I like Sam's Club for the convenience and they do have some cool items that Costco doesn't carry, but a lot of it is very similar. This store is rarely busy which is also nice. The packaged items are great and decently priced. Clothing is hit or miss. The pre-made meals are awful and have no flavor, we honestly haven't liked a single one we've tried. The Member's Mark garlic butter steak bites gave my husband and I horrendous food poisoning recently - the worst I've ever had. I will say, the pizza in their food court is pretty tasty and the salted pretzel is great! (the cheese for it is not). I probably won't renew my membership as I don't go enough and haven't found anything to really make it worth it unfortunately. read more

Purchased an umbrella, they told me to go to the back of the store by the docs I waited for 10 mins no one opened a door so I went back to the front and they told me to back there again said they would radio someone again. They quickly diagnosed it on a Sunday morning and were able to get me a replacement tire and out the door inside of 20 minutes. Bigger is not always better. How's that for an opener, eh? After you pay $40 bucks for an annual membership, they set you loose in there store in the mindset that "If you buy in bulk, you'll save more." This is true on some things, but not everything. Things a typical family would save $$$ on if you buy in bulk: - paper goods - cleaning supplies - individually packed drinks - soda, water, etc. - meat, but you better have a couple freezers at home Milk is about a buck cheaper per gallon here, but anything else and you're wasting your time. Electronics are more expensive, bakery is sub-par, and if you do buy a Volkswagen sized barrel of cheese puffs, chances are you're going to get sick of em by the second month they've been parked in your pantry. One thing I really get pissed about is they constantly try to upsell you on the Plus/Advantage/Bullsh!t Membership - EVERY TIME YOU CHECK OUT. They say that you can use it to book travel or get cheaper insurance. But, the last people I'm gonna trust to book me a flight or save me money on car insurance is the Blue Vest Mafia. read more

This SAMs is right next door to my apartment complex so it's convenient. Typically I wouldn't really write a review for this store because given it's a bulk warehouse, one expects to NOT receive outstanding service. I must confess that there must be something going on at SAMs with respect to either new management or a new customer centered philosophy. The greeters I encounter when I shop here typically don't pay attention or check that you have a membership card. This day was different - this man actually looked me in the eye, engaged me in conversation and then thanked me for stopping in. Did you get that? He thanked me for stopping in!! Hmmmm. I thought "ok, that was weird and probably a fluke." Boy, was I mistaken...and pleasantly so. I just went in for eggs and milk but each associate I ran into on the way to each product thanked me for stopping in. It was a little strange at first... So, if it is a new management/customer service policy to thank customers for visiting - please DO NOT stop. It is so nice for a company to recognize that as a consumer, I have a choice of where to shop and it will serve SAMs well to build that kind of loyalty among its' customers. read more

I have only had one bad experience here but it didn't have much to do with Sam's Club itself but the Direct TV guy in there trying to sell us on a plan. He entices you with the fact that you will get a $200 gift card to use at sams club or walmart - he got us to listen. Then he tells us it's a two year binding contract where the first year is $52/month, the second year is $82/month, then you can cancel or go for the third year at $92/month. He said he was getting us a real deal and "those prices are just silly." I tried not to laugh. He also told us never to get a bundle because they are a waste of money....then what would be the point of a bundle...??! Get home, grab the mail. There's a flier for Direct TV for 24.99 a month for one year. Then I find out if you're an AAA member, it's $14.99 a month for the first year. Salesmen...pretty funny. Don't fall for it. He gets you thinking it's a real good deal. read more

The women at the Sam's Food Court was so unfriendly and unprofessional, I didn't catch her name but she was a taller African American. There were 3 people in line and she didn't acknowledge any of us for 5 minutes then when it came to be my turn I handed her my coupon for a free sundae (bc I got my Sam's membership today) and with her bad attitude she responded she "didn't have the supplies to make the sundae" and to come back another day and there was nothing she could offer me at the time of. I usually have no issues going there, most of the people are friendly and very helpful. I went to figure out an issue with my membership yesterday and the the lady at the desk was the most rude, dismissive, and she seemed like she didn't know how to do her job. She was a shorter, older lady with glasses, I think her name tag said Christy or Chris, but absolutely 0 customer service skills. read more

The staff is rude. We had an issue with our membership and had to go to the front to resolve it. They talked to us like we were basically dumb criminals even though we were trying to work with them to resolve it. The lady who was halfway assisting the man at the register who was trying to resolve our issue kept looking at her cellphone and texting then walked off with our membership card and we never saw it again. She also failed to make eye contact when she was speaking to us. She's only look at the counter or computer screen. The man who was assisting us was trying to be friendly but he didn't quite understand the issue and just kept trying to get us to purchase a new membership which wasn't the issue. All in all the customer service desk needs a new lesson in customer service. read more

The Sam's Club Optical Dept is only open for previous order pick-up, and contact lens purchases. Target's Optical is open by appointment to help out people with broken glasses, or who even need a new prescription or eye exam. I love Sam's Club for shopping but am disappointed that the Optical Center is not more accommodating during these trying times. read more

Don't go here if you need medications for a major surgery!!! I just had a double knee replacement a couple days ago. The Ortho doc sent me home with a prescription for Percocet. The pharmacy only gave me 2/3 of the prescription due to some rule that only Sams club and Walmart adhere to. Now I dont have enough meds to make it through the weekend! So in October a client of mine insisted that I need to get tires at Sams club using his card. I have always bought tires from discount tire because of their amazing customer service, but decided to give Sams a try because of his recommendation. It turned out that my client became infatuated with me and the relationship had to be dissolved for my safety. 6 months later I get a flat tire, which should be covered under their 3 year warranty. They tell me that they can't work on my car without a membership card despite the fact I have the receipt and warranty in hand. I don't even shop at this store because of their known mistreatment of employees and harm to the environment, so I'm not going to buy a membership for a tire repair. I called discount tire and they are now repairing my tire for FREE! Despite the fact that I didn't buy the tires here!!!! Discount tires, I will never stray again. Don't support Sams club, cheap is not always good! Wouldn't be able to live with myself if l shopped here knowing I get discounts at the expense of my values as a human being. read more

Allison and her staff have to be the most honest, sincere, hard-working, knowledgeable and congenial people in any optometry store I've ever been in. What happened? Sam's used to have reasonable service (for a warehouse club) and low prices. Granted you had to buy in bulk, although at least you were getting a deal. Unfortunately all of this seems to be gone. Lines are slow-moving, employees are hard to find, and prices are no better than you find at most other retailers, much less warehouse clubs. read more

Stopped in here yesterday to pick up some things while in Fort Collins. I used to prefer this store versus the Loveland one but now I have to say the opposite is the case. They do not have as big of a selection for some reason in here which is strange. Could not find a couple items that the Loveland store always carries. Also did not see hardly any employees throughout the store to offer assistance in any department. All in all a little disappointed on this visit here on this day.
