I love the staff here.. day before I did a pick up order and my soda was left out of order.. I called next day and sweet associate took my info told me come by pick up call and they will bring it out.. so this morning I went up every pick up spot was full. I pulled up to associate door told them what I was there for and they brought it out and put in my car.. they were very nice.. I even had a voicemail after I called in saying how sorry he was he forgot .. As far as the delivery service, and their produce? Anything that is refrigerated? Some things if not all are frozen. Fruits, Lettuce, green salad, etc.... If frozen, when defrosted, you have wilted, mushy, rotting fruits and veggies. Delivery service is terrible..I've done it about 10 times in the past year. I'd say at least 8 times it was terrible. This last time, they didn't even show up?!?!?! I called several times before closing. Each time,they just let it ring and ring and ring. One time this happened and the customer service agent from overseas couldn't even get through. But this last time, I called the morning after, because the status was pending and customer service overseas could not cancel the order. So this woman finally did answer, and she was so RUDE. I couldn't believe it. But I kept my cool. She said to me, " yeah you can just come pick that up. It's ready. ," I said no thank you. I know it's been sitting in the freezer and I don't want wilted salad. I'd like to just cancel. "Ok so just go online and cancel it yourself!" She said. I started to explain AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME. I visit this Sam's often. I was greeted at the door by a very nice gentleman. 1st told me it was National Gummy Bear Day! Then he saw my husband's Boston attire and said it's also National Babe Ruth Day! I could go on and on about Baseball! I laughed he was helpful actually asked if I needed any help today! A member for over a decade now. I do not know what it is called but the lady at the food vending or pizza counter said, upon my ordering a whole pizza, that whole pizzas are for real members. If you are going to try and say that then please refrain from relying on my appearance and then guessing that I am not a Sam's club member. Cover your attempted bias by asking for my membership card. As for the manager that clearly allows this to go on because in a membership required business management would have trained the staff on what, if anything, a nonmember can purchase and how to check if in question. The excuse the offensive service lady gave when asked by the manger, "Who told you that?", was that someone else told her. Typical blaming someone else for your ignorance and if true a clear indication how miss managed this location has become. One misguided staff member is allowed to incorrectly teach another and another and so on until customers have to fight over the benefits of their membership. If even the food stand food is exclusive to members only. I do not think it is actually, being a member I have not needed to know. I still do not know because the manager did not set anything straight on the spot except that I was allowed to purchase the pizza I asked for. If a Sam's Club staff member can be this abrasive over buying pizza I fear the result of average people enforcing the vaccination status (an intimate and private matter) of other average people. May as well attempt to look at me, guess my sexual preference (also an intimate and private matter), and decide to provide services or not that way. God help us. read more

Been a member for 2 decades. However today, I got treated with disrespect and refused a purchase of about $400 by the manager, Tasha. She interrogated me with questions about my family members address & birthdates that were on the membership also. All because I had a picture of membership card. I've used the card this way for several years because carrying a stack of cards is inconvenient. I understand that policies may change. But the way this manager choose to address it was absolutely insulting to the customers that support the business that pays their salaries. The only plus is the self-check out! I like going to the cutest cashier and I chose me! Poor customer service and lack of traditional samples throughout the store!! Okay so I can live without yummy samples but when I walked in and had forgotten my membership card I waited nearly 15 minutes in line at membership services while several workers milled about pointlessly, having side conversations and just paying little attention to customers. We have been Sam's Club Members for years and have been a plus member now for 5+ years when we started buying tires for our vehicles here. This is strictly for the TIRE AND BATTERY SECTION, customer service has diminished year by year and the attitudes given by employees is becoming increasingly atrocious. First, when you try to call and establish an appointment it sends you to a national call center vs the actual store, so last week when we attempted to make an appointment to have the tires rotated on one of our vehicles my wife was able to make an appointment then received a phone call from the store to cancel it because "their air compressor was down and they were debating on replacing it or if they were going to spend the money to fix it" and could schedule an appointment for two weeks from when they called. So I ended up rotating the tires myself. Then today I brought another one of our vehicles in due to the one tire has something stuck in it causing it to go low. So when I came in today to get the tire fixed, first I stood there talking with another customer to make sure he wasn't in line to be waited on while the employee that was in the area sitting on a stack of tires on his phone oblivious to the fact I had even been standing there for a few mins waiting to be checked in. Then another employee arrived in the area and was actually the one that checked me in for service. I was the. Advised it would be about 2-3 hours since I didn't have an appointment which is completely understandable if they are busy. So I advised I would have to wait due to my wife was away and it was the only vehicle I had. The employees were also ever quick to advise if I didn't feel like waiting I could take it somewhere else. I then advised the. It was a service that's covered under their service contract so why would I pay for something that is covered. They only responded with well it's going to be a wait then. I then killed time and came back about 2:30 hours later to ask where the vehicle was in line and then I received the response I received from William was "We are busy today so it's probably going to be a little bit but if I wanted to leave and come back or I could take it somewhere else if I wanted." so I advised him that I had checked the vehicle in over 2 hours ago and was trying to see where it was in line. Then he responded with "well let me just drop everything I'm doing and go check on it for you" I really don't appreciate the attitude these employees keep putting out there to customers. So as I sat and waited I spoke with a few other customers who had similar experiences and complaints and also expressed over the years the wait times continue to get longer and longer as well as the customer service continues to diminish. While we sat there multiple customers ended up stacking up at the Tire and Battery desk awaiting service but there was no employee in site. One lady had waited for 10-15 minutes before an employee arrived at the desk after another customer knocked on the door to the shop to get service. Then as that employee was providing service to customers another employee had come out from the back asking him the work status on a few vehicles that were in the garage and he replied with "I think that one got done and then when asked about another one he replied I'm not sure if I got that done yet or not, with going back and forth I'm just not sure" this definitely does not instill a good feeling in the customers that happen to be sitting in the waiting area having work done to their vehicle. This is not the first time we have had an issue with this department and it just continues to get worse. We only continued to get tires through Sam's Club due to the price was the best around for the product but the customer service is not worth saving the money. The next time we will be shopping for customer service over the overall cost for sure. This is the 4th set of tires we have bought at this particular Sam's Club and it continues to get harder to obtain service that is listed in the "contract" when you buy tires. There is no reason it should take 4 hours to repair a leaking tire while a customer waits, appointment or not, you can go to any tire repair shop and it would definitely be less than an hour to two max to have a tire patched. read more

I purchased a tub of peanut M&M's. Once I got home and opened them I noticed some were discolored. Then I noticed the MOLDY one. I tried calling the store to inform them but NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE!! It rang for over 5 minutes. I called back and the same thing. I tried to message them but there's no where to do that. I hadn't been to Sam's Club in a couple years since I moved away from the city but I recently moved to Jacksonville to find there was one here, so I was excited to take my small town family to show them how cool a Sam's Club was. Upon walk-in they informed us if we had a card. We told them no she said we had to have one in order to even shop there and for us to leave. She didn't give us any information on how to sign up for a membership she just asked us to leave. Luckily, an older man working saw our confusion and probably sudden anger and offered us to walk around, but we couldn't buy anything. I'm from a small town, all we have is Wal-Matt & McDonalds, and I understand if there's rules that I'm unaware of but she was extremely freaking rude. So, we left. And we won't go back. Imagine our surprise to come back here after being away for 2+ years to see this place has been revamped! I'm not sure if they actually expanded the building or not (I didn't think there was room!) but it certainly appears bigger, better organized, and with more product! And a gas station! YAY! We still shop here weekly, the staff is still nice and helpful, and the prices are good. My favorite time to shop is during the morning business hours because the store is practically empty and there are no lines! I still miss the Costco we used to shop at while we lived out of state, but I'll take this Sam's Club any day! read more

Employees are wonderful- overall good store, however I am giving 2 stars because there isn't a lot of eco friendly sustainable products. If we are going to preserve our earth and it's beauty we need to have more options for the everyday consumer to choose things that are more sustainable. For instance- I 100% would have paid more for toilet paper wrapped in paper/ cardboard vs every single option being covered in plastic. This is just my two cents. Very friendly and clean Sam's Club location. Gets pretty busy on pay weekends so my favorite times to shop are early Saturday morning during Advantage hours or during the week after 6 pm. I use the Scan and Go app and I can be in and out of the store in 15 minutes. read more

Im a truck driver and twice now Ive had a 4am delivery and had to wait until after 415am before anyone from receiving would answer the bell. Today, the worker had a very bad attitude and told me that they clock in at 4am, have to do medical screenings then they start work. I said they should come in early like military and be ready to start work on time and he told me this is a civilian job. The sign on the door reads receiving is from 4am to 11pm and if a truck driver shows up late for an appointment they have to wait until they can be worked in. No integrity here read more

Omg I love Sam's Club! I come in to get a few things and end up coming out with a lot! The prices are very reasonable for purchasing some things in bulk such as paper towels, meats, drinks and such. I do suggest having a freezer bag and recycle bags so you aren't having to lug things separate. The store has always been clean and organized and the food bar up front has some delicious food such as Pizza and hot dogs etc that you can get to go or eat inside. Military families you can get a Sam's club membership discounted so go online to check that out. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh. They make birthday cakes and let me tell you they are good and cheap! Ready made things also for that quick dinner or perhaps company coming over. Sam's Club is the best of you are having a party etc because you can save so much money and get all you need in one spot. I just love Sam's club! They also have a gas station at this location so if you are member there is some perks so remember take advantage and get a military discount membership if you are stationed here it helps. read more

It's a surplus store, so you can buy tons of things in bulk. I feel like Costco has more to offer, but since there isn't one near here this is pretty much exactly what you need when you have a ton of guest to entertain or kids still in diapers. Also the gas is great, cheapest in town. read more

This Sam's Club is pretty good. It's always clean and appears to be well-stocked. There are some items that I miss from other Sam's Club locations, but I guess every region has its preferences. I also enjoy getting my gasoline here. It's always just a little bit cheaper than the other gas stations around town, and the gas pumps are clean and easy to use. I really wish this location had a Vision Section (unless I'm missing that). I'd love to save money on my prescription lenses and contacts here, too! read more

I hate the fact that there is no Costco here because I hate anything affiliated with Walmart. It is nice to have a wholesale store near base because the commissary is packed 24/7. As stated by other reviewers, it is rather small, and you won't find the diversity of a regular sized wholesale store but you get most of the big chain brand names. The place is clean and the employees are nice/helpful. The only bad thing about this Sam's is that the products never seem to change. Usually every wholesale store will introduce a couple of new products for a week or two such as unsalted almonds or a lesser brand name of chips. This place sticks to what they offer and never has anything new. So if you seem some new stuff on the Sam's web site, there is a 99% chance you'll never find it here. read more

I have been coming to this location ever since the late 90's and the service is always great and the store is always clean. The very few times over the years that we had a problem with anything this locations customer service was excellent. Great place to buy in bulk for good prices and every now and again you can get electronics for really low prices as well. Management if you're listening, your staff is rude and lazy. Take a day and go to the store in Wilmington. Watch their interactions with their customer base. Ive had more bad Jacksonville Sam's clubs experiences than I can count. Most recently the checkout girl lied to me to try to get me to upgrade to a plus membership. Then the customer service counter made up a different lie. I checked with the store in wilmington and they explained everything not knowing that they were just confirming what I already knew. If you go here just plan on no help from staff and don't trust them. Go to Wilmington if you have the choice. read more

Stopped in today for gas. The line was 2 cars deep for the driverside pumps. I decided to back though the passenger side pump. (Not a single one being use.) I went in the direction the arrows were pointing. And the gas pump girl told me I couldn't do that. "we have rules here!" (Obviously, not being rude isnt one of them.) I told her, I follow the arrows. She said....and get this....(IF YOU HAD OF COME IN FROM THAT SIDE YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN THE SIGN THAT SAYS YOU CANT DO THAT.) Needless to say I left with no gas. The Sams Club is a Sams club but what makes a Costco so much better are the extras and the Sams Club bakery here is awful. So read this more about the bakery than the entire store which is an average Sams. We were looking for a good, real coconut cake. Having been unable to find anything more than coconut shavings on a white cake at other places we tried Sams. The staff in the bakery did not know how the cake was made or if it was even coconut. When asked if we could sample the cake or for a smaller option ( cake or cupcake ) they said "No". Not, "I'm sorry no" or "We are not allowed" or "We will sell you a slice" (which Lowes food did) just "No" Needing something for holiday guests we opted for the cheesecake which was terrible and not at all a real cheesecake. So if you want a bakery or polite helpful service, keep looking. You won't find it here. read more

Oct. 18, 2014-was a special day. My son and his new bride flew to Jacksonville, and we drove from Tulsa Oklahoma to hold a marriage celebration dinner with the elderly grandparents. They are in poor health and unable to travel so this was the only way to include them in the celebration. I ordered a custom prepared sheet cake for the dinner from Sam's club. The gentleman taking our order was most helpful. However when I arrived to pick up the cake the day of the dinner, I was told the cake had been donated. No one had bothered to tell me the pickup time had an expiration deadline. NO ONE HAD BOTHERED TO CALL EITHER OF THE TWO CELL PHONE NUMBERS WE HAD LEFT. We gave a date of completion of Friday evening at 5 to be certain the cake would be ready on Saturday morning. However, by 11:30 AM Saturday morning, it was too late the cake was gone. The woman who rudely screeched at me that the cake had been donated was so ugly I felt compelled to physically attack her. All I could do was stand there alone in disbelief, wondering what I would do for a cake now. This completely rude employee needs to find another job away from any possible customer contact! I cannot even express her total lack of care or concern and the extent of her rudeness. I am sorry to say I plan to let my Sam's card expire after all these long years. Our beautiful gesture and effort to include the folks in our celebration, was ruined and obviously, no one at Sam's cared. Sam Walton would never have tolerated this lack of care, and neither will I. read more

Although it is smaller than most Sam's Clubs, it's definitely great to have in Jacksonville! If the lines get long, the employees are usually pretty quick about doing the "in-line scan" to speed things up. No complaints! read more

I'm happy to have a Sam's here! This one has always been clean and fully stocked of the item(s) I went in for. Love the bulk vegetables. I've never been dissapointed in the freshness of the food or the prices. I love the food sample cooks they have scattered through the sections. Its always something interesting and yummy. The sample cookers know their products well and can tell me any allergy stuff I need to know. I love the selection of product. I love the wide huge isles, I don't have to worry about bumping into anything trying to turn the cart. I've never had an issue with customer assistance, and overall find it a great deal and nice shopping experience. read more
