Absolutely the WORST wholesale club. Horrible selection and inventory. Case in point. Thanksgiving turkeys were 99 cents. Same turkeys 97 cents at Walmart. NO turkeys for Christmas at all. The food section is awful. NO variety. Vitamin section poor. Even their gas prices aren't great. It was cheaper down the road. Terrible location. Difficult to get in an out. I SO miss Costco. Don't waste your $ on this place. Sams club is a loser. read more

I've been a club member for years. Today I bought a rotisserie chicken. The center of it was hollow which was weird but I thought maybe it's just how they baked it and it was differently shaped than the others. It didn't smell weird and it tasted fine (I only had a very small bite). So I continued shredding the chicken off of it when I came across a cooked maggot I called corporate and all they could do was refund my purchase of $5 and offer me a $10 gift card. And that was after arguing with them. So I called the store directly and hoped for a different route with no luck. Will not be shopping here again. read more

So today I was told they did not have the four berry Sunday.. there was clearly an empty bag of berries behind the woman.. realistically they had the berries however, their job is too hard for them to open a damn bag of berries.. I shopped there on three occasions and on the first day found the staff was unfriendly. Icy politeness, or angry, worried faces. Always wanting to give the benefit of doubt I returned two additional times.The only customers I saw made to feel welcome are people that LOOK like the staff! They were treated to warm friendliness. It was so overt. Absolutely stunning. The products are good, the store looks clean. But that is small consolation for the maltreatment. It's a no go for me. I would order online, but there's so many other friendly stores to shop from, I figure I don't want to give them my business. Customers are aware. read more

If I could give this store personnel a 0 I would. I shop at Sam's for value and selection, but I have not come across one associate in this store who is not rude and abrupt. With the exception of the greeters and the people Checking receipts. I have brought my concerns to management, it discovered why the staff are so rude. There are so many great things about this Sams Club I do not have prescription coverage but with the Sams plus membership I am able to purchase prescriptions at a fraction of the cost in CVS and other pharmacies. For example ear drops that were $78 in CVS were only $12 with my Sams Plus membership. The store is clean and the bulk items reasonably priced. The big plus is their pizza. It's great. We had guests over and ordered a large pie and sodas and it came out to under $20 for 5 people. This was the deluxe pizza with all the toppings. Let's not forget all the free sample taste tents. Excellent sheet and large round cakes for any occasion from their bakery. A wide variety of cakes that in a bakery would run from $50 and up priced reasonably at Sams ranging from $16 to $24. A real bargain and top quality. I buy all my special occasion cakes at Sams Club read more

Depending on your needs shopping at Sam's Club is a savings and pretty much on stop shopping. They have everything needed and the fruit and vegetables are always fresh. Great steaks and poultry as well. I use the app and I skip the lines after I'm done shopping. Scan the items and then pay with the credit card saved in the app. Saves a lot of time and allows me to run in and out quickly when needed. They even have clothes that are always a very good price. I have the plus membership and have never had to actually pay for the membership after the first year. I earn enough that I accumulate credits that can be taken as cash, used towards any purchase and/or pay the membership fee. My family uses Sams all the time. read more

Called store 3 times over the past 60 days to ask about the stock of products that they have carried for years but have been out of stock. Each call I have dealt with rude people today I was on hold for 15 minutes so I hung up and called back. When I called back and complained I was told that I shouldn't be mad since they didn't put me on hold wait, what? No I am sorry, no "I didn't answer that call but let me help you now". Maybe if this super store chain hired more personnel their employees won't be so stressed. Going to let my membership wind down, I don't go to Walmart and now I won't come here. read more

While in the Scranton area we needed to get a few items in Sams Club and figured we'd get all of our shopping out of the way. I typically despise going to Sam's Club near our house because seemingly no matter what day \ time of the week I go they have like 2 registers open which means I'll spend an hour standing in line to purchase the 2 or 3 items that I have in my hand. The concept of the express lane does not exist at my Sam's club. Unlike most Sam's club shoppers we don't go here to buy the 49 pack of paper towels or the gallon jug of mayonnaise, we typically go to get a few items that we can only get at Sam's. The Sam's in Scranton (Dickson City) goes against everything I have ever experienced in a Sam's club. It was easy to find parking and although the parking lot seemed busy there didn't seem to be a crazy amount of people inside. Everything was laid out well even though it seemed that some of the cooler area was under contstruction. We found everything we were looking for and proceeded to the check-out area where I was expecting the typical cluster F. To my surprise this Sam's had four self check \ express registers and just about every cash register was open which made the check out process a breeze. Every other Sam's club should strive to be just like this one. I'm not sure if all Sam's Club managers go to the same "How to manage a Sam's club" course, but the others (especially in my area) need to take note and step up their game! read more

Last month I bought 4 brand new tires from Sam's Club Tire. Unfortunately one of the tires was bad and it blew on the highway. I brought the tire back to where I bought it hoping to get an exchange with my now dead tire. That's where I met Brian and Joshua. They were more than helpful with the situation and exchanged my tire, free of charge. I would highly recommend going there with any tire needs for they are insanely helpful. read more

I was going to sign a lease on a new restaurant. So I went there and spent about $500 on cleaning supplies. The restaurant deal did not go through. When I bought the stuff I asked the woman at the checkout if it was returnable due to Covid. She said yes it was all returnable. When I went to return it some old lady at customer service with short hair told me some of it was not returnable like the 4 gallons of soap. When I asked why she said consumable products are not returnable. So I said are you going to drink this bottle of soap? She said no I said that it's not edible is it? She gave me a hard time and I had to ask for a manager who returned everything without a problem it was ridiculous they need to train their personnel better and have better attitudes to the customers!!! read more

Sam's Club is like any other store...you go there for a particular reason...generally good prices on certain items. The employees are part of the Walmart 'family'...which means that they are underpaid and over worked and being screwed over when it comes to getting enough hours for a full time check...among other things. So...why anyone would expect the employees at Walmart or Sam's Club to be as happy as Christmas Elves is really quite beyond me. Just show your ID, get your items and get the heck out...and if some overworked, underpaid and unhappy employee doesn't smile or jump high enough when you ask your question...get over yourself. read more

The Sam's club in Scranton PA has been on a steady decline as far as customer service is concerned.the employees all seem so bothered by having to actually help customers with questions . The store is also very dirty , especially the entryway and men's bathroom. The woman at self checkout in the evening has no finesse in dealing with members the sample kiosk machines are always empty. Other than an occasional sale item here and there the place is awful . It's a place that I dread going to . I plan on joining BJ's in Bartonsville when my membership at Sam's is up read more

I was told by their meat department to wait until 2 days before I ordered my meat tray for the holiday. On Friday I ordered my tray for pickup on Sunday for our Christmas Eve party. The site took my money and my order. On Saturday at 7:30 AM I received a call telling me I would not be getting the meat tray because they were out of meat and that their meat department should not have told me to wait until 2 days ahead. The fruit platter which featured strawberries was out of strawberries and they would be substituting apples. I will not be compensated for the difference in cost on the fruit tray and I will have to wait for my money spent on the meat tray until corporate returns it to my bank account so I have no money for a meat tray elsewhere. read more

Decent Club but a little tad bit disorganized like the Allentown Location, with a little tougher staff. Of course I will respect them, and what they do however I hope to see better organization in the future, better customer service and putting members first. However, I doubt it from recent experiences at the Easton Location, especially when it feels more like a Walmart than an actual Wholesale Store. read more

My review relates specifically to one issue about the bakery department. There are several types of bread and rolls baked on the premises that are not labeled with the bake date or a sell by date. Most of the baked goods such as pies and various types of rolls have the date that they were baked on them, but other items like the ciabatta rolls don't. When I asked someone in the bakery department why they weren't dated, he explained that they throw out all of those rolls that didn't sell the day before, and everything in the bin was baked fresh that day. When I pointed out that some seemed to be a lot harder than others that were supposedly baked on the same day, he asked if I was calling him a liar. I responded that I didn't know him well enough to answer that question. I said rather than having to take your word for it, why aren't these items labeled with the date they were baked just as most of the other items are. He responded that he was told not to label them and he had no reason to lie to me because he didn't have anything to loose and didn't care if I bought them or not. In Costco stores, their "torta" rolls are the equivalent of Sam's "ciabatta" rolls and Costco always has the date they were baked on the package. In order to demonstrate to the customer that he is getting the freshest product, these baked goods should also be labeled. Since most of the items in the bakery department are labeled, it makes you wonder why only these few items are not. It seems like it wouldn't be that difficult for them to do, and the customer could be sure of the freshness of the baked goods he was purchasing. read more
