BUYER BEWARE! I had my oil changed at this location earlier this year. That day I followed their instructions to remain in my car with the motor running. During my visit, I heard a loud pop like sound and felt the force of it. I thought that the tech in the bay under my car was having problems loosening the oil filter. When the job was completed, I left there and went straight way to a car wash approx. one mile away. I pulled up to the vacuum pumps, turned my car off, and proceeded to vacuum it out. When done, I started my car and tried to put it into gear but it would not respond. The gear shift changer moved backwards and forward freely without engaging the transmission which meant that I could not move the car. I had to call for a ride home. That took longer than 90 min. I later on started the process of unpacking my car and transfering the items to another car. I was amazed at all of the stuff I'd been hauling around. I was so frustrated that I decided to call a tow truck to have my car towed to a junk yard. That took another 2+ hours. The tow truck driver arrived and had to get under the car in order to manually engage the transmission in order to back the car out and into position. He alerted me to the fact that the transmission cable was disconnected but not broken. I had the car towed to my home and called a mechanic (my brother named Craig). He arrived an additional 2 hours later and reconnected the cable in less than 30 mins. Mind you every step of this process cost me money. I waited so long to post this review, because I didn't want to unnecessarily defame this business in case it was merely a coincidence, and I also wanted to lessen the impact of any negative blow back like being blackballed, in some way, or another. I decided to post this review because I don't want anyone else to ever have to go through this kind of ordeal. In all fairness, I cannot say definitively that the oil change tech at Jiffy Lube popped my transmission cable, but it seems like that is something that s/he should have noticed and mentioned to me. That was the most regretful, stressful, time consuming, and expensive oil change I have ever experienced. Needless to say, I hope that I'll never be put into a position in which I have to give them any more of my business. Buyer beware! read more

I've used Jiffy Lubes all over the country and this is by far, the worst experience I've ever had. Here's a review of the multitude of disappointments: - Had to wait in line for 20+ minutes to get in (it was near closing so I'll give them somewhat of a pass) but serviced seemed very slow. - Finally got in and waited 30+ minutes for the oil change...it was definitely not done in a "Jiffy" - Asked them to set my tire pressure at 44psi exactly. Checked the pressure later on to find most of my tires in the mid 30's. - When I got home, oil was leaking under my car in the garage of my brand new house! After looking under the car, I could see oil leaking as well as a bolt missing on the oil pan cover. - Returned to Jiffy Lube (had to wait in line again). Waited longer in the office until they finally fessed up and said the old oil leaked out all over the pan but it was not leaking new oil. - They tried to make me feel stupid by asking if I checked the oil level (which I did) making it seem like there wasn't a problem. Even though it was fine, there's NO excuse for oil to be leaking. They did show me under the vehicle and fixed the bolt but said another bolt was stripped. It looked like they just bent back the cover to get access to the oil pan. On top of all this I paid $90+ for the oil change (AFTER a meager $7 off coupon mind you)! This is the most I've ever paid for an oil change in my life. On top of that they offered me no discount or rebate for the time and aggravation of going back and having to clean up my garage floor. That was the first and last time I'll ever go to the Jiffy Lube in Crown Point and I'm done with the franchise as a whole. Stay away! read more

Decent service, but they try to upsell you on everything to pad their profit. Better check your bill too before you pay. Mine seemed unusually inflated. They wanted to upgrade everything but not talk about price. My vehicle has 6 qts of oil so their price was initially gonna be $59. ??? For an oil chg? An a car thats 6 years old and not a performance vehicle? Cmon!! I usually have a coupon and pay 35-40. Which is kind of high. But its Jiffy Lube so I get it. This was unreasonably high so I curbed that nonsense quick and made them give me conventional oil. Warning! Watch what they want to give to you before you agree. read more

This is supposed to be a first come first serve basis. Why I would have to be the last one out of a line of three cars when I was the first one there is beyond me. When I brought up the subject to a gentleman named Jae he shrugged me off so his lines are still good. I don't know what that means but how can your lines be good when I was first but you put me last. Will never go to this Jiffy Lube again after being there for eight years. read more

I had an incredible experience here. Greg greeted me at my car with an umbrella while it was raining. The entire staff was very welcoming and respectful. The service was very fast and they even vacuumed (how nice!). When I left my car drove perfectly. Overall I am extremely happy and will definitely be coming to this location from now on. read more

It's a jiffy lube, so i won't give more than 4 stars unless they start offering cookies while I wait or something. It's a solid 3 star average for the chain, but the guys here are consistently kind and not creepy. Coffee isn't great, but I come here for the people and quick service. read more

Now I'm not 100% positive here. But I do believe that they stole change out of my change thingy. Because it's always filled with change. Then when I was on my way back to the city I went to grab some change for the tolls. And guess what I touched the bottom of the change thingy, which I haven't done in several years. Now I don't really care that they may have stole my change, because there was like two dollars at the most in there. I actually laughed when I realized that some one here might have actually stole some of my change. But aside from the case of the missing change, my experience here was pleasant, which is why it's getting two stars instead of one. It does seem that oil changes here are a bit more expensive than other places I think. read more

First and last time. I was made to wait 15 minutes to be registered even thought I needed to just leave my car and pick it up later. All they needed to do is get my name in the computer and let me go. They were just working on cars and did not seem to be much in a hurry. I left after 15 minutes so I don't know how much longer I would have had to wait...Needless to say I will not be going back read more

Saturday i went to get an oil change and I was also advised that I need to get a routine tire rotation so I followed the associates recommendation and proceeded with the service. With checking out I was assured that everything was up and running and ready for me to go. I left thanking them for their service and went on my way. Leaving the parking lot my car was making noises, I knew something wasn't quite right, I pulled into the parking lot next to the Jiffy lube to check what was going on. I noticed right away that the service provider neglected to properly put my front passenger tire back on correctly . There where bolts laying in the street, I was able to unscrew a bolt with my fingers with minimal effort. I walked back to the counter of jiffy lube and informed them of the situation. They came back out to fix it. I am very disappointed in the lack of efficiency and regards to saftey. As I feel that putting a tire on properly should be number one on the list, and the fact that the service associate drove the car out to the front door for me to get in and didn't even think twice about it, there are a million different things that could of gone wrong luckily I noticed right away and hopefully avoided any damages to the rim, As being a very loyal customer my self and my family have been taking our cars to jiffy lube for years I hope this situation gets taken care of in the appropriate manner. read more
