Went yesterday (3/1) one of the workers was giving out samples their brand of popcorn, wound up buying a bag! Really good. Only complain is the lines take long and we were buying a STACKED cart + palate carts worth of supplies for a conference so self checkout wasn't an option. The process took a while. Sams club in asheville can't be trusted. They charge $23 a lb for beef steak it's so tough you can't chew it. The packages of pork chops has good pork chops on top and trash pork under the good. There are a lot of great things at Sam's Club. This particular location had Regular gas at $3.18 as of 6/17/24. You can't go wrong with a $5 dollar chicken . I will probably never go to Sams again. Just had knee surgery and very hard to get around. Could not get an answer on the phone after MULTIPLE tries. My dog is 7 years old and has NEVER had any dig food other than Pedegree! The web sight only said not available for curb pick- up or ordering on line. Got my crippled self there, they were out? Or don't carry it anymore? Also did not gave ANY antifreeze!! Totally dead trip!!!! AND really had a hard time getting in and out of the store when a SIMPLE phone call would have helped!!!!!! I don't know why everyone is hating on this Sam's Club. While mildly humorous, some of these other reviews are descriptive of the warehouse club-shopping experience in general. The club is packed, sure, but, again, it is what it is. Most of the products are stocked fairly well, and I've always seen the store clean when I've been in. Occasionally there is a register or two "down," but the last few times I was in, there was only one self-checkout that wasn't open, and all the cashier lanes were operational. Plenty of parking and of course, there's the good ol' Sam's Club gas nearby. read more

I ordered an online ordered to be delivered with delivery for 5-7Pm, received an email was running late would be delivered. Called customer service was promised delivery at 8am the following day of course no delivery call customer service was told no driver had been assigned call my club was told that again no driver I asked who assigned driver "I don't have a clue" o hold for 15 mins called backed asked for manager was told had assigned driver should be delivered within the hour we shall see. Had a great time looking around and even got some amazing chocolate. Which apparently you can only get once a year which I found interesting but love the chocolate. Also love the free food samples you get as you shop. The food that we had along with a drink was a shrimp wrap with Greek yogurt and rotel tomatoes and the drink was a Lipton Green Tea Citrus. It's a great place to go to get things a lot cheaper and in bulk. The only downfall is I wish I had one closer to my house. But I enjoyed getting to spend the day with my grandmother. read more

Went in today. Last time I went I swore I would never go back. There is no customer service at checkout. My total was like 15 bucks and it wouldn't accept my debit or credit card. I was told by staff & manager they could not fix my flat tire while I waited and the next appointment was in six days. Six days on my SUV's donut would be dangerous as it states no more than 3. Free tire repair is useless if problems can't be fixed in a reasonable time. Back to Costco for future purchases and sorry to have tried Sam's again. Sam's was closer but not worth enduring bad service or in this case no service as I had to go elsewhere and pay to have it fixed. read more

I like Sam's; it's a great place to stock up on almost everything you could ever need. Yes, lines are long and it's usually crowded, but what do you expect from a warehouse club store? Do you thrive on chaos? Does waiting in a queue with a dozen geriatrics in their Power Wheelchairs for an hour for your medication that was set to refill with their "convenient auto refill" 4 days past get your conversational juices flowing? My personal favorite are the oversized carts and undersized aisles.Then this is The Club for you! My 2 year old daughter and I had flu medicine and a club pickup order and were both sick. I always have the privilege of parking in Club Pickup. We are not only a Business Account, we are Corporate. I also Volunteer for two charitable organizations for Club Pickup. I always use my Personal Vehicle. The Club Order was not ready, and we waited 30 minutes for prescriptions that were only half ready. Then my vehicle is called out 3 times to move from said Zone. Having been a Corporate Member for 14 years, the Associate who knows my family just said that was quite rude of management. I finally get myself and my daughter to our vehicle. We were accosted by a surly woman, short, brown hair, glasses, and a styling silver Sam's Club windbreaker.I assume by her appearance and demeanor, she is Head of Security. She said that is a "Privilege for Business Accounts". I was super passive, as she had scared my 2 year old to tears with her rude and inconsiderate temperament. We have been a Corporate Customer for many years and I have picked up volunteer orders for years. I have never seen this security guard. She took her power and authority to the extreme on the wrong person. Whoever the guys buying light-bulbs who could not back up their Sprinter must be new here. How do I know an unmarked van is a Business Account? A) Everyone knows Fridays are busy B) Club Pickup is subject to frequent backups that must be handled by the Members.C) Customer Service is key, sorry you guys screwed up and this harassment was unwarranted. This review is for the Sam's Club snack counter- where else can you go and have a huge piece of pizza, 2- 1/4 pound Nathan's hot dogs and a large drink $5.35,I mean come on, lunch for two for less than $6?! I've had worse pizza at local pizza shops here in Asheville that claim to have the best pizza in WNC, and I don't know any where you get a 1/4 lb. hot dog for $1.35. Please note however, you wont be dinning with Asheville's "cool" but who really wants that anyways, at least nobody begs me for my leftovers then hops in their BMW. read more

Tried to order online and thought my tv would be delivered today. When I checked online, it says cancelled by Sam's. Nobody can give me a reason and they did not bother to contact me. Even now, they say they can't fix it and have it delivered right away. I have to go back online and reorder and wait another two weeks and hope it gets delivered. I love shopping at Sam's Club. They have everything you need in large amounts so it's great to be able to stock up on stuff and be good for a month or two before having to go back. The employees have always been friendly and ready to help. However, my 2 star rating is because of the unfortunate experience my mom and I had on Thursday September 29th. She had ordered me some new tires and they said they'd be ready to be picked up later that day. She wasn't told anything about having to make an appointment, she was just told to come in and have the car ready to be serviced. So long story short, we get there, and the team lead for the Battery and Tire center, was very rude and unpleasant. We walked up to the counter and he ignored us so we waited for about 3 minutes until my mom showed him the receipt on her phone. He says, "do you have an appointment?" So she tells him she didn't know we had to have one. He interrupts her and says, "I asked if you had an appointment, not if you had tires waiting here" and it only got worse from there on out. He was very ugly and short with us, he rolled his eyes when I tried to pay with my debit card. Thankfully I was able to get his name, Rex, and that he was the team Lead for the battery and tire center. One thing is for certain, I'll be buying my tires elsewhere next time. Rex was very rude and unprofessional. It's a shame to see that Sam's Club is hiring people who obviously hate their job and take that anger out on club members. read more

In Buncombe County NC it is mandated that customers and employees wear masks. It was shocking to see that half of the customers in the Asheville store were not wearing masks, many who did have masks on were using them as chin guards (including some employees), and Sam's did not enforce it or care. Large families with children and infants taking up whole isles and none of them with masks. The place was crowded and is a covid-19 hotspot in the making. I will be making the trip to Costco in Spartanburg from now on for big-box purchases. Avoid Sam's and Walmart at all costs! read more

We bought some Member's Mark metal shelves recently. One of the shelves was defective. I called the admin desk and received first rate assistance from Robbie. We live about 70 miles away and had to make a quick return before catching a plane several days later out of the Asheville Airport. She and the other staff quickly exchanged the shelf so we were on time for our morning flight. This Sam's Club provided excellent customer service. I just had a horrible experience at the gas pumps. While attempting to pump gas I was harassed by another person. I have two small children and while trying to attend to them, get my cards out of my wallet and talking to my husband on the phone. I was screamed at by someone who had just pulled up behind me. I explained I had two small children in the car and asked if there was something I could help her with and she continued to scream at me. She then drove erratically from behind my car to the front of my car continuing to scream at me, then back around to the back of my car before the attendant asked her to find another pump. While pumping the attendant then came up to me saying he has had two complaints about me (keep in mind all I did was pump my gas) and that I needed to keep it moving. I told him I'm just trying to pump my gas while being harassed. And he had nothing to say, then I called the manager (mike) who gave me a bunch of corporate bs and said he would look into it. Bottom line I was harassed with two children in the car and then treated like I had done something wrong. I was terrified this lady would do something to me or my children and tried my best to remain calm. Sam's need to have better security around so ALL of their members feel save. If you decide to purchase gas from this establishment, please use caution and be aware if something happens and you feel unsafe to just call APD because the employees especially the management won't do anything to assist you. read more

I'm not sure that a Sam's Club warrants an actual review. However, for what it is worth, here you go. Location wise its a real bitch. Its a pain to exit. If you want to get on I-26 east, you have to make a right, drive down .2 of a mile, and make a U turn. Not sure why they ever choose to locate a Sam's in that spot. The parking lot is tight, so it doesn't leave much room to make turns without being on top of someone else. Lastly, I always feel a little dirty afterwards. This isn't due to the cleanliness of the store, but a good percentage of the actual patrons. Been to the county fair? You understand what I'm talking about. But hey...I have to get my toilet paper supply filled, laundry detergent, coffee, etc... read more

As I was lifting a box of 24 bottles of Perrier water into my cart it broke open and several bottles fell on my foot. It hurt like crazy. I found a manager, told him I didn't think anything was broken, but still wanted to file a report. He was professional, but quite unsympathetic. He said several times that "accidents happen". At one point I had to ask him if he was arguing with me. He also pointedly said that Sam's Club may, or may not, pay a doctor if I chose to go to one for my foot. I felt as if I was being treated as somebody who was trying to get something for nothing even though I was the injured party. read more

I ordered four trays online to pick-up for a 90th birthday party for a relative. I never received a text saying the order was ready so I printed the conformation off myself. To my surprise the conformation said the trays had been received, which they had not. The order was marked received because the employee(s) had left for the day. After speaking to management and making it clear we could not pick-up the trays tomorrow and waiting an addition hour, they made the trays. I thought ordering online would be easier. I hate going here because the traffic pattern - getting into and out of the store is so awkward... Other than that, if you've seen one Sam's Club, you've seen them all and you can wait in line each and every time you go there. On the other hand.... The manager Lolita is the worst manager I have ever dealt with. She needs a major attitude adjustment! I went in on a Monday to order tires for my car. I paid for them and set up an appointment to get them out on on a Wednesday. Something was wrong with my card on Wednesday so she wouldn't let the tire center put my tires on even though I had already paid for them to be put on. So I got my money back and I'm taking my business go Walmart like I was originally going to. After dealing with such a rude lady I'm not even going to get my card fixed because I don't want to give them another dime if they allow such inconsiderate rude people to run their store like that. read more

Just left Sam's Club Asheville. This place really needs more staff. First, only four lines open, at 11AM on a Saturday morning - a busy time. Lines at least 6-7 full carts deep. Some lady came over to tell me to pay at Photography. When I got there, she said she does not like to check out that many items...When I tried to leave the story, the line to get out was back to the hot pizza area. The lady checking receipts at the exit was by herself. I commented to her that while it was not her fault, they really needed more staff. Her response, tell me something I don't already know. For the future, I'll bring my bulk items from Costco at home. It is worth the inconvenience. I hate rewarding bad service with my dollars. read more

If I didn't absolutely have to go to this store (due to the fact that I own two business and need products from here for them) I would not ever go back. I have been shopping here for 8 years and some days leaving here sets me into a rage that takes hours to settle. There are a few good clerks but the management is pretty bad. They even changed the store manager recently but that hasn't helped the attitudes of the other managers. Just today some wonderfully sassy comments directly from the store manager to me has once again reminded me that if another big box store opened up in town I would leave in a second. When my mom and I were talking on the phone yesterday she said, "call over to SAMs and ask." I told her she should probably call hers, mine never answers the phone. Not only have I tried calling on many occasions, but I have stood there and watched as the management behind the service counter refuses to answer a ringing phone. Or they put the person on hold indefinitely. I mean I get it you work at SAMs and your job is bad, but let's not put everyone into a rage because of your job, go get another one. I will say the man who runs the shopping carts and has for years is awesome. He is always friendly and helpful. read more
