This is our closest SAMs to Riverside and the one we use for our pet medications through the pharmacy. This location is always clear, organized and bright. People are friendly and I love the scan and go option at all SAMs clubs. The exit has become quick and easy as well. Selection of certain items can be different depending on the area, but we are able to get most of our regular items at this location. read more

I love shopping here, but the cafe is abysmal. We shop here for our business, and we have a large business account with this club. Yesterday, we ordered 6 pizzas for a kids event we had that night, and they assured us that it would be ready for pickup at 5:30. We got there at 5:30 and they said that their manager made a new policy that no one can order more than 5 pizzas. Okay, well we can get a refund on the one and still get the 5 we are allowed, right? Wrong. They completely neglected the order (that we had already paid for and placed at noon that day) so we had to wait a half hour for the pizzas. We were so late for the event we were running, that I told them we would take whatever 5 pizzas they could give us and that I would cut them myself I understand a policy of no more than 5 pizzas, but the complete lack of communication of that policy, followed by complete neglect of an already paid for and placed order, followed by an inability to cook 5 pizzas quickly to make up for your mistake is just bad business. The cafe needs to be better-managed if they accept orders for businesses (which is not an uncommon thing). It's a bulk-foods store. You should expect businesses to buy from bulk-foods stores that they have memberships with. read more

Great value on bulk items, okay gas prices, great customer service, and plenty of parking

This was the literally the worse experience I've ever had with online shopping. I was going to purchase a large screen TV from store but I couldn't fit it in my vehicle. Server desk suggested I order it from the online site and it could be delivered the next day. I did this and the Sam's site listed the arrival time as the next day. It didn't come. Checked the site and it said the order was being processed and the delivery date was unchanged. I contacted customer service and was told the order wouldn't be delivered until it was processed and it could take from 7 to 10 days to process. I attempted to cancel my order but I couldn't do this until it was processed. However, they had changed my credit card. I had to stop payment on the charge as it was pending and that cost me $34.00. I would not recomment using Sam's Club for online orders. They lie to you about delivery dates and refuse to give straight answers and unless you push them really hard. read more

I was skeptical about getting a Sam's Club membership, but I decided to purchase a Groupon for a year membership. I must say that so far I got my money's worth, and I've only had the card for a month. I purchased a $45 dollar Groupon which gave a me a year membership, $20 e-gift, a free rotisserie chicken, fruit platter, whole pizza, and pack of cookies. Also, if I purchased $25 online, I get an additional $25 e-gift. Now I must say this was a deal. Now mind you I don't think I'll ever in my life need a 5 lb bag of anything, but surprisingly I found a few things that I actually thought were reasonable to buy. They had cool first aid kit that I thought would be great to put in the trunk of my car. I also got some protein drinks that I normally pay a ridiculous price for in regular stores. There are a ton of other things that I saw that were actually pretty decent deals. Also, it didn't hurt that after shopping I was able to get a decent deal on gas. Win! I can't guarantee that I'll get a membership next year, but I'm going to make use of my membership for this year. read more

Apparently there's a new rule that if you use self checkout you have to transfer your items from 1 cart to another. Understand this place sells items in bulk. A lot of times the items are heavy. I was prepared to lift the items into the cart and then into my car... Now we have to do 3 lifts. Just seems unnecessary and unproductive. I even take the time to place everything in the cart so the bar code faces up so I don't even have to lift to find it. Totally defeated the purpose. They do wipe down the used cart prior to putting it back at the cash register for the switch. Again, probably save on wipes not making it mandatory. read more

I'm just saying #FreeTheGasPumps Due to the fact so many fill up, they've now come up with a system to get people in and out a little faster .. does it work, no but when you're paying almost .20c cheaper than the next station, who cares? They've changed all of their pumps, I'm assuming due to the pandemic and the convenience of scanning your card. Everything is clean! When I say clean, no bugs, spiderwebs of any kind. I love Sam's Club when I need things in bulk. You have to be careful on some items. Some things cost more per unit item so everything is not always a good deal. I buys lot of electronics from here as well. You can find som great travel deals as well. I love being in the store on Saturday when they are handing out demos. I'm here are things you would never buy unless you tried it. This is a great place to buy birthday cakes. They are priced great. Pros If you have a business account you can get into the store earlier and beat the rush. You can also check out with the app to avoid getting g in line. In all the years that we've shopped different Sam's Clubs, we have never been as disappointed as our last trip to the Jax Busch Drive location. We purchased one package of 4 filet mignon steaks. They looked fine in the package but when opened and the steaks turned over 2 of them were covered with grisselle and silverskin. Despite efforts to trim them, they were not eatable. They couldn't even be used as stew meat. Hiding bad cuts of meat in a high priced package is a really slimy practice. Shame on that butcher and shame on Sam. read more

This is my review of the fuel station aspect of Sam's club not the store itself. I have seen this beach blvd location at its absolute worse and now in my opinion drastically much better. The power of writing reviews and calling customer service with complaints can not be understated. I have seen management get involved by directing traffic and placing barriers in certain places to bottle neck the traffic in an out of the fuel island which indeed makes all the difference in the world here & at the Dunn Ave location. I am very appreciative of the "scan and go" feature as well which allows me to save time at the pump by not having to pull out any cards to purchase my fuel. Overall it saves a ton of time. This makes my personal choice of buying my fuel here or the Dunn Ave location easier and less time consuming. I want to say thank you to all who complained about the messy situation before because I feel we all brought about positive change. read more

We shop here between once a month to once a week for household needs in bulk. It's great for buying your items in bulk and saving in the long run. The staff here are generally very nice and polite. Although it's not the staff's issue on the rule, their rule that requires you to move each item from one cart to another (to prevent theft) seems a bit... useless. In our case, we had already finished scanning everything, and I had already finished paying when we were switching everything over. It was self-checkout, too. While they have an associate over the area, it's not like they have one at every self-checkout watching it like a hawk like Costco does. Seems easy enough just to transfer everything over regardless if that was the person's goal anyway? Plus, that is why they have someone at the door that scans your receipt and a few of your items to make sure they match, I thought? Other than that, it was a good visit. read more

Your typical Sams Club. Buy bulk at a cheaper price. Warehouse is big and clean . It's always busy in here. Some days you can go in and it's like sample city, you can sample soup in one aisle and seafood in another, go around the corner and look there is a sample of a dessert. Yes, this is the place! I've had their cakes , which were delicious. They have a pretty good selection of merchandise and services from food to car tires. Yes, I find myself here almost at least one time a week. read more

This Sam's Club needs some work. The customer service here is nonexistent. Tried to ask for assistance here from someone who appeared to be in management and received no response; he put up a finger and began to speak with an employee. Rude! After that, I didn't even bother to deal with another employee. The best thing about this store is the self check out, easy & breezy. I try to go once a week for their fresh salmon, meat products, fresh bread and cookies. They often give out free samples. And yes, they finally accept credit cards. read more

I'be been a proud Sam's Club member for nearly 30 years, and have enjoyed shopping for practically everything from electronics, furniture, clothing, and especially food. The prices are affordable, and the selections of new items are amazing. However, my family and I will be discontinuing our membership, due to humiliation and embarrassment on Christmas Eve. I was excited as I entered the main entrance of the store because the metal gate was up, no one was at the door, and I could see customers inside at the registers making their final purchase. Once inside I began to power walk to the bakery to pickup an order that I had just called the store about 12 minutes prior to arriving. I hastily headed to the back, because I was reminding myself of the time. The club was extremely noisy. I began to hear screams above the music and loudly talking, but couldn't make out what was being said 50 ft behind me. That's when I saw a woman in costume loudly yell out "call the police!", I'm extremely confused because she's talking about me. I asked, are you talking to me? Donna begin to call me ignorant and accuse me of hearing her when she called. What crime did I commit? Nevertheless, even when I exited the store and my spouse suggested I informed the manager, I politely asked for the leader of the store and sadly it was Donna and Samantha. Donna was out of character, and suggested further research by camera recording and demonstrating by squatting down, then said "it might be difficult for me to go lower to understand what she was saying." As a leader myself, customer service is very important, and Donna was the face of Sam's wholesale. read more

I'll preface this in all fairness to say that I am not a big fan of Sam's Club. I have had numerous bad experiences at this location, but I am a member and this is very close to my home. For shopping, especially now with the pay by app feature, I can go get what I need without having to interact with anyone besides the door people. So, when it was time for me to get glasses I decided I was going to shop around. I got quotes from Costco, Sam's and BJ's. I went in club for all of these estimates and Sam's Club Optical was my worst experience. The area is dark, the 2 employees didn't seem at all interested in helping, and when I asked about my insurance benefit they begrudingly "looked it up." It was a painful interaction for tmost part and at the end I told them I was going to go somewhere else since they were out of network. Unfortunately, the bad experience didn't stop there. Fast forward to a couple weeks later. I have a day off work and I am going to try to get glasses. I go into an in-network provider and they try to pull my benefits. They show me as getting services already. The system does not tell them where from, but I know it must have been Sam's Club Optical, because I didn't give any information to anyone else. I now have to call Sam's Optical to get them to release my authorization, for which I never gave consent for them to hold (in fact I told them I was not getting an exam or glasses from them). They eventually called and released the autohorization, but they were not busy when I was there and it's only pure laziness that would have made them keep my authorization when I already told them I was going elsewhere. I won't be back for optical at Sam's. It seems as with everything Sam's Club, if you have to interact with a person it will be painful. read more

There are not ever enough cashiers opened. The be way of making the employees take everything off the carts and stack it on the counter takes up more time and most of the time they don't have enough employees. This location has the worst service and options. I spent thousands in the jewelry section on presents for my family and once I paid they didn't even have gift boxes. They tried to crunch a bracelet into a ring box. I was like no just no. So they put my items unpackaged in a bag. And gave me a wad of tissue paper. Pitiful. I enjoy the other locations. This SAMs club sucks, no customer service on all levels. 5:30/6:30pm is apparently not a good time to shop there. I'm a little confused to why considering they close at 8:30. I can't order a cake, or get a rib eye cut. Machines have been cleaned so I'd have to Come back in the morning when they are slicing meat again. No one in the bakery that can take an order. If I could come in the morning I would have. Fine you can't do anything I need you to do. Stopped by the food court to get slices of pizza, a pretzel and a 4 berry Sunday. I can get the pizza in about 8 min there making them to order now. The pretzels are frozen along with the berries so there's no chance I can get it. This isn't the first time it happened. They need to fire everyone that works here as no one cares about anything. No one answers the phone. Anytime i ordered food from the cafe it's always messed up! Pizza raw and uncooked goes great with burnt bread sticks and non existent marinara sauce which compliments the stale friggin cookies! Sam's Club is basically awesome for bulk items if you didn't know. We tend to visit every other month for toliet paper and paper towels. We will shop for other items, like fresh bread, cheese, meat and seafood. Typically you will find at Sam's club a pound of shrimp more then Walmart or Publix for the same price. For example lets same Sams club offers 3lbs of shrimp for $$ Walmart or Publix will have 2lbs of shrimp for $$$ more dollars. Come check it out if you have kids, but be weary about buying fruit in bulk you may not be able to finish it. For those items head out to the nearest grocery store. read more

I was in the Sam's on Busch Drive today. Normally I have a good experience because I use scan and go but today was the opposite. There was a sign above the Ensure for $29.98. However, when I attempted to use scan and go they rang up as $31.98. I asked an associate close to that area who was working self checkout about the price discrepancy and she advised that she was aware of the sign and I would need to go through the line and let them know there is a sign for $29.98. I thanked the associate and proceeded to finish my shopping. When I was done I went through the check out lane closest to the exit. I let the cashier know there was a sign above the ensure for $29.98. The cashier thought that they may ring up correctly once she hit total. Well they didn't. She left the register to go check the price. While she was away, a woman who I assume is the front end supervisor or manager came to the register. I told her the cashier left to get the right price for the Ensure. When the cashier came back she said she would have to have all four of the Ensure's voided and then ring them up as the correct price. The same front end supervisor came over and attempted to lowly say to the cashier that she would override one but not all four. Since she didn't tell me that I said "excuse me?" She proceeded to then address me and say she would only override one. I asked if we needed to ring up all four separately so I can get the price that was advertised on the sign. She said she would only ring up one at the SIGN price of $29.98. I again stated that there was a sign for $29.98. She again stated she would only honor it for one. I ended up not getting the Ensure. The front end supervisor then went to the Ensure and took the sign down quickly. This was bad customer service on your store's part. If there is a sign with the advertised price, honor it. It's not the customer's fault that your store did not make sure the sign price was correct. Needless to say, I'll go out of my way to visit another location since your representatives do not understand sign/price accuracy and customer service. read more

The optometrist took her time with my exam, I think I was there a couple hours. She was very thorough and because she took her time and gave me the attention I needed she discovered an issue that I have with my eyes. She let me know the warning signs for what an emergency would look like with the condition that I have, she was very caring. I was not impressed with the area that sells the glasses and contacts, but that is separate from the optometrist. read more
