Today 5/15/26 I picked up a 2oz compound RX. Yesterday the pharmacist told me it was good for 21 days. When I got home with the compound RX it saids the end date for this RX is 5/20/26. The sate it was made is 4/14/26. I immediately called the pharmacist and now it tells me it is good for 6 months. I received two different answers from the same pharmacist. I would never deal with them again. I am afraid to use this $118 cream past 5/20/26. read more

I've got to say I'm disappointed. I lived in Houston and received my tri-mix medication from a local compounding pharmacy and was so impressed with HOW the medication was provided. Because of how HOT the climate was in Houston, the vials were provided in powder form and once received, we added the water and THEN the refrigeration was needed. I'm 120 degree weather, I'm handed an already prepared vial and I mini ice pac that's tossed in the bag and, not even fully frozen. It was thawed before I got home to Cat City. Come on Fireside! You can do better. Then that gets me to what you sent me home with. You put the liquid in a 5ml vial that was MAYBE 1/2 full... And for what you charge I used to get a large vial in TX. And they KNEW I needed syringes and alcohol wipes. You had to ASK at the counter? No discretion, nothing... The whole process just seemed unsettling and dirty. You included a QR code in the bag to provide a Google review that's not even valid! Was that by design? I just would like the whole process retooled. Let us reconstitute at home. Have a nice package all ready and prepared with the powder and water vials added upon arrival and send us off. Your process and lack of discretion is making me hunt for on line alternatives who seem to have a greater attention to detail and privacy practices in place. My doctor prescribed a compound mixture sent to Eisenhower hospital, so the doctor could give instruction how to inject the medicine once i received the medication so the next day when i was going to use the medication i discovered there was no medicine in the vile. So, have tried for a week now to talk the pharmacist and haven't yet returned my call. i very disappointed and angry at this point. i guess when they get their money they care about customer service. Once i finally resolve this issue i will find another pharmacy for medication. read more

I work in the healthcare field and my bio identical hormones were called into this pharmacy. 20 plus years ago this pharmacy was stellar. Now it is borderline dangerous. When filling my bio identical hormones that were to be straightforward hormones the pharmacist took upon themselves to add DHEA, melatonin , l Theanine and GABAPENTIN to my prescriptions. NONE of what was asked for by my provider. I had a TERRIBLE reaction to all of the added compounds the pharmacist took it upon themself to add. When I spoke to the pharmacist and shred the reaction ( server times) they dismissed my reaction and refused to make it correct. An important note is that Gabapentin is a prescription pharmaceutical with huge side effects. Initially I was told they added " gaba" which is a natural supplement, then learned it was Gabapentin. DO NOT TRUST THIS PHARMACY. AND IF YOU DO USE THEM PLEASE TRIPLE CHECK WHAT THEY PRESCRIBE TO YOU!!!! read more

I had a prescription filled here and went in to pick it up, once I left I realized they filled it for the wrong mg's. I called immediately, as the script was expensive and notified them of their error. They told me to bring it back the following business day and they would refund me. When I went back, they said they couldn't because it left the pharmacy. While I understand that if it was my mistake, the fill was in their error and they should have eaten the cost. I'll be moving my business to Ambrosia and advising my holistic doctor to suggest another vendor to their patients. read more

Fireside compounds prescriptions for dogs. Based upon my experience, do not trust in their competence. They recently made changes to my dog's prescription that caused him to experience the same symptoms he was being treated for. After two courses of antibiotics, I finally realized there might be something wrong with the medication. My vet recommended trying Wedgewood pharmacy and, after only one dose, he was markedly better. Wedgewood is mail order, which is not as simple as using a local pharmacy, but I received the new medication within 3 days and the ordering process was very simple. read more

Excellent staff. I'm prescribed a controlled substance that must be submitted as a new script each month (versus refills). Until I moved to Fireside, it was a hassle. Fireside works with me and is sure to order the medication in anticipation of my new monthly prescription. With other pharmacies, I experienced a lag time. One time the Pharmacist actually spoke to my Doctor when there was a shortage of my medication, so they could substitute an appropriate in-stock medication in a timely fashion. Another time, they coordinated with each other and me (what documents I had to provide) to authorize an early fill of the controlled drug prior to travel. I couldn't ask for more caring, personalized service. Now, I only use Fireside for all my prescriptions, even though my insurance pushes me to use their mail order service. It feels good to support a local independent pharmacy - especially now that the insurance companies have purchased conglomerate pharmacies and are trying to put the "mom and pop" pharmacies out of business. read more

Horrible business practice and it starts with the owner. Our insurance changed how they billed our prescriptions and he decided he would no longer bill our insurance and instead would require us to pay out of pocket. When questioned about why he would not bill our insurance anymore he became irate and began yelling. He has no concern for patients or his business. read more

I have had long Covid for over a year and a half. One of my doctors at UCLA's long Covid clinic prescribed a compounded medication. She sent the prescription to Fireside Pharmacy and I was somehow worried that it was going to be a problem to get the medication because of the reviews I read. I was shock and amazed of how professional and diligent the pharmacy staff is. As soon as they received the prescription they call me to tell me that the medication was ready. All of the staff couldn't be nicer and professional. I wish all pharmacies would treat me the way I was treated at Fireside Pharmacy. Waste of time and not worth the money. Not even worth one star. TLDR; They started asking for credit card info & charging before making the prescription. Then was told it was ready for pickup so went to pick it up....IT WASN'T EVEN MADE. I've been using this pharmacy for the last few years for my dog's prescription eye drops and I've always paid in store once it was ready for pickup. In the past, my mother's phone number was used to notify us when the prescription was ready but she is not reliable with reminders so I've REPEATEDLY provided my phone number as the point of contact. Every time I've called about the prescription, I'd still have to remind the staff to specifically call my phone number instead but the voicemail and text message continuously ended up on my mom's phone and these type of small things don't ever bother me. Until now. Yesterday, they said they needed my credit card info in order to fill the prescription *and then* the pharmacist would start making it. Apparently, they've had issues with other customers not picking up their medication so now they charge before making anything. I don't know when this started to become a policy and I should've listened to my gut that this was not going to work out but I gave my credit card info anyway cuz my dog needs his medication. I waited all day for a phone call from Fireside but never received one at all. Lo and behold, my mom texted me (late in the evening when they're already closed) that she had a voicemail from them saying the medication was ready for pick up. But when I went to pick it up this morning, IT DIDN'T EVEN EXIST. They hadn't even made the eye drops at all and the payment was already processed on my credit card! So are people really forgetting to pick up their medication or is it the staff's own incompetence and carelessness?! It takes a lot to disappoint me. I work in service so I'm usually understanding and I would rather not raise hell. But the incompetence speaks for itself. This place has always been underwhelming and they just further proved that they are a waste of time and money. Luckily, my vet has recommended another compounding pharmacy to replace this mess. read more

My doctor faxed in my prescription to Fireside Pharmacy after my visit. I called them to verify my prescription and they told me that my prescription will be ready in 10-15 minutes. As I get there, I was greeted by Kris. She is very professional, did not waste any time in getting my prescription expedited. She was very friendly and helpful and she went above and beyond by making sure that one of my prescription stayed cold until I got home. Jane answered some of my questions. Fireside is brimming with staff however they are not very organized. They need a better system for customer service. For instance, I was asked if I would like a text when my order was ready. I said yes, and waited 3 days and nothing. When I called, the order had been ready, but no text. I asked then for my meds to be delivered - this was 9 a.m. - I had been out for 2 days and couldn't make it for pickup. I waited till 3 and still no meds. I called again and was told they were out for delivery by 5:30 p.m. At 5:30 I reached out to the driver and he said he couldn't make it, and I would have them by 10 a.m. the following day. Still no meds by noon. They finally arrived around 1. This is frustrating because when I run out I don't feel great, and it's best to keep my levels stable. If Fireside could just adopt an automated communication system ( this is 2024!) via text messaging it would save them and their clients oodles of frustration, and diminished jamming of their phone lines. Everyone would be much happier. How's this: the pharmacist completes the order, then hits a button on his/her computer and a text is generated - or an automated phone call. Prior to the driver leaving he/she texts the list of customers with a 4 hour window saying the order is on its way. Fewer follow up call and holds, and looking for orders, and chaos. Easy peazy. Systems are a great thing people. read more
