Spacious warehouse offering quality brands at wholsale prices. The self checkout process is the best and they have most brands I'd buy at the regular grocery store. I've been a Costco member for years. Now that we have a Sam's Club that is significantly closer than the nearest Costco, we felt inclined to give it a chance. I have to say...I am pleased with our decision. Here's why...the selection of the products we need and the ease of use of their mobile shopping app. I'm not a big fan of letting someone else do my shopping. I like that their app has you connect to their WiFi, and as you put something in your cart, you scan it with your phone and it keeps a running total. When you're finished shopping, simply checkout on the app, skip the checkout line and head to the door. This is the big win Sam's has over Costco. I like to do my shopping midweek between 10:30-11:30 when there are maybe 20 other customers in the store. The employees are helpful and friendly. The store is very clean. read more

Ordered tires from Sam's club last week, scheduled an appt today for install. Got there ten minutes before the appt 2:50pm, gave them the keys and proceeded to shop around the store. At 3:30 pm I receive a call from them saying they cannot install the tires because I have aftermarket wheels, (mind you they installed tires on my Lexus the month before which also had aftermarket wheels.). We went over to talk with the tire and battery employee and he said the last time they worked on aftermarket wheels they scratched them up and were not allowed to work on them anymore. He then blamed it on outdated machinery. Which apparently took 40 minutes to come to that realization. They never even pulled my truck into a bay, almost as if they just didn't want to work. The manager (Nikkie) comes over to discuss options with a zero problem solving mindset. She gets another manager involved and finally I have to wait on the only worker in member services to process my refund. I ask her how they can compensate for the wasted time and their inability to provide the service I paid for and she mentions a status card she can give us but also provides excuses and says it will take a long time to get that by the time they unlock the gift cards and load it ( all while she just stands and watches the member service worker process the refund). There was no sense of urgency, no kindness or courtesy to us the customers. It was really sad to see that kind of behavior in a management position which directly reflects the lazy culture that the tire employees displayed. I am a long time plus member of Sam's and I have never before seen such poor customer service at any Sam's Club. read more

I like Sam's for getting a better deal than other stores when buying dairy, meats, vegetables, seasonings & spices, batteries, baby shower diaper gifts (no more babies for me), gift cards , inexpensive workout clothes, books, ink cartridges, although they just discontinued one for my laser printer, the Canon 126, heck, just about any & everything! The bakery items are fresh and a good deal, where else can you get two loaves of bread for like $4?! They have cakes, pies, cookies, etc. oh and their rotisserie chicken is the best! They actually sell you a whole chicken for under $5, not a Cornish hen for $8 like at Publix! It's seasoned well but they only have 1 flavor. They have a convenient scan and go app which is good to get in & out if you don't have a basketful of groceries. Just remember to bring your bags as they don't have any. I've been disappointed though to not see Former FLOTUS, Michelle Obama's book, Becoming, in the store at all. Like did the store just decide not to carry it? And if so, why? read more

Auto center out the wrong tires on my truck. I took vacation time to get the tires on. Had to come back after they found the correct tires. The manager walks off and now the mechanic that was working on my truck is working the desk. No one is working on my truck. read more

I love sams club but today, is the day that I am so furious with them. I go atleast every weekend, 2-3 times a month, spending up to $300 a visit. I was checking out, and on the screen it says, RENEW MEMBERSHIP. The cash register lady told me if I answer the two questions on the screen, "I would get $30 back. It's not a big deal, it won't hurt to answer." As I looked at the questions, it was my ssn and annual. I was thinking it's odd but I'm at Sam's so they wouldn't be scamming me. Stupid me, I was thinking this had to probably do with my new membership. I proceeded but when I was ready to pay, guess what?!? I was F***ing approved for a credit card I did not WANT!!! Can you imagine if I was trying to apply for a house and this one employee thinks this is ok to scam me to signing up?!!! I went to the manager, she couldn't do anything but call the credit card company to cancel. That still doesn't fix the fact that my credit score is now affected by YOUR CARELESS EMPLOYEE. I would do everything in my power to avoid this location if you can. There's one over in Hiram that is head and shoulders above this one. Something's off here. Local management and corporate are failing bigtime. I know complaints have been made to both. Instead of cutting off pickup orders to match their available personnel, they continue to take on a full load like they're fully-staffed. They aren't. They're about half-staffed. Or the number of people they have working... have the output of about half the staff. You decide. So yeah, you make a pickup order, expecting to be notified it's ready for pickup at the START of your 1hr window, like every other pickup game in this town... when the reality at this store is that it won't be ready until 30 minutes to an hour or so AFTER your window started. None of the curbside pickup folks offer any apologies whatsoever for your inconvenience, and you can't get a manager on the phone to talk intelligently about it, apparently. I was in a time crunch for my pickup and expected this location to be like my usual one but pickups at the Douglasville club really are as terrible as several other reviewers are stating. I mean... eventually... an hour and 45 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready, as I was getting ready to pull out of the parking lot, I did get the notification, so I stuck around. They were right out and the order was correct... so at least that part was good. Mr Conversation had nothing to say about why it was taking so long, to me nor the other driver next to me who was asking about her order. WHY they continue to accept a full load of orders for a given time window, knowing they are only competent enough to handle half that load... I will never understand. This is very poor management in action. Use this club only if you are extremely, exceedingly patient. I'm not, so I will go to the one where they do what they're supposed to be doing, when they're supposed to be doing it. That's Hiram, around here. read more

Not sure if I will be renewing my membership at this point. We rarely use it but the last two visits make me wonder if it's worth it. Walk into the location and volume on TVs and stereo equipment is ridiculously loud. I went to the pharmacy first and the music echoes so loud it's hard to hear the lady behind the plastic shield. Pharmacy people were super friendly and helpful. The store is another story. I was. Using the self checkout app. One item rang up $2 higher than the sign price. I asked an employee about it and his response was "what do you want me to do about it " I told him he was an employee and maybe he could let a manager know. Went to customer service desk and I and I am certain she just "yes'd" me Fast forward to this week. Sign not changed and the is still not changed. Definitely not renewing. This is a review about Sam Club Travel. BEWARE! I used them to plan a trip to NYC for the 4th July 2022. My hotel was $1037.00. My flight was canceled by the airline so I called the hotel and canceled the reservation and received a conformation number. Granted I forgot to call Sam club travel. But when I did call, I was told I could receive a voucher ( I would have be satisfied with that) I even send them the email of the reservation conformation cancelation. This Sam's is a nice location. The employees are very friendly here which gives this location an additional star from me. I think they could have a better selection of items and I'd really love it if they had a gas station. Other than that it is much like the other Sam's spots in Metro Atlanta. Again, I gave them an extra Star because the employees will go out of their way to assist you with anything that you need. But the McDonough and Alpharetta locations are my favorites around. read more

I went to Sam's Club to grab 3 items. I live about 13 miles away. I called them the day before to learn if the item I needed was in stock. Why can't the Website tell us that? The phone rang endlessly with no answer. I ended up live chatting with a person who WAS able to verify the item I needed was in stock. So I went today and the store was completely unable to check people out in a timely manner. I was in a self-checkout line for at least 15 minutes and the line did not move at all. I finally left my cart because I can buy things elsewhere. It wasted my time and GAS MONEY! This does not happen at COSTCO! Guess where I will go next???!!! I have both memberships. My wife had her vehicle broken into and he purse stolen. We called the service desk of the Sam's club we use which is located on concourse parkway. We wanted to inform them the card was stolen and wanted it canceled so our bank account linked to it couldn't be used. They told us thst we had to come there in person. Then hung up on us. We tried calling many times and they answered and immediately hung up. We got feed up and called another Sam's club Hiram location who actually helped us. read more

I'm currently at the tire center here, where I've been for over three hours now. Their customer service has been okay but they only have 1 guy out actually working on the tires. I feel that they are understaffed and could be much more efficient. Also, they only have 2 wooden benches to sit on, they are uncomfortable and crowded due to the amount of people that they have had waiting for the past several hours. read more

I'm just annoyed that today I walked into Sam's behind a woman I didn't know and she grabbed a cart and I proceeded to grab one right after her and the greeter said to her "you have a nice day" didn't ask for her membership card or anything and as I go to walk into the main area of the store he said to me with an attitude "I need to see your membership card" now that's fine but why didn't he ask the woman in front of me? Don't demand to see proof of membership if you're not going to be consistent. The employees in this store are always rude and it makes me want to travel the extra 45 minutes to the next town to shop at Sam's. read more

I really like Sams Club. I can find pretty much anything I need, just like Walmart but everything is bigger. You have to be mindful of prices, not everything is a good deal but I especially like the cafe inside. My family will usually stop for a hotdog or slice of pizza. This particular store is laid out well, everything is easy to find but (like Walmart) they usually have only two cashiers available at a time which is a total drag when, due to the nature of the store (bulk), the average person has about 300 items. read more

very limited options. their products are cheaper since you buy it in bulk, however, i found out that this may not be the smartest thing for some families like mine - a small family, since we end up throwing the food away. however, if you have a big family and like to stock up, then this is the place for you. i'm not too thrilled about their customer service though. a few months ago, when we first bought our membership, the very first transaction I had with the cashier was awful. not only did she talked to other employees while we stood there and wait for her to finish her conversation, but she also told us to go get our own boxes when we asked for some, AND she made us load our own merchandise - i cringed when i had to hand this company $200 that day for groceries. the next few visits, i bought no more than 5 items .... and the last visit that i was here was last week, and i was quite turned off -- there was this one guy who was walking around as he handed out coupons yelling out loud that anyone who received a coupon will get something for free as sam's token of appreciation towards their customers. after getting the people excited, he then gets on the P.A. system and announced to everyone, with our without coupon, to meet up at this section of the store and the free item is first come first serve. i figured, -oh okay, sure.- then i get there and shortly after, there was a line of rushing people there ... only for us to find out that the whole damn thing was an infomercial and if you stand around for like 20 minutes listening to this b.s., you get a *drum roll please* an embarrassing vegetable peeler. he makes you listen to his speech before he gives it to you. wth? i felt like we were treated like dogs ... " sit doggie, good doggie, now do a trick doggie, good doggie, now here's an itty bitty biscuit" i didnt stick around for that junk, and when i was done picking up my less than 5 items, i was quickly greeted by the slow and long wait on the line. well, i have vowed to only go to this place when it is absolutely necessary, but really guys, if a costco opens up around here, this place is toast. read more

Okay, so let's just say I go to this particular SAMs every Saturday morning (being a business owner), and some days between. I may spend $500-$800+ in groceries every visit. Which is a lot of groceries! So every time I continue out to my car, I can see a lot attendant or I may see one on the lot as I pull the cart I my car, however, they will walk past me, disappear, or just plain stare at me while loading my groceries. I even remember being pregnant and not getting any assistance. It's really just sad! Like I know you see me, Hey! Do I need to beg for help?! The funniest thing was this morning, even the mangers saw me while I was loading my groceries, but just turned back around and went inside. Smh. If it wasn't so close to my home, I would never go here again. read more

It is a decent location and like the other reviewer stated. A gas station would be nice and more healthier food choices would be nice as well. Aside from the vegetables and salad items. I'm talking about "no salt" options, Vegan and Vegetarian options. At least offer Tofu and Tempeh as a protein. It's a great store with good shopping carts, parking and management. This store is horrible when it comes to customer service. It lacks a sense of urgency when it comes to pleasing the customer and when trying to get you on your way. Whenever you ask for the manager and they page for one no matter how many times is called for one over the intercom a manager takes forever to show up. They have terrible communication between the departments and employees specially at the tire and battery department. I only go here because there is no much competition close enough otherwise I would get a membership in another warehouse. read more

It's difficult to understand why the door greeters are not empowered to make common sense observations. I contacted the General Manager Antron W. in reference to my experience with a door greeter because I literally had my keys around my neck and my phone in hand attempting to walk next door to Walmart and leave out the entrance door. The greeter made a big deal that i could not leave out the exit door even though there were people with returns entering the exit doors without being redirected. It is the clubs right to allow people to set up tables near the exits and solicit for donations, it should also be my right to not have to deal with that. The GM seemed annoyed that I was calling him and sat on the phone fairly silent. His resolution was not one of understanding or empathy, but that I didn't have to interact with the solicitors (2 DIFFERENT TABLES SET UP) and I could just keep walking. I thanked him for his time and hung up. His lack of understanding is a clear indication of the basic competency level of his people. Won't visit this location anymore. read more

I go to this location regularly and for the most part don't have any issues. The cashiers are nice, but like a previous review stated the wait times to check out and have tires installed can be lengthy. I like the prices and if I go early ( i have a plus membership ) i usually do not need to wait in a line to check out. Usually have what I need and sometimes get surprised by a new item they are stocking.There is no Costco in Douglasville, so they are the only game in town. I appreciate that they consider Douglasville worthy of putting one of their stores. read more

On October 6, 2016 I called this Sams Club in Douglasville 5 times to speak with some one in the Deli Dept. I work for a non-profit State of Georgia Organization.
