It's time to renew my membership and I'm wavering. I love the scan and go yet I don't like how dirty this location is. The parking lot is nasty and so is the entrance. Good luck grabbing a cart inside -- you'd do yourself a favor and grab one from the parking return. I wish they would turn on some lights too. The refrigerators don't seem cold enough and the produce section needs some assistance. However, you can find some nice decor pieces and household gadgets. read more

We recently got a membership to Sam's Club because they had a $15 special for the year. It is very very similar to Costco. I don't recommend having memberships at both since they are so similar. The isles seem wider at Sam's but, Costco seems cleaner? Not sure if it is the lighting? Both are pure chaos and super busy. I need to psych myself up to go lol. read more

Sick and tired of calling their Hobart store to ask a question or try to make an appointment for new tires or even a tire rotation and nobody answers or they answer and hang up on you. Ten times in a row. Hire someone at minimum wage with a disability that can't work on the floor to answer the doggone phone. Sam's is okay. Be sure to check those prices as you may not always be getting the best deal. I have to say I like buying fruit here. It's fresh and reasonably priced. They also have a nice variety. I was super excited about going to Sam's for the first time in the mid west. I will have to say I was pleasantly surprised at all of the options they had available. Not only did they have extremely great prices they also had instant savings which is a lot better than waiting to get a rebate in the mail or getting cash back on a card. It was such a wonderful trip and I found so many different items I couldn't find at the other competitor. I would have spent less had I not found so many deals. So I ended up spending the same amount for a lot more. The warehouse was clean and tidy. It was very well organized and very well lit. There was only one problem. I plan to ask customer service about it the next time I go back rather than hold it against them. 6/30/18 Welp. As usual you always have one bad apple to spoil something good! Wow. Like rude. I walked this whole store. Started off in electronics and called to the front looking for a Xbox live gold card for the kiddos. So. Was super psyched about it. Got there called back to the front cause this sweet little pregnant lady sat there and called over the mic on her shoulder for literally 5 minutes. Asking does anyone know if electronics was available. All the csm had to do was say no sweetie they are on break. But no. She was rude and had snide comments and She make the lady wait. And me. Biiiiig mistake hun. I don't take kindly to people being rude and secondly especially not to a pregnant lady. Whomever that was she needs to be reprimanded. I don't care if the item wasn't in stock. I was nice enough to wait. And follow some guy around in electronics in the beginning and he didn't have what I needed but still I was ok with it. But being rude isn't a good look. I dropped the f bomb. To my husband of coarse. Never to anyone else. So yeah. I would recommend them telling "Sam" to behave a little more like a CSM. And I don't hide behind a blank profile. It's me. You need to be nice to everyone. Just because I'm not in scrubs doesn't mean you shouldn't treat me with respect. Costco has generally better products. Sam's hours and gas station are much better. Costco needs to relocate and expand their gas station. It is terrible compared to Sam's Club. Sam's even needs to add a few more pumps. read more

The auto center was fantastic. We rented a van for vacation and our tire blew out. They had the right tire we needed and got it in the garage right away. Took no time at all and gave our pup some water and let him cool off inside as well. The mechanics were super helpful and did an incredible job. read more

Not worthy of more than the 2stars I'm giving this place. I've been to plenty of Sams Club stores but this one by far is the worst. Yesterday the weather was horrible. It was snowy and blistery cold. I had to run out to sams for a few items and to my surprise, the parking lot was pretty full. I seen many shopping carts in the cart holders but did not think that I had to grab one to take into the store with me. Upon entering the store, of course, I was greeted by the person who checks your membership card. I also seen a few other workers organizing store items near by. I quickly looked for a shopping cart to begin shopping, I noticed that a few others were doing the same. There were no carts in sight. I heard a gentleman ask the store greeter for a cart; her response to him and the rest of us was that we needed to go out to the parking lot to get a cart. I was so appaled at her response! Are you kidding me. One of the workers that was near by heard complaining and he volunteered to go out to the parking lot to get carts. He came back with a ton of carts and was very pleasant to us. In the store, many of the other co-workers were very helpful. The store was fairly clean but the lines were ridiculous. More staff is needed, especially around the holidays. If I have to come back to sams, i will. But I think a change to costco will be my best bet. I was so done with this place. read more

I had my car towed to this location on a Sunday night about 15 minutes before closing time. Not only did they put on four new tires for me, staying well past their closing time in order to do it, but they also gave me a great price. Extremely thankful for the great customer service! I joined about a year ago with a deal off Groupon that cost me $45.00 and I received a Sam's gift card for $25. I couldn't really pass up the chance to give it a try. I typically purchase the same items.....a variety of snack cake items for my son and several items from the pet department, which are quite a great deal ( I foster for a local rescue so this is a huge help). I also have found some really good deals including Olive Garden salad dressing and Hellmanns dressing. I must say that the cakes that are baked for special occasions are Delish! You Must Must try their baked whole chicken Bravo! And for only $4.99?..wow! even the white meat is moist! Give them a try. This pharmacy is by far the worst ever in customer service. Sorry is not acceptable when you make a mistake that costs the customer time and money. This has made my decision pretty easy, I will be switching my membership over to Costco when it expires. Oh and to the pharmacist who got her feelings hurt when she bothered my husband at work the other day. Get over it, and that's pretty crappy calling his wife to whine about it. No one go to this location!! There was an item on the floor with a legitimate price tag. that they refused to sell me. In order to sell it at their event sale the next week. The price was not any different today than it would've been next week they just wanted to have inventory for their sale causing me to drive for towns over to try to find it at another location. I would not recommend the story to anyone it is absolutely terrible! This item was not taped off it was not awful and it limits there was no sign saying it could not be sold yet they refused to sell it to me. read more

In July they had this thing you could shop there if you had a Costco card, so we went to check it out, merchandise was all over the floor and the lights were super dim. It was a really unpleasant experience. We walked around for like 10 min and realized why we have a Costco card. read more

Dont know why they put in express lanes. Who is really going to use an express lane when everyone there has a cart full of stuff. I flagged a young man named Anthony down and asked him if he knew how often they got flowers in and I explained that I wanted 5 bouquets for Sun. He not only asked someone that had that information (Andriana) but asked her if they could be ordered for me. Then when her questions were unclear she called Julie to help. Over all they made arrangement for the flowers to be ordered. They went above and beyond (you would have thought I was buying 20 bouquets instead of 5) I really appreciated that type of service. The Sam's Club Tire Center DOES NOT provide ANY customer service. The lady at the desk treats customers like she was disciplining them in the military! I bought two new tires to put on the back. I asked for the front tires to be discarded and the two back tires to be placed ON THE SAME SIDE on the front. This DID NOT happen. They put the old tires on the opposite side instead of the same side. With military lady in charge, I did not want to force the issue since I was not the Sam's Club member. Ugggg! It was a few weeks ago that we, members, stopped for gas at the Hobart, Indiana Sam's Club. It is usually my husband who gets out of the car for the gas when we are together. This time It had to be me because my husband just had major back surgery. I got out of the car and my husband did too. While it was being pumped, I noticed too a puddle. I thought it was water. When getting back into my car, at the drivers side, I went down to the ground hard! I learned when I went down, the slippery concrete was from gas on the ground. I was terribly hurting! I looked at the little cage where an employee is usually standing. Nobody was there until I got back in my car. This is when I saw an employee. I got back out to tell her she better get this gas cleaned up before someone else fall. I learned it ruined my brand new gym shoes and the jeans and jacket I was wearing. Within an hour of the pain in my leg and back, I could see the bruise running up my leg. I was still angry that it had not been cleaned up! I knew it had to be seen on the camera at that sight. I went back in to the store to let them know of what needs to be viewed. This was after I went home in pain to try and get the awful smell off of my shoes and jeans. I could not get it to go away. I tried everything people told me to try. I must add......how good it was that it was not my husband with stitches around his neck and a brace on his neck from this surgery, that it wasn't him that went down on this gas that had not been cleaned up!!! He could of been paralyzed for life!!!! I went back to fill out a report of this accident that happened. It was sent in to who was suppose to take care of this problem. It was an insurance agent who called me. I gave all of the information to her. It took a couple weeks for her to call me back to tell me that it was turned down as a claim!!! Reasoning is what blew me away! She told me that it was turned down because of me falling at a restaurant ten years earlier!!!! She asked no details of what happened at that time! That fall, that fractured my leg, happened when the concrete steps up to the front door collapsed when I was leaving the store!!!! It was known from the started that it was not my fault either!!!!!! How dare Sam's Club think that it was my fault when I slipped immediately on their concrete that THEY DID NOT CLEAN UP! OR......LET ANYONE KNOW THERE WAS SLICK CONCRETE AT THE PUMP??!! Since then, I have let everyone know what was said and done. I got the same suggestion from all of the people I told. They said, to take it to court! I decided I am going to call and have them review it, but, I will definitely take it to court if they choose not to do that!. Denying it because of a restaurant being at fault 10 years ago that caused an injury????? That is the most stupid thing everyone, including me hearing ever!! My back still hurts from it and all I wanted was compensation for my gym shoes that they caused to be ruined!! If you ask me now, they are going to wish they took care of my shoes they ruined a few weeks ago. They told me THEY saw the video!!!! read more
