    Scan & Go feature

This review is only about the scan and go feature of Sam's. Love love loveeeeeee the SCAN & GO. Love the concept of being able to scan and go. This makes it so effortless. You literally are scanning your items and when you're done you hit the checkout button select your method of payment and you were out the door amazing. Would love it if other retailers would adopt this feature. Way to go Sams!!!

    Undercooked rotisserie chicken

We've been members for a minute now and I've seen a great decline in service here. When I'm in the store, I like and appreciate the scan n' go so that I don't have to deal with the outrageously long lines at times. I also don't bother asking for help because staff are not around to help. I'd rather walk the entire store looking for what I need. While I'm not a huge fan of this place (due to service), I do appreciate the curbside service more. The wait times are not as bad as they once were and the staff is more accommodating. However, I purchased two rotisserie chickens and they were undercooked. I returned them and was told by management that, there is nothing wrong with the chicken as the meat is cooked. If you enlarge the picture, you will see how pink the meat really is. She said some people like red/pink chicken bones, I'm not one. Of course I will never buy rotisserie chicken here again. Staff is lazy and this is a reflection of that.

Stuffed Salmon filets, 375 degrees, brush with melted butter, bake 20 minutes.

Oh Sammy I'm back and I see a few changes. I recently was offered a year pass to Sam's club for 1/2 the regular yearly cost. I thought okay let me see what Sam's has to offer. A digital card now, oh wow, yeah I like it. Much is the same... An area that caught my eye was the prepared food section, that's new for me as they only had roti Chickens and baked goods before. On this trip picked up a corned beef, an easter book for babychild, half a years worth of laundry detergent for on 21$ (what?!)a giant container of M&Ms for the Pirate and as suggested by another customer, the most amazing pasta&kale salad. I went again with the Pirate and scoped out the stuffed salmon filets (next time I'll just grab my own filet, they were meh at most), picked up that pasta salad again and copious amounts of fruit. My departing hotdog didn't taste the same, maybe because in the past there was relish and onions offered, maybe they don't use Nathan's anymore (shrugs shoulders). Ill be back if there's a need for bull items. You're still looking good Sam, nice hanging out with ya again.

Sam's is definitely my go to. I really appreciate the fact that I'm not charged $6.99 if all I need is a loaf of bread and some milk!

I am a frequent Costco customer and shop there at least twice a week. I have generally had positive…read moreexperiences, but I am very concerned about the food handling practices at the outdoor food court. Recently, I ordered a pizza and a strawberry-banana smoothie. While waiting, I observed an employee preparing food, making smoothies, handling cash transactions, and then returning to food preparation while wearing the same pair of gloves throughout the process. Because I had noticed this behavior on previous visits, I decided to ask about it. I asked whether the gloves were intended to protect customers from germs or protect the employee. The employee responded, "We have a lot of gloves. I just didn't have a chance to change them." That response was concerning. Cash is handled by countless people and can carry dirt, bacteria, and other contaminants. Seeing the same gloves used for food preparation and cash handling defeats the purpose of wearing gloves in the first place. What concerns me most is that this did not appear to be a one-time oversight. I have observed similar practices on multiple visits, which suggests it may be a routine habit rather than an isolated incident. Costco may have food safety policies in place, but policies are only effective when they are consistently followed. Based on what I have repeatedly observed, I am no longer comfortable purchasing food from this location's outdoor food court. I hope management reviews food handling procedures and ensures that proper glove-changing and sanitation practices are consistently followed to protect customers.

During my visit, there was a surprising amount of manpower wasted just directing customers to different lines, instead of actually moving people through checkout. Employees were repeatedly telling shoppers where to go, which line to switch to, or where to stand, yet the lines still moved slowly and felt disorganized. It created more confusion than efficiency. If they turn the front aisle vertical to the cashiers the problems could be eliminated and the workers could be used wiser. Costco is usually a masterclass in logistics, so this was disappointing. With better flow or clearer lane management, the same staff could be helping customers check out faster rather than acting as traffic controllers. Costco is still good value but the checkout experience here takes away from what should be a smooth, high-volume operation.
