduced nearly HALF of the cashiers to "self checkout" lanes. Although I would prefer that myself, it's a shame to see jobs go away. (I'm not one to talk using the app but at least I keep the Developers and Apple in business). But anyway, I find their spring gardening items very awesome as well as their items in their "pharmacy" area, such as ibuprofen, probiotics and toothpaste. They also have incredible deals on aluminum foil, resalable bags and stuff like that. I don't buy a lot of their laundry items and other things because I simply don't have room in my house for two gallons of Shout for my laundry! I also wish I could eat as much pork shoulder (butt) that they sell. They have some good looking butts just perfect for the smoker and big BBQs. Unfortunately, my BBQ and stomach can't handle a 10 point pork shoulder. Maybe for my next party - whenever that may be! I gave it only 4 stars because the majority of the employees seem to lack any type of personality or human interaction skills. I have had some pleasant experiences with the cashiers but I use the app now. But everyone else are not really people persons. Especially the lady who hounded me today to get a Sam's Club credit card. Argh! So this is an update specifically related to online order and pick up. Be prepared for a long wait over the holidays. I order a few items (under 10) for a 3-4 pick up window. I was there at 3:50 figuring I'd get the email or txt and be there already. Well, i called from the spot to check in only to learn the order had not been put together. Long story short they were overwhelmed on a Wednesday, late afternoon early eve.time. I'm patient to a fault, went inside got other items I forgot, (because I couldn't get anyone on the phone, after I checked outline, to adjust; so I just went in, but in hindsight I could've pulled the entire order, as the store wasn't that busy. Well, I came back to my car still not ready, so I went back in, yet again & waved down three sales people; and finally; got someone to pull my order* I typically don't use this service but as I am recovering from an injury I thought to give it a try. Just be aware this may not be the move if you have a few things vs people who have palette full of orders. Stephanie* was helpful in pulling the order so I could be on my way; and Kenny always helpful at the pump -so there's that! Edward... not so much. read more

I purchased a membership to this club because I received a discounted deal. Plus, it is very conveniently located to our home. We already have a membership to another wholesale club that we have had for over 30 years and have been very pleased with. The reason I wanted to try Sam's Club is because of the convenient location as well as the fact I have heard they offer different items that BJ's does not. This is true and we have been pleased with the different variety we can find. There are a few things that we do not prefer. If the club has a section for frozen lunches like lean cuisine I have yet to find it! We purchase club packs of those kinds of items and find them very useful. I was disappointed when I was not able to find the same sort of thing at Sam's Club. In addition, the layout is a bit random. Besides that it is a very affordable club membership and the gas prices are nice as well. The staff is friendly and they are handling the pandemic restrictions and taking all of the necessary precautions to provide a safe experience. If you are looking for an affordable club membership you definitely should consider Sam's Club. However, make sure you do some research to ensure that they offer some of the items you are used to getting at other clubs. Overall, it's a good deal for the cost. read more

I've been trying to order cup cakes from this sams club since Wednesday. I called the store and was told I can't order them over the phone. I live 45 minutes from this sams club and I am a frequent shopper here. i need these by Saturday. I was told I have to use the app or come into the store to order. I spoke to the store manager. She took down my name and number and she would take my order when she went down to the bakery. I never received a call. Very frustrating and inconvenient. I'm not sure why I need to come to the store to place the order. Wouldn't it take just as much time to take my order over the phone verses me showing up in person? It's been years since I updated my review of Sam's Club. Certainly it isn't because we aren't there regularly. With only one exception the fuel is cheaper than any other place in Annapolis; the only way to beat it is by using Giant Food reward points at select Shell stations. We've used the pharmacy, the optical shop, and tire/auto in addition to the main warehouse section. We're quite content with the prices and selection. Meats are first rate. Veg is between good and very good. House brands are generally very good. Canned goods are the same you get anywhere else for less money. Parking is plentiful. You have to choose between parking near the entrance or the exit. There are new(ish) self check-out lanes that speed up check-out for everyone. Those of us with a DIY bent get through faster and reduce traffic for those who prefer a cashier. This is good for everyone. They aren't very good at responding to unexpected surges in traffic. If customer service backs up there will be no help from managers. You just have to wait. If check-out lanes back up there will be no stockers coming to help or call-ins of extra staff. If I see long lines and few cashiers when I walk in I just leave and come back another day. All in all the Sam's Club in Annapolis part of our regular shopping routine. It does help to have a small chest freezer. That has made Sam's membership pay for itself many times over. read more

Either you're a Costco kind of person or you're a Sam's Club person. I'm a Sam's Club kind of gal! I don't know, something about Sam's that I like much better than Costco. Granted, Costco is closer to me and I do have a membership card, but I would prefer Sam's over Costco any day. They have items in Sam's that I can't get in Costco. For instance, the brand of toilet tissue and paper towels that I love are only sold at Sam's and the variety overall is plentiful. On my recent trip, I purchased 4 new tires. Yes, you read that correctly, 4 brand spankin' new tires. After I picked my jaw up from the ground from the cost of the tires, I did a little shopping while they were installed. It took the tire installation staff less than an hour to install the tires. AWESOME SAUCE! The staff was quick, professional and helpful! That goes for the staff in the entire store, not just the tire staff. I was able to find a few other products that I can never find in Costco and I was then on my merry little way. I always seem to find items that I need as well as items I didn't know I needed when I come to Sam's! I'm like a kid in a candy store! CHACHING! read more

There was human poop on the floor on one of the aisle's by the shoes on a busy Sunday. How could the employees not see this?? I witnessed two women walk right over the poop. I told an employee and they responded quickly however I ask again: Don't you have security working monitoring the store? Don't you have a security team that watches the cameras? This place has everything you could ever need and in the sizes that you wouldnt need to go back for quite some time! Their meat cuts are fresh, solid and well worth the price. There produce was fresh, and the store was clean. I wanted to give a special shout out though to this company. I am in the military, and they opened their doors to us, while these idiots in DC try to get their heads out of their asses!! I wish I had read these reviews before buying tires here. The salesman was rude and even though I asked for two tires he recommended I needed 4 new tires due to dry rot so I ordered 4. They took nearly two weeks to arrive even though they told me it would be max 4 days and when I called they could never give me an updated ETA; just told me to wait and call back. When they arrived I went to drop off the vehicle so I wouldn't have to wait and they wouldn't let me leave it overnight. Then I was advised by several others who know tires that only two of the tires need to be replaced as two of them were only a year old and perfectly fine. So I'm taking the tires elsewhere to be mounted and won't be back. They have good deals on other crap though if you don't expect service. read more

I ordered a TV from Sam's Club online during a one day sale. They shipped it to my house, but the screen was damaged in shipping. I tried to exchange it for the exact same TV, or a comparable TV that is t damaged. They would not offer an exchange, only a refund, and wanted me to drive it to a FedEx location. The Good: One of the larger Clubs in the area, and reasonably well laid out. The gas station has the cheapest gas in the area, by far. The Bad: Most checkout lanes are self-check. The self-check lanes now require you to move everything from the cart you had been using while shopping to a new cart. This was not always the case. Now, if you've loaded a bunch of very heavy things, the lady doesn't care, you have to move it anyway. Why? So she can sanitize your cart and set it up for the next person checking out. That doesn't make any sense. Also, her running back and forth sanitizing carts and forcing people to move their items to a new cart really slows the self check process because over half of all self-checkouts seem to require an employee to come and finish the process...and she gets aggravated whenever you wave to her trying to get her attention. I stood there for over 5 minutes one day last month because she was not paying any attention except for making people swap their goods into a new cart. The whole move-your-stuff-to-a-new-cart process also really slows down the self-check process because where I could scan everything in my cart in about a minute or two, it now takes five minutes or more in some cases. The Ugly: Don't come on a weekend. Holy cow, does the human trash show up from everywhere with their entire extended families to graze upon the many sample stations strategically located to block as much traffic as possible. Sad, pathetic-looking families of proto-humans block every aisle waiting for more samples to finish cooking or grunt in small-talk-like grunts with the employees punished with staffing the teriyaki chicken sample station that day. They leave their carts in the middle of the aisles and you can't get around them. They don't appear to understand either English or Spanish because no amount of asking them to move in either language results in any movement whatsoever except to reach back to the counter to grab yet another sausage with peppers or dispose of the paper cups. It is funny to watch them accidentally grab some sort of healthy snack though...the looks on their faces are usually hilarious. Still...if you want to eat lunch, proto-humans, stop at Denny's or McDonald's on your way to this Club and leave your spawn at home. read more

What has happened to Sam's pizza crust and their pretzels??? I shop here often (Annapolis store) and have always loved these two items on their cafe menu. They have stopped having the pretzels altogether, and their original tasty hand-formed pizza crust has been replaced by something doughy, tasteless, and commercial, like the pre-shaped ones (with the little holes punched in them) you see in the refrigerator cases at some stores. A real disappointment - I only hope this is some sort of supply-chain issue that will get fixed eventually! I love this Sam's club! Always clean and well stocked. The employees are friendly and helpful. There's also so much parking available. I know the two Sam's Clubs closest to me are in shopping centers so I'm always struggling to find parking. I also come here to get gas when I can since member prices are excellent. Got to say the people who run SAM in Annapolis are awesome. I know nearly every face, from greeter to receipt checker. Its' like family at SAMS. The deals cannot be out done, if you can buy it there you got the lowest price. But my beef is the quality of the food offerings and the size. The warehouse store has a future but not on heaps of low quality food. How about some Prime beef, some organic veg, or can't I just take 1 pack of tortillas.
