I'm probably in here about once a week for dinner, typically one of their freshly made sandwiches with a hot side or soup.  Here's why I'm a very loyal fan: the bread is ALWAYS fresh.  It's a soft sub roll, never stale, never unappetizing.  The deli ingredients and toppings are usually quite fresh as well, but to me, the foundation of a good sandwich is the bread, and I don't know how they do it, but Wawa never disappoints on that level.   They are toasting sandwiches now, which is always good.  Their mac and cheese is pretty spot on for what it is.  Their soups are usually quite good, and they will gladly offer you samples of whatever you'd like.  The menu updates fairly frequently, so there might be new items that you haven't tried before.  For instance, they've been doing quesadillas for a little while now, too.   The staff are always very friendly and approachable, even after hours and up late.  We were so glad when this location opened, and on a week night when I've been at the office entirely too late, nothing says comfort food like a dinner from Wawa.  Thank you so much, gas station food bastion!  You are the example that others should follow! I wrote the three paragraphs above about 9 years ago, and I stand by it today. The only difference is, they now finish baking the bread in-store, so it's even MORE fresh than before. They've also expanded their deli offerings quite a bit, but I still come back to the standard sandwich and soup or side. I'm also nearly addicted to their brand of flavored teas, especially the diet ones. (Trying to watch the sugar intake). They almost always have them on sale 2 for $2, which is also a bargain in addition to being so tasty. Oh, and they've also started offering online ordering. Total time saver! I do wish you could use the rewards in-app and not need to bring the phone to the store. It's a long story, but anyway... still nice to have rewards. Keep doing what you're doing, Wawa! Wawa is about at rock bottom with me. It used to be the go to place for great fast food but COVID really changed things for most of the Wawas in Maryland. I don't frequent this one in Gambrills but I can certainly understand the poor rating. Went in today for lunch and ordered a chicken burrito bowl and small chicken noodle soup. Usually the bowls are pretty decent but not today! The rice and bean were not cooked properly, they were hard in places. And the guy who made it didn't put on the chipotle sauce so it was very dry to eat. I think there was about a half a teaspoon of guacamole that I paid extra for. The chicken noodle soup was mostly broth. And to add insult to injury it was 15 dollars for subpar food. It is very difficult to find workers that care. Your employees need HR training. Staff is very immature and inconsiderate of adults with mental disabilities. I usually come here 3-5 times a week! Came in today 7/6/25 a little after 10AM. A man who clearly has some form of autism came in to get something prepared from the kitchen. He was friendly and talking to the kitchen employees about his last job since the staff was talking about hours. He continued speaking quite a bit which is normal for people with autism. The staff were not engaging with him, which is not even where my problem lies. He got his smoothie from the kitchen, and the kitchen staff didn't even wait until he got out the first door to start loudly CACKLING at him. He had to have heard them. The MANAGER was laughing at him! There was nothing to laugh about. The man was being polite and making conversation. They continued laughing about it saying "Do you know him?! I don't! What the hell?" Even after I got my food and was walking out the door. The employees displayed absolutely disgusting behavior and I am in disbelief they felt comfortable doing it in front of other customers. Needless to say I will be going to ROFO tomorrow. read more

They never get an order right. They never delivered an order and will not respond to my emails or calls. They called me and laughed when they said things weren't available. I asked for substitutions and they said no. It was about $40. I ordered thru their app. I took a chance and tried to order again this weekend and items were missing again. This time thru door dash. So not again. They do seem on the cleaner side gas station wise, but I'm now out over $50 with tips and charges and they can't even respond. read more

This was a cool location. Stopped on our way up to nyc to grab some coffee and some breakfast! I don't eat pork so they custom made a turkey sausage egg and cheese croissant for me ! It was really good especially from a gas station. I'm use to eating Wawa hoagies but never tried their breakfast sandwich ! I would get it again ! And the Coffe is delish! They have a variety - you can get a cool custom flavor or make your own. I made a small blueberry cobbler coffee with French vanilla creamer and stevia !! Sooo good. But they have several types of coffee, sugar and creamer. The check out line was a bit long but it moved quick- however we used the self checkout which worked really well! I went to this location this morning to grab some Redbull on my way to work. all the signage posted stated 2 12oz cans for $6. when i got to the cooler is was practically empty. I asked the team member if he could locate the cans I wanted. He went in the back and came out shortly after saying they didn't have the product in 12oz only in 8 oz. I asked if I could get 3 8oz cans equaling the 24oz special they were advertising. He went to the General Manager who said No. It would mess up their inventory. Apparently the correct number of cans they have is more important than the customers and honoring the advertising they have all over the store. Maybe if they were actually on top of tracking inventory they would have had the product I was looking for. I have worked in retail for decades and i know the customer isn't always right but I also know what exceptions and discounts can be done. The Manager is able to key in 3 cans and discount 1 so the price totals out correctly which would alleviate the inventory issue. Maybe is the General Manager even bothered to come out and talk to me about the issue we could have came to a resolution but he/she just didn't care enough to try to help. This review is for the sub/food area. I ordered an Italian sub on wheat bread with mayo, provolone, bacon, pickles, tomato, onions, and spinach) with a medium Buffalo Mac & Cheese. The Buffalo Mac & Cheese had quite a kick. I loved my Italian sub. They definitely don't skimp on the toppings. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The sub area is always busy, but they do a good job of getting orders out efficiently. Or at least, they have whenever I've been there. This store is almost always busy. Any employee I've dealt with at this location has been polite and friendly. The store is pretty clean as well. read more

During my UMD days my morning started with WAWA! The best coffee to wake my ass up. The best breakfast sammiches, deli food, junk food etc this place was my headquarters for my cravings that my crappy meal plan wouldn't cover. Gas is usually cheaper here when compared to other stations in this area but it can be very crowded. It is located at the corner of 3 and 175 so things can get a bit crowded especially in the afternoon. There are plenty of pumps and this is good thing with the constant flow that seems to be at this particular WaWa. Things would go quicker if patrons would move their car instead of going into WaWa to get one of those tasty sandwhiches. Just be careful as many drivers are not paying attention to anything but an open pump. read more

Be warned, if you go in around lunch time you may or may not get your food. I waited for 15 min as i was being skipped by people who had ordered sandwiches after me. I aske the young lady behind the counter if they had already made my order and with an attitude she replied that orders dont come out in sequence. I then asked her to check since my nuber was 690 and they were now calling orders in the 780s, when she did she saw that they had skipped my order or gave it to someone else. She then re-printed the ticket and handed to to the gentleman next to her for a remake. I waited another 15 min and saw the look on my face she nudged the dude to make my sandwich. After five more minutes i decided to try and just get my money back. I couldnt even do that bc inly the manager can and he was stuck on the line trying to catch them up. In the 30 min i waited for a sandwich i saw 2 misorders where the customer brought back the food and told them it wasnt what they had ordered. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE DELI under management of young girl named Jasmyne and there was another girl in the deli that was the rudest young white female that I ever met who obviously doesn't know how to read the sandwich cards, value customer service, or know how to kindly treat paying customers. This a complaint regarding the poor customer service that I received at the deli station. The store that I would like to file against the WAWA located at 701 Annapolis Road Gambrills MD this occurred around 10:30pm. It is at the corner of Route 301 and 175. My 9yr old daughter and I stop to get a turkey and apple smoked bacon panini from Wawa almost every Sunday and Wednesday evening. I we ordered our sandwich, the young guy (white) at the register was extremely nice. While waiting for my sandwich, the two girls in the back are talking and the one girl (the manager) is talking about her vacation that is coming up to Puerto Rico. When we got our sandwich, we got in the car down the street on my way home and realized that the sandwich was missing the (chipotle?)sauce and was super dry. I turned around, went in and nicely told the lady (young white female...super rude) behind the counter that my sandwich didn't have sauce on it. She says, "Sauce doesn't come on that sandwich." I said, "yes it does. I got the turkey bacon panini". She says to the other girl Jasmyn (who says she is the manager - biracial maybe), "no, I made it correctly and she got the quesadilla. It doesn't come with sauce." I told her that my number was 143 and she just made it. I then used the screen to look it up and told her exactly what she was supposed to put on the sandwich. The girl is still disputing me that no sauce comes on the sandwich. Jasmyne comes up and says, "Re-enter it and we will make you another one." I did that, reordered a turkey and applewood bacon panini with extra bacon. As I am waiting, no one apologizes for the white ladies rude behavior or the inconvenience of coming back to the store because they made my sandwich incorrectly. I'm waiting. Jasmyne says, "I will need the sandwich back." My daughter and I share the sandwich. She had already started eating her sandwich. I told Jasmyne, "the sandwich is in the car and my daughter has already started eating her half". Then jasmyne goes on to tell me that she is not going to give me another sandwich unless I give her the original one. Meanwhile, I really just came in for the sauce but the lady so rudely said that it didn't come with sauce, the sandwich at this point was cold, and in my car, I was inconvenience by traveling back to the WAWA only for the staff to be rude, including the manager on duty (Jasmyne). I leave to go to my car (in the rain) to get the sandwich, bring it back in to show her that it had absolutely NO SAUCE on it. She slams the sauce in a plastic container and still no apologies nor would she make another sandwich. I told her that I would be writing a complaint. I asked to speak with the manager. Jasmyne said, "I am the manager." She was a young girl. I'm curious how you all train on customer service because that is the WORST experience ever. I wanted to throw the sandwich and the sauce at her. We will not be purchasing gas, food, or catering any longer with the WAWA at this location. If this is not the venue to file the complaint against the manager and the rude girl that made my sandwich. Please let me know where else to send this letter. read more

I love going to Wawa because there are more selections here than other convenience stores. My husband and I come here on a weekly basis after our bowling league to pick up drinks and snacks on our way home. I love their soda fountain machines because you have a large selection along with flavors to add. My husband loves their rice krispies treats. This is a very busy gas station / convenience store located along route 3 (accessible from 3 North and 3 South). I've noticed that the gas prices here are consistently higher than other gas stations. Perhaps because it's the last gas station prior to getting on the highway. Plenty of gas pumps and you can pay at the pump or inside. If you opt to pay inside, pay first and then pump your gas to avoid creating a long wait for others. Inside the store you can order deli sandwiches and other hot/cold food items. Of course there are coffee and doughnuts for those making a pit stop before heading to work. For those looking to get rich or die trying there is a lottery kiosk (do it yourself types) instead of a person assisting with purchase of lottery tickets. During peak times the lines can be a little long so do your part to have your form of payment ready and show some patience to the new cashiers in training. Whenever I have questions I am always quickly helped or someone will have a manager come out to make sure things are going as they should. I grew up in Delaware but moved to Texas in the late '90s when I was a teen. I recently moved back to the east coast. You want to know what one of the top reasons that I wanted to move back was? Wawa. No joke. I missed the AMAZING hoagies. I have a thing for sandwiches. I have never had a bad one at any Wawa I've ever visited--and I've eaten quite a few in my day. Turkey, roast beef, Italian...heck, even their cheesesteaks aren't bad. I love their touch screen ordering system. Even when there is a line to pick up your sandwich, you never have to wait more than two or three minutes, tops. The employees are always friendly. Every time I pass a Wawa, I gasp, exclaim, "WAWA!" and smile with excitement. I have a feeling I will never stop this behavior, no matter how long I end up living here. WAWA RULES! read more

I'm giving this WaWa 3 stars because there is a young lady that works later in the evening at the register and she is so incredibly kind. Always asks how we are and if she can help us with anything. I wish I had gotten her name. My food is typically correct as well. As for the food employees, I've only encountered 1 or 2 somewhat nice people. In particular, there is a young lady that also works late night (possible name, Frankie?) I've had 3 encounters with her within the past month and she is just plain rude. I understand not being upbeat or happy to be at work. We've all been there. But this girl is as mean as they get. I brushed it off for 2 trips but after she rolled her eyes and got a huge attitude with me over asking for a side of sauce, I decided it was time to call her out. I love WaWa and I will continue to come here but she really makes me dread coming in later in the evening. read more
