I have been a Sam's Club member for years....and I have to say. This Sam's has been falling behind lately. Super sad. I don't know what they have been doing lately with all the product off the top tiers and down on the floor double deep where you can't even shop. But today was extra special bummer of a shopping experience. Gas station was shut down. Hardly any product that I normally buy was available. No pizzas ready for scan and go. Only a couple slices available to buy ...one person working the cafe that I actually saw. A million hot dogs wrapped ready to go.....so you know my hot dog was terrible...no mustard for the hotdog. This location needs to hire more or better help . Not enough cashiers . The cafe is overwhelmed no place to park a cart . Then the exit... you have giant scanner arches but for some reason you still have people at the front door who accost you even after scanning the receipt nope that isn't good enough either now we need to scan several items in the cart too . It should not be that hard to leave a giant warehouse store where the chances of someone stealing and item once the receipt has already been scanned is slim to none. Good grief please get this down to a simpler process let people leave in a timely efficient manner . read more

MOST CONVENIENT SC in the IE! I've been touring the Sam's Clubs in the Inland Empire and this Palm Desert location has the best qualities of each store. It's HUGE, has great food options, and packed with deals. I bought two large bottles of Native body wash for less than $10 whereas Walgreens charges more than $10 for one! I also purchased some warm jackets and long sleeves for the upcoming months. I didn't break the bank for clothes, everything was reasonable. Sam's carried brands like Adidas, Levi-Strauss, and Jacque. Into PJ's? They had plenty of Disney pajamas and kids clothes for all your comfy needs. Teachers, Sam's has amazing bulk snacks and treats for prize boxes. I'm starting a list for my next visit, there's candy, cookies, and goodies galore. If you're buying for large families, they had delicious Sam's Club salads, frozen pizzas, and prepared dinners at this location. I visited the Sam's Club Cafe on the way out and grabbed a Vanilla Frozen Yogurt. It was $1.09 and perfectly chilled. It was over 100 degrees outside so I definitely appreciated the quality dessert. If I could give zero stars I would. We set up a sam's club membership for convenience and to make our life's easier. However, this has been a never ending mess. Our app has not worked this whole month and each time we call sam's club support line, it's a dead end. UPDATE: The gentleman told us it's 2 cars per 24 hrs to get gas we waited til this morning to go out of town and just as we thought the app to get gas DID NOT work Also the pumps are from the 70's and I was told they will not be getting pumps or anything new changed until next year. It was one of the better run Sam's Club I have shopped at that are not ones I shop at on a weekly basis. We stopped in here for a normal shopping trip yesterday. We have been having a hard time getting one of my daughters diabetic prescriptions due to supply chain issues. I popped by the pharmacy to see if they could get them. This is not our preferred pharmacy from our insurance, but they happened to have what we needed in stock. Here comes the fun part. Getting the prescription transferred. Veronica spent over an hour on the phone for us calling insurance and our other pharmacy which had transferred the prescription to Amazon. She called Amazon as well and she got the prescription stopped with them. Low and behold, after close to 2 hours waiting, we were able to walk out with our Dexcom G7 sensors in hand. Veronica was amazing. She did not have to do all of that for us but she did, and I think if our insurance allows it, we will transfer all of our families prescriptions here. Had the absolute worst experience with the tire center. We blew a tire on our trailer and called to see about getting tires. They had 5 available and said they were open until 7. We arrived at 6:10 and the employees Marco and Tony both stated that they had had a bad day and were not going to replace our tire. We got the manager and she tried to convince them but said ultimately she could not make them replace our tire. This is the worst customer service ever. The basically said they were too lazy to do it and just wanted to go home because of their "hard day". Completely unacceptable. I love Sam's Club! However, Symphony Bank is who Sam's Club Credit Card is associated with and that is the Worst Bank that I've ever done business with. DONT GET A SAMS CLUB CREDIT CARD! The card I had was compromised. When I reported this, Symphony Bank cancelled the card. They recharged me for the previous month and the month in question without sending me a written statement then tried to deny me from closing the account. At this time, they still have it open and I cut that card up! I use a different credit card when shopping at Sam's Club. read more

I was already becoming disillusioned by the tactics of Sam's Club after they raised the curbside pick-up minimum order amount from $35. to $50. This was not too bad since my orders are usually closer to $100, BUT then they started to have less and less of the items needed on-hand, giving me the only option to SHIP me the items. Regardless of whether I spent $50 or $100+ in my cart, SAM'S CLUB would still charge me a shipping fee (for the items they did not have in-store) and they also charged me a PICK-UP fee because the remaining items in my cart were cents below $35. REMEMBER, I was forced to ship. Bottom line - SAM'S MANIPULATED ME TO PAY AN EXTRA $12 in fees just to receive my order. THAT IS BAIT AND SWITCH TO ME, OR EVEN FRAUD. IF this SHADY practice was not bad enough, this week, upon receipt of my SHIPPED cat food, the CONDITION WAS DEGUSTING AND TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I AM TALKING HEALTH DEPARTMENT DEGUSTING. I am not a big fan of shopping for necessities while on vacation or a weekend getaway but forgot a couple of things and decided to shop here during Black Friday and boy, was I surprised that it was not a nightmare! Easy parking & plenty of it. Store was laid out nicely and very clean. Was nice to take my time and look around without the hustle and bustle of holiday crowds (just normal shoppers). Found most of what I was looking for and was able to get in and out with ease. Employees were very friendly, efficient, and helpful as well. The snack bar where you get the pizza and the hotdog and a drink is the worst I've ever seen at any Sam's Club. I waited 25 minutes to get a slice of pizza and a hotdog which both were old the hotdog and drink combo had no sodas so after waiting 25 minutes I had a water because the CO2 was out. They have one person working the window that has no clue how to ring up the orders. Also, every time someone orders, she takes her gloves off to get the old hot dog, an old piece of pizza and then she rings it up and puts her gloves back on for the next customer so that is what is taking so long is the cashier would seem to be about 15 or 16 with no clue of customer service has to put her gloves on and off every time as she takes the order and then she puts gloves on to grab the order then she takes gloves off. It's just the biggest joke I've ever seen in my life. It would be different if the food was good, but it was old and nasty zero management at the snack bar area. read more

There is a terrible customer service experience over the phone. Some little girl kept putting me on hold for over 20 min, I had to keep calling back to try and get her from putting me straight to hold, I couldn't get 1 word in and waited 7 min each time on 3 different trys. I finally called Pharmacy and they answered and transferred me to someone that also had a terrible attitude, Never got to talk with a manager because I was sick of being on hold. Go shop COSTCO! They were short 2 pennies in my change. But instead of their corporation eating the 3 cents and giving me a nickel They made me eat it. The cashier even had the nerve to say, " two pennies isn't going to break your bank is it?" Like $0.03 would have broke Sam's club's bank anyways because they are a multi-billion dollar company. We have been going to this Sams Club for years! We love it. It's close, convenient, not claustrophobic like Costco, etc. In fact, we are there at least 2-3 times a week (we usually forget something from the prior visit). However, this last time we were treated very poorly at the receipt-check at the door. Part of it was our fault, we forgot to scan the water we had at the bottom of the cart. Nicole (blond middle-aged woman) brought it to our attention, but in the most offensive way. Her tone was as if we were intentionally trying to steal water. We awkwardly joked and said OMG, we totally forgot about it. She told us in a very stern (almost accusatory tone) to go back and pay for it. Of course we would do that. It was a mistake. So, embarrassingly we went back to self-check, paid, and went back to the exit. She stopped us and wanted to see the additional receipt. Then, she proceeded to tell us not to do that again. OMG, really?? We spend a fortune there and don't deserve to be treated like criminals for a mistake. I hope the general manager sees this comment and takes time out to retrain Nicole in her customer service soft-skills or reassign her to a non-customer facing role. read more

Sam's is by far the best over Costco. Their Pharmacy is excellent. If you have a Plus account, you get great discounts on RX - often more than my insurance and they tell you when it is cheaper. Never have to wait but a few minutes and the staff is great. The entire store is nice and the employees are "happy" The "scan and go" is wonderful. Scan your order and walk right to the check out at the door. Costco employees appear to be very unhappy. SO SAM'S Club for me. read more

So I went through check out this afternoon. The cashier unloaded items from my cart, scanned them then placed them on the counter and left them there. I paid, got handed my receipt and that was it. She then started scanning the next customers items placing them on the counter next to mine. I had to quickly pick up my items off the counter and place them in my cart. During all my past visits the cashier has always put my items back in my cart. If we are now responsible for unloading and reloading our items ( not at self check out) please tell me. I get to my truck and she has scanned my bottle of liquid laundry soap and just tossed it back in the cart on its side, cracking the lid and soap was leaking out. I worked my shift already today, I shouldn't have to go do a cashier job that I'm not getting paid to do. And to damage an item is unacceptable. Anyway, I'm sure no one gives a crap. read more

Who knew Sams and Walmart were related? I am a member of Costco and Sam's Club but to be honest I haven't been inside of Costco since I got a Sams membership lol! They do have hand sanitizer and all employees and patrons are wearing masks and social distancing as well.
