This store is a joke. Their managers are the most horrific people you could ever interact with. The store managers refuse any interaction with customers. I've tried to contact store leadership for 5 years about chronic problems with their deliveries and they simply don't care. I called today and spoke with the manager named Megan (9:20am 6/14/2025) and she hung up on me without helping after rudely announcing they "don't have anything like a store general manager here"...shocking and not shocking. I couldn't find my Squishys and My favorite dolls couldn't be stocked no more. The cupcakes take one week to Restock. (BAD THINGS)

Clean and had what I needed. Great for groceries or a quick stop in for something while in a rush.

I do my best to avoid this Walmart due to long lines and panhandlers/ meth heads wandering the parking lot. The selection and price are fine but that's not worth subpar customer service and feeling like you're about to be mugged. Do yourself a favor, make the drive to Yulee or St. Mary's. read more

Definitely not the worst Walmart that I've been too but it's up there. I mean, its Walmart you can't expect anything short of awful. To start off, the customer service is horrendous. Majority of the people are rude and can't be bothered to help you. They're too busy standing around fingering their fart box to give a damn. Once in a while you might get a decent cashier but that's a big might. And everyone knows how stingy the receipt checkers can be, this location is no different. They act like you robbed the place. Like yeah, I'm going to walk out with a bundle of bananas... Bathrooms are incredibly gross. You mine as well bring a gas mask and some bio hazard cleaner with you if you're planning on dropping a deuce at this location. I remember going in after this kid was coming out and there was sh*t in the urinal and a diaper with a feast loaded within. People have zero respect for public spaces. Then you have your typical lazy shoppers who decide they don't need that gallon of milk and put it on the shelf with the car care products. Like really? Are people that lazy to put something perishable back where they got it? And of course you get your typical "people of Walmart". How some people can go in there dressed the way they do without being embarrassed is amazing. From half dressed meth addicts that look like sticks, to overweight individuals with fat pouring out of their shirts and shorts; it's no short of a diversity eye sore every time you make a visit. Wearing a mask is probably your best bet because you might just a get whiff of swamp a** or the smell of fish market when a half dressed chick walks past you. Walmart is just one of those places that you go and it's one surprise after another. And it's not the good kind of surprises. It's Walmart- it's exactly what I have come to expect from the vast super-store. Employees going about their work in a fog- no smiles, rarely ever a greeting. A store that has most anything you could be looking for- usually. And in this case, it was true- I got the last griddle to replace the one I ditched over the holidays. Along with an assortment of household items- since I was there, I might as well shop for it all. I did take a moment to snuggle with a $50 sloth stuffed animal, because who could resist that??!?!? And marveled at stuffed animals that looked like they should be pinatas instead! Not even sure what they were supposed to be..... but that doesn't surprise me in this store~ lol. People watching was light on this Tuesday night, which is a huge hobby of my husband. He was disappointed. read more

Standing around with no one to help you is not the way to get a sale or a customer. I got there early on the way to work because I needed a tail light replaced. First of all, who keeps $5 tail lights under lock and key!?!?!?!? I rang the bell for assistance and rang and rang and rang and rang. You get my point. Finally walked over to automotive tire center. She was nice enough and said she would call someone since she didn't have the key. Well she called! I heard the call over the PA system. "Customer needs assistance at the automotive lights section ". Waited some more. Now late for work, I sent my apologies to my boss and coworkers for my tardiness. Still I one came. I tried again with my auto tires connection and nothing doing, there was not going to be anyone willing to help. I asked another associate who responded "I am not clocked in so I can not assist ". I asked another 2 or 3 associates on my way to the customer service desk who were helpless. Customer service was caught aback why I was even there and didn't hear the page for customer assistance. I left, headed over to both advanced auto parts and auto zone. Both had double the price for the same bulb. I got on my smart phone, pulled up Amazon and ordered the same bulbs for half the price and delivery in less than 24 hours. Amazon has me as a customer while Walmart left a bitter taste. This location and Walmart in general has improved a lot. The checkout process is much smoother now especially if you are tech savvy. Use the Walmart app to scan items as you put them in your cart then when you get to the self checkout just scan the QR, pay, and bag what you want. Shelves are stocked better now and the store is more organized. I use Walmart grocery delivery and love it. read more

Ugh. Based on proximity, it's the closest location to our house. We try to visit around 700-730 before the sketch fills up the store. We've seen customers accosting each other at 1030AM and that's not ok. The food section has had multiple half-full aisles with minimal selections. Blame what you will but if it's a "supply-chain" issue, you had better let the customers know. I hate to visit here again but it's the convenience factor that makes that happen over and over. read more

It's 8:53 and literally only 1 register (which was 20 items or less) besides self checkout open. That's re-dang-dicous. Luckily the cashier who was set to be off was willing to stay and run her register to complete the line. If I could give this store negative 5 stars I would! Can't even begin to explain the lack of professionalism, respect for customers. Pure rudness in this store with zero customer service. I was snapped at by associate in self checkout after waiting in line 10 mins to be told I can't use cash and to go to a normal check out lane. I stated/asked is it possible to put up a sign or perhaps tell ppl as they come in line so ppl aren't wasting time standing there for no reason. The associate very rudely told me not to tell her about it tell somebody else, my reply was don't be snippy with me about your job and I will speak to your manager. I proceed to checkout lane 12 where I hear the associate tell customer in front of me that they are not doing change n only excepting exact change due to stimulus checks. This puzzled me as I'm sure not everyone pays with a card every single time. So I asked does that mean I can't buy my things cuz I don't have exact change and am paying cash? She said it depends on my total n how much change would be needed. Now let me pause for a moment and ask how does this work? Why are there not signs stating such info upon entering. Plenty of covid related signs but let ppl walk around wasting time to find out you have payment restrictions! So I say to cashier ok np n I'm also needing a manager. She said ok np. While waiting for customer in front of me to finish another associate walks by cashier at checkout 12 and says who's the little girl wanting manager as she approaches me. I said I'm the little girl. So let's ask this... You are in a corporate establishment as a customer and someone employed there refers to you as this?... It's my turn to checkout I have 2 items in my basket. One item is a 2 pack of white bubble mailers and other is a big 40 pound bag of dog food. I put mailers on belt and cashier starts to scan. This is the exact moment a lady wearing no vest nothing to indicate she was management comes up and tells cashier no and tells me to leave store they are not going to check me out! Did not introduce herself did not ask what the problem was just came up to me and rudely told me to leave store! I am now beyond offended and feel very disrespected as this scene was done loudly in front of a bunch of shoppers and associates. I started to leave but man this was wrong the whole thing so I turned around went back in and said I need a general manager everyone acted like they couldn't help so I went to customer service where the same lady that told me to leave claiming to be manager literally ran behind the service desk and calling the police to have me escorted off property! IT'S ALL RELATIVE! Let's face it, some people just dislike Walmart because it's Walmart. Some people don't like them simply because they don't like their policies and practices but have become too reliant on them for what they need. I like Walmart a lot better now that I have learned how to shop and what to expect. For example, I try to shop off hours whenever possible. I know longer purchase food items at Walmart and keep my purchases to personal care items and household items. Find out what it is that bugs you, adjust and keep it moving. Anytime I travel, Walmart is my go to spot for almost everything simply because I know it so well and shopping here is super convenient. When I visited this store, I noticed that it was an older store, (in great condition), with the traditional layout. This made it easier to find exactly what I needed and all items were in stock. We were able to quickly exit through the checkout because there was just one other person that was actually finishing as we approached. Customer service was polite and efficient. ***This is a very nice Walmart located in a major shopping area so if you have additional items you need, you are in the perfect place. If you are staying at one of the hotels on Airport Rd, you are just minutes away and could easily walk, (weather permitting). Happy Shopping! read more

My hands were tied and I had to run into this Walmart for some last minute items. This place is always busy. Walking in security guard mean mugged me, made me feel like he thought I stole something and I was walking in not out. Workers everywhere and mind you were an inconvenience to them for shopping there. They will not get out of your way while they stock shelves. I was told to walk around. .... smh Checking out is never an easy task only 2 regular cashiers 1 express and your self checkout lanes. Why does everyone feel the need to self checkout with a completely full cart of items. WIC transactions other 2 so that was gonna be awhile. Glossing over how just the parking infrastructure is a NIGHTMARE, trying to navigate in the store is infuriating. Everything is in the walkways and it's always crammed with slow walkers, not allowing you to get by. And trying to use grocery pickup or delivery to avoid the frustration? Good luck. They love to mark items out of stock. I have gone into the store immediately after receiving my order with items marked out of stock, and found that they had a plentiful supply. That's just laziness and incompetence. They are constantly understaffed, so all orders are late, or incorrect, or in my most recent case, marked delivered, only to receive NOTHING because they sent the pickup notification to the driver too late. Yes, they rectified this, but it required me to spend my Saturday morning (over 12 hours after I should have received my order) on the phone holding, and being forced to escalate it until they FINALLY decided to have my groceries delivered. (The first call, I was told they couldn't resend them because they were understaffed and when I asked for a manager, was told one wasn't there today.) Paying for convenience to avoid their terrible setup wasn't very convenient. I wish I could give negative stars. Pretty much the same as every other Walmart, but having a Subway instead of a McDonald's makes it slightly better in my opinion. The Electronic's department staff is pretty much well staff compared to other locations I've been in. Hot bar is pretty consistent with its choices of fried foods and starches, but they keep a good rotation of fresh servings. All in All, this store is pretty good compared to other Jacksonville Walmarts. read more

I know, I know. I shouldn't go to Walmart if I don't like shopping there. And, make no mistake, I -DON'T- like shopping there, but a well-meaning person gifted me with a Walmart gift card, so... I was looking for ONE ITEM. I couldn't find any associates on the floor to tell me if that had that one item or where it might be (it wasn't where my spidey-senses told me it should be.) I finally found the one item. Then, because of the way the sheving was arranaged, I couldn't determine the price of the one item. I was pretty sure it wasn't $10, but was it $15? Might it be $20? So, I started hunting for one of the price scanners. Couldn't find one; I guess they've taken them down. As I was willing to pay the higher price for the one item, I just went to the checkout. Walmart has a gabzillion checkout aisles, and only about 5 are ever open. This was Sunday afternoon, and the lines at each (including the self-checkers) are, no kidding, 6 and 7 deep. I've got ONE ITEM, and so... I wait. I foolishly selected a self-checkout, as it looked like the line was shorter. Well, it was, but the shopper ahead of me way buying supplies for the next millenium, and having trouble getting the items to scan and register, and for some unfathomable reason taking items OUT of the already-bagged collection which upsets the computer keeping tabs, and... Eventually, they were finished processing, and paid with cash and two cards, and I finally scanned my ONE ITEM and presented my gift card to the payment system... which refused to recognize it. I had a second gift card (note to self: upgrade friends...) and ran that through the mag strip reader. No go, either. Tried turning the card around and swiping... no go. Suddenly, unexpectedly, I HAVE BECOME THE PEOPLE I LOATHE! I'm an imbicle who can't check out ONE ITEM at the self-checker, and the self-checker supervisor, who was busy chatting with someone else finally comes over and says "you need to scan the card, not swipe it." Did I mention I hate Walmart? My plan is to use the remainder of my gift cards on gasoline. Oh, parking here sucks as well, the traffic pattern is horrific, and I was panhandled by the same guy going in, and coming out. But, at least they raised my blood pressure several points, which is always a good thing, right? My advice: avoid. read more
