Went to Sams Club today to pick up a pair of shorts , some women with her dingy husband did not like where I was going to park and waited for me to get inside store and started to harass me horribly and called horriable names and threatened me , I called a manager " Kelly" ( I was in the store at this time ) Who was 0 help and told me that it's to bad and they could not have them leave store after that was happening to me ! Really Sams Club Davenport Elmore Ave ! The store is completely losing good customers to trashy people ! It's there fault , it's only for money ! Ok, since reviewing this last, the QCA was blessed with the opening of its own Costco. So, since then... Costco is better for gas. 18 pumps vs like 6. Parking is hell. Seriously, Costco has a way better parking lot. As far as prices, well some things are cheaper, others are not. Sams did step up and remodel, just before Costco got here. I like their butcher section, where you can get what you want in the quantity you want. And sushi... they have sushi and Costco does not. I still favor Costco for its management process (I'd much rather support Costco than Wal-mart aka Sams ANYTIME)... but I actually am of the mindset to keep BOTH memberships at this time. Both have their own merit, and I like both at this time. That said, I have definitely found items at Costco that are WAAAAY cheaper than Sam's and sometimes those in reverse too. The place is pretty clean. The isles are always stocked. The only problem is the long lines. I understand they can't control when customers are going to surge in, but the last time I was there the lines were all open, and things were just moving very poorly. Occasionally you have to show your card at the door, but its selective. The employees pick and choose who to 'card.' Thankfully they have the scan and go. It saves time but again, only having one person checking receipts at the door doesn't help speed it along. Their food, for being food court style, is actually pretty good in my opinion. I would go in and it seems fine and the people are fairly nice but I could could tell that they want to go home I went and did my shopping and couldn't find a lamp without customer service so then I go to checkout and there was 4 people working the registers and the lines weren't moving so I go to self checkout, scan my items and all the registers don't accept cash and you have to pay with credit cards or wait in line for cash, so then I go to get a icee and the café is closed but there is someone inside just walking around in there sit for 15minutes to see if they will open it and while I'm there 10 people come looking and are turned down so I leave read more

They have the worst customer experience I've ever experienced. We had a membership for the last 18 months and finally gave up. Here are some examples: When asking for water cups at the deli for our kids. "Corporate says we can't give out water cups anymore." When asking for our items to be boxed. "They are boxes down there(50 feet away) and you can do it yourself." I got yelled at by a sample guy for grabbing a sample from the side rather than the front. Ironically there was a Sam's Club employee standing in front of the booth loudly complaining about management. Over this past 18 months we have on occasion asked to speak to the manager. We've always waited for 20 minutes or so and then left. Here's our solution. We will drive 60 miles to Iowa City and go to Costco where the customer is valued. read more

Tire Shop is SUPERB! Made an appointment and arrived early to watch these two juggle a constant stream of demanding customers and still keep the sales questions answered.... was a heck of a feat and the did well! I had an issue with another Sam's and these guys went above and beyond to correct the wrong! They apologized for the IL Sam's and mounted the tires very quickly! They were great and definitely deserve a raise and some dedicated counter help! read more

Sam's in Davenport Iowa has the worst costumer service!! The store is also very dirty and they are definitely not following the COVID guidelines that is listed on there website. Not cleaning carts and not cleaning check outs in between customers and social distancing not being followed . All front line management are absolutely terrible just standing around and definitely not making sure check out lanes are running smoothly. Cashiers all seem to be not trained in there jobs properly. This place has gone so far downhill I can't even believe the level of poor customer service that the tire center provides. First we are told we don't need an appointment to come in for our tire which had to be ordered. When we show up they say you don't need an appointment but you'll have to wait behind all the appointments and we're triple booked. I do so but also have to order a tire pressure sensor. To ensure that I get in and out I make an appointment for well after being part is to arrive. Someone is to call me when it gets here. They don't. I call them. Yes it's here. OK I will be in tomorrow at my appointed time OK? Yes. Arrive at the appointed time and I'm told I have no appointment as it was never written down but the appointments are triple booked for the 6 PM hour for which I'm 30 minutes early for my appointment. So they might get me in by seven but they're not really sure and they close at seven. After speaking with the manager who I spoke with the last time we agreed to reschedule once again and let me leave with a bad tire sensor for my trip out of town this weekend and make yet another appointment. She promises a gift card upon my return. Woo hoo I'm so excited. read more

Bought 2 sets of tires from these jokers, but could never get in for a rotation or repair of a leaking tire, unless I wanted to wait 5 days. Went to Costco and they checked the tire, rotated them and no charge. Know where my next set of tires will come from! Won't be Sam's! read more

My husband and I bought a $40 membership here when we first moved to the area and we won't be doing that again. We have previously been members of Costco but the closest one is almost 3 hours away. Sam's club looks like it would have the same benefits as Costco but it just doesn't. You have to pay for a higher priced membership if you want them to automatically load their coupons onto your card and they don't take outside coupons. Most of the time I can find what I need at a better price elsewhere (including Walmart). When we first purchased the membership I thought we'd at least benefit from cheaper gas but I've found cheaper gas elsewhere too (also including Walmart). If you're going to charge a membership fee you t should at least beat prices at the other store you own...geez. I will say we mostly shop for groceries so if you're buying the membership to get deals on bigger ticket items then I have no opinion. Also, my husband had super crappy customer service here and when he tweeted about it they immediately contacted him and said they terminated the offensive employee so they do seem to care about their customer service. read more

I put in an order online for an item. It was suppose to be shipped and delivered a week ago. I did an online chat with them. 40 min to wait. I waited approx 43 minutes and had to hang up. I chatted the next day. 25 minutes to wait. They finally came on at 28 min. I gave them my order number and item number. She wasn't sure why it had not been shipped. She had me hang on while she checked with the "higher up's". That took another 8 min. She was very nice however all she could tell me is that she sent them a message and that they should respond to me in 72 hours. Really??? We have been a Sam's club business member for many many years. Have thought about trying out Costco but decided for the time being to stick with Sam's. We also had an incident where they deducted twice for the same transaction from our checking account. Took me 5 months to get my money back. Meanwhile they would decline my check going forward. I would have to talk to a manager to override it as I had all my paperwork to show that they took it from us twice. Sam's would not help me and told me I had to work directly with their check cashing company. The company would not accept phone calls and we had to write back and forth and submit unbelievable paperwork to them to prove to them that they made the mistake. May become a Costco business shopper now. Hopefully I won't have these problems with them??!! read more

Great place to shop if you're going into the store, but horrible place to do pick up orders with. I've been a member for two years and never experienced any problems other than renewing my membership automatically. Doing a pick up order for the first time was a complete nightmare starting with not being able to pick a payment method or time/day of pick up. When I did finally find out my pick up details as to when to get it after being on hold for six minutes before actually being able to talk to someone, I went to pick it up. When I got home to unpack everything, I realized they didn't give me all of my order. I called and they did have the rest of my order there and said I would need to go back to pick it up. When I went to pick up my order they said no order was placed under my name. After going back and forth I asked to speak with a manager and all of a sudden they knew exactly where the rest of my order was. I waited to speak with a manager for five minutes, but no one came so I left. Very unhappy with their pick up service and would definitely not recommend it to others. Save your time by just shopping there if considering doing a pick up order. read more
