Went with my dad on a Sunday evening. It wasn't too crowded, but still had quite a few people inside. We were very pleased with the entrance greeter who were checking membership id, giving an umbrella bag to store your umbrella. The store looks a bit generic, but still organized. We were able to get the products we needed. We took advantage of the scan and go feature from the Sam's application, allowing us to pay immediately without having to go to checkout at the end. They still had the AI cameras portal, where if it doesn't ring, you can exit without having an attendant verify your receipt and items. Since it was a bit late, the sample stations were not operating. The staff were were nice, but I wish the didn't have people trying to sell the water filters or cell phone services. It can sometimes get bit chaotic with the forklifts and other industrial vehicles getting in the way of shoppers, but at least they give a good heads up warning. The prices are more cheaper than Costco or BJs, and you can get good coupons and deals too. I do enjoy their fresh squeeze orange juice, but it is big sized and a bit expensive. I must say that I did have a nice experience at Sam's that day, so I am going to up my rating to a 4. It's still not as nice as Costco or BJs, but definitely more reasonably priced and a shorter distance from our home. Definitely worth getting a membership if you been get it discounted. We stopped in to get some household necessities. While there, we sampled chicken tenders and Crystal Light. Kimberly was working the Crystal Light station. She was friendly and engaging. She encouraged us to try the different flavors. We liked them so much we bought the variety box. They also had other sample stations with nuggets, peaches and applesauce. After completing our scan and go purchase, we dropped off our items to the vehicle and went to the liquor store. We were on our way to a birthday party and decided to pick up a few bottles of alcohol for drinks. The liquor store attendant was not pleasant. She did not speak at all. Grab a shopping cart on your way in from the parking lot. 9 times out of 10, there are no carts on the weekend. The best part about shopping here for me is the ability to use the mobile app to check out and skip the register lines. You will even get extra savings on some items if you use the app. I can pull over wherever in the store and scan my items at my own pace. I can also use it as a price checker. Once you've checked out on the app, just show the barcode on the way out. Super simple. There is a liquor store next door but make sure you put your groceries away first, no carts allowed. read more

Very disappointing experience at this Sam's Club tire center on Sunday. The staff appeared inexperienced and unprofessional, and communication was extremely poor. A young technician stripped one of my lug bolts and then attempted to blame AAA, despite the fact that AAA had installed the spare without issue and documented the installation with photos. I was given inaccurate information about service expectations, with little accountability or urgency to resolve the problem. After being there for over two hours, I was ultimately told they could not remove the bolt and would not be able to install my new tire. I normally purchase all of my tires and get rotations done at the Apopka location, but due to a flat tire this was the closest option, unfortunately, that was a mistake. read more

They have great seasonal items for sale, a nice and reasonably priced pharmacy, they sell tires, clothing, books, toys, jewelry, TV's, computers, tablets, and great fresh food. Our favorite departments are the cleaning supplies and the fresh fruit and vegetables. They were the first tos ell my favorite apple last year, Cosmic Crisp. They have them back now. I also LOVE their blueberries and Driscoll blackberries. The prices on these is so reasonable that I won't buy them anywhere else. I got a coupon for Sam's Club that pretty much gives me free membership - you get a $45 gift card after you pay for your $45 membership. So, loyal Costco fans as we may be, we went shopping at that OTHER place. Look: they are very comparable to Costco as far as price and selection are concerned - probably BETTER than Costco on the latter count, but what REALLY p***d me off was the way they handled that "gift card" incentive. The rep who signed me up told me that I need to go shopping that very day, for $45 or more, at which time I'd get my $45 credit when I checked out; but if I DIDN'T spen $45 the day I'm signed up, I get zip. That was not what the coupon said, but I was in a conciliatory mood. Plus, no big deal - I'll spend $45 alright! At check-out, no such credit was given. I enlisted the help of another rep, who tried and then had to enlist the help of his sup ... they then told me, it's not loaded yet - I'll get it on the NEXT shopping trip. When I explained that that's not what the other clerk said, she said the other doesn't know what she's talking about. Two days later, I went to ANOTHER Sam's club, tested to see that my credit is now loaded, cancelled the sale (cuz I don't need my 5th set of bluetooth earbuds, no matter how good the price was) and went shopping. So do you think that I got my $45 credit when I checked out? Good guess! You were paying attention, weren't you! Fortunately, the line to customer service was too long (or else I would have really lost it). I'll take a few more days to cool down before picking things up again. ITMT, the price on those Ch. Ste. Michelle Indian Wells Cab 2017 ($9 for a $20 retail wine, and a GREAT one), is not one to pass by. But even on THAT, I have a complaint: I'll save that for next time. Look at the photo of the wines, and try to overlook the not-very-useful ratings from 3-4 vintages back... they have a fantastic deal here, but they don't know how to sell it. There are also self check out stations, but these are not cleaned between customers. 6ft markers in place but not necessarily enforced) What did I get Bulk items are good for bigger families or supermarkets that like price consistency. For me, with sales on other items in other supermarkets, I wouldn't say Sam's club is always the cheapest. I do usually buy the Golden Kiwi and snacking cucumber from Sams club. Other bulk items I like are black beans, rice and whole almonds. Environment Stand alone building with plenty of parking. There is a neighborhood Walmart nest door. There is a alcohol store to Sams as well. There also is a gas station. Turning into Sams club is no problem but leaving sams club at the intersection can become a headache.. but overall not a big deal. Niceness of the staff I have minimum contact with staff... Sometimes waiting for a staff to help you at the self check out can take some time... They don't see as attentive to the stations. The people at the entrance and exit of the store are also just doing them. No real conversations. Dollar Do your research. Some items are worth it and some you may can find elsewhere. Yesterday I was shopping @ my local Sam's club. I like gift cards to give away as gifts. This time I purchased one for "Wild Wings Cafe". However when I went to redeem I found out through my "Yelp" app that the restaurant I previously visited in Jacksonville Florida had closed "Permanently". And there were no more locations in Florida. Today I returned to Sam's for a refund or store credit and was told @ Customer Support, "No Refunds" for gift cards. Even though that information is not posted in the area where you purchase gift cards. Makes no sense that you don't have this posted where shoppers can be made aware until they have a problem. It's not even posted at the register. WARNING: DO NOT BUT GIFT CARDS AT SAM'S. they'll tell you it's your problem. I'll go back to getting mine through Amazon. I've been a member of Sam's Club for several years now and usually shop this location since it's the closest to my house. I went with my mom yesterday to do a pick-up order. My family loves the Farmers Market chicken breast at Sam's. It is one of the juiciest and best tasting chicken and is the only place that I can find it for my family. Unfortunately, though, it said it was out of stock in the store, and I could not add it to my pick-up order. After I received my pick-up order, I decided to run into the store with my mom. She forgot a couple of things that she needed. My mom needs a scooter in the store, but the last few times we have gone, there is never one available or the ones that are, they are not plugged in, so they don't work! She didn't get a working one yesterday either! I decided to stop by the area where the chicken is kept, and this is what I found lots of Farmers Market chicken breasts available to buy!!! This is not the first time this has happened. They frequently have items unavailable for pick-up, then when I go into the store, they have plenty! Super frustrating that I still have to go into the store to grab things that I need. Also, tried to get gas on the way in and out, but most times I come, they are at least 5 to 10 cars deep for each gas pump and I frequently come on a weekday so it's less crowded. The set-up is efficient, as long as everyone plays nice. With a strict one-way process, you can ideally use 50% of the pumps, unless you have a vehicle that allows you to stretch the hose around. The station can get very busy at times, so be prepared for a wait. Sometimes people jump the lines, it's obnoxious but it happens. The attendants are generally helpful when you need them, & beware - they will correct you if you go the wrong way. Ha! I appreciate the option to scan the app that connects both your membership & payment card in one easy, no-touch step. I recently went to the Sam's Club Cafe to grab a pizza after doing some shopping. It wasn't a great experience, for me because the service was really slow. After I placed my order for the pizza I waited for it to be prepared. However, as time went on I started getting worried. I decided to ask about the status of my order since they're supposed to handle orders in the order they receive them. Unfortunately, when I checked on how things were going with my order I found out that it had been moved up in line causing delays. I asked if they took appointments and was told yes and with an appointment you only need to wait about an hour to have them installed. I've was sitting here for 1.5 hours and no call, so I went to check. Short answer: appointment really don't matter and they will get to it soon. Shouldn't be more than an hour once they start!! What has happened here? What use to be the GOLD STANDARD for crazy discounted goods and stellar customer service has become such a disappointment for us. Where are all the OMG deals that use to be a reason to stay connected and pay their club fees? Sometime ago I adopted the: "Sam's is the buyer beware club" mantra. You might just be buying a cupboard full of paper towels that's not a good deal at all. Gas prices that use to be $.05 to .06 cents a gal. below the best street price, no longer keeps up. Today at $2.57 gal., this is a price easily found round town. Publix has had the exact same thick sliced bacon for near enough same price. Let's presume it's the way of established success? I recall back in the 80's when Home Depot first showed upon the scene, they had a similar killer competition sales plan, only to wane before the Orlando's mark up ratio on many things had to lower to allow the "other guys" to survive. (at least Home Depot doesn't charge a membership) We often find a lot of the help has a disconnected and disinterested "tude" for our needs or requests. If we need some help with something, we get he feeling it's our problem. Not all of the employees of course, but enough to make this negative impression. Like ZERO carts available at the front door. We always love coming to Sam's Club. Great selection of just about anything you are looking to buy. We have purchased everything from food to jewelry and electronics, and have enjoyed saving money on everything. Bulk buying isn't for everyone, especially as becoming 'empty-nesters' but this is easily resolved by sharing bulk with neighbors or various places we volunteer. We also have more room now, so that 18 pack of paper towels can be stored if we need to do so. Sam's offers 'seasonal items' and with Spring and Summer on the horizon, right now Sam's offers a nice variety of outdoor living items, such as surf/boogie boards, beautiful gazebo-like backyard entertaining sets, tents for camping, suitcases for traveling, and they also offer vacation planning/tours at great prices. We have made Sam's our 'go-to' for buying tires and batteries for our cars. The prices really can't be beat, and the installation, too! Sam's has a wine selection that is amazing. All the way from super premium labels to more affordable wines, and at a discount. Occasionally, Sam's will buy a bulk of 'off the beaten path' wines that just make a fun gift when going to a party. Most recently, we bought one called '19 Crimes' which is a Merlot and we plan to take that as a host gift for a Super Bowl party this weekend. We also purchased red called 'Josh' which we will give to a good friend just because of the name. When it comes to purchasing contact lenses or glasses, Sam's offers all the same brands and models as my optometrist, but at a price that is about 25% or so less than at my doctor. I just take the script to Sam's and have it filled there. Why waste money? Same exact product. We have also purchased furniture in store and on Sams.com. Our leather living room will be delivered this weekend. Can't wait! It is beautiful. Sam's offers seasonal name-brand clothing, too. I don't like to have to dig through piles to find my size, but I will do it, especially when it's Under Amour! These prices cannot be matched or beat anywhere. We don't know how they do it, but Sam's freshly broiled chicken is insanely delicious and the chickens are huge. Enough to last us a week and only $4.99! I can't broil one and have it taste so delicious for that price. ALL of our laundry supplies come from Sam's. The Sam's brand is good, but with such great prices on name brands we usually buy those at a nice discount. When looking for a quality, brand name bed, there are great beds to be found here, too. The only issue one might have is getting it home. If you purchase on Sams.com it can be delivered and set up, sometimes free shipping and 'white glove' set up is included. We have also purchased Fit Bits, X-Box, PlayStation, cellular phones, big screen televisions, computers and more from the electronics and entertainment department. As for computers, while they are a great value, since we have so many files and such to transfer we now make those purchases at computer stores for the sake of setting the computer up to our personalized needs. We visit Sam's on almost a weekly basis, especially for fresh produce and dairy. Again, great prices!!! We bought a birthday cake on Sunday for a celebration today. It's beautiful and very tasty. On the weekends, expect to find a line at check out with a cashier. If in a hurry, they offer self-check out, so it's scan, pay, go. Gotta love that one. Do we buy more than we should? Well, not usually, but if something irresistible is on mark-down, we will find a way to budget and purchase it. I can understand previous reviews stating that the reviewer[s] don't like crowds, to that I just have to wonder if they realize that a store needs customers to stay in business. If crowds are not your 'thing' then I would recommend weekdays, especially about 7pm. I have shopped many times later in the day on a weekday and find it real easy to get in and out quickly. What I did find unforgivable was one review that BLAMED Sam's Club for being out of water the day before Hurricane Matthew. The storm was late in the season and very unexpected. When the tv weather reports even hinted that the storm 'could' be coming our way, I stocked up with hurricane essentials about 6 days out. Let's be FAIR here; ALL the stores in town were running low on things the day before Matthew came through, not just Sam's, but every chain or markets and other discount stores, such as Costco. I know, I belong to Costco, too. What we respect MOST about Sam's Club is their outreach to the community and fund-raising for charities. Sam's and WalMart are a major player for fund-raising for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. They always have been since CMN was established in 1983. I have first-hand knowledge as a volunteer with CMN [also since 1983]. Sam's/Walmart employees are also highly visible as volunteers during the holidays. This place is crowded and they typically have 1 or 2 registers open. This was the closest location to me, but they just opened a new one north of me. Of course new and clean so I enjoy it more. They had newer items as well. This store also has a lot of sales people that tend to approach you in the store (satellite, windows, etc). I know where the stuff is and it is in proximity of my house so will still go here, but will probably split to the other newer location. I do enjoy my membership and feel I save time and money by shopping here in bulk. read more
