Wish I could give zero stars, but I guess that's not possible I went and bought a pack of cigarettes for a friend of mine and somehow between there in my car, they fell down in the parking lot so I came back to look for them and she made me stand there for like 15 minutes while they reviewed the camera and said I walked out with them and as I was walking out a gentleman customer said oh they're right here and handed them to me so I walked back in with a new pack that I bought for my friend and the girl says I didn't give you the receipt so you don't have a receipt and I can't take them back and I said I literally walked out of here 10 seconds ago and she said I can't do that with cigarettes sealed brand new cigarettes. I wasn't trying to sell her give her back the old pack I was trying to give her back the brand new pack that I had just bought literally within the last 30 seconds very very, very bad service .. bad attitude!!!! Unfriendly .. and her helper the other girl pretty sure her name is Jackie because I used to have the displeasure of working with her somewhere else years ago made fun of me and said the girls name out loud Rosie when I mentioned that I was going to mention this on yelp I mean you have one and a half stars on yelp I guess the reason for that is very clear thanks read more

It's nice to see the pharmacy is finally getting called out for its legion of poor behavior and conduct. The last time I was there, a pharmacy tech purposely yet very subtly started a shouting war between two customers for simply following her directions. She looked quite amused and pleased with herself for passing her drama onto others successfully, then stood behind the counter and watched the horror unfold... and did nothing about it. I'm uncertain as to whether this is institutional disfunction or local mismanagement. Either way, I'll not be back unless no suitable option exists. read more

So I'm in beautiful Palm Desert/Palm Springs with family and friends as we do frequently. We have a Physician who is always with us and I personally have worked in the Medical/Pharmaceutical Industry for 2 decades now. Earlier today I told the doc that I needed a Rx called in and he said "No problem, but I just want to warn you that this is the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with." I said "Common how bad could it be?" I was in the room right next to him as he was speaking with the pharmacy and telling them the Rx. I went to go pick it up along with a refill that I submitted. When I got there and went to the window asked her(Tech) for my Rx she said "No one called in your Rx and there was INS issue with the other refill." I told her that was factually incorrect and to submit the refill(I knew she was lying, because I've delt with this before). Pharmacy techs at Walgreens regularly DELETE Rx's just because they're busy and don't want to fill them. When I say DELETE I mean DELETE, not put back in your file to be filled later. In my career I have delt with 100's of pharmacy's and have a deep understanding of how an Rx is filled from the manufacturer to the patient. She processed the INS like I said it went right through. I then asked for the other Rx that was called in and her exact response was "I DON'T CARE SIT DOWN!!!." I did wait for about 10 minutes as I had the DELTED Rx called back in by our Physician. After waiting for a little bit I then came back up to ask the status of the Rx and to document her name so that I could report her. What she did next was unbelievable!!! Her exact response was "I'M GOING TO SUE YOU!!!". I want to make a note that the pharmacist was pleasant/nice and asked her tech what she was doing. I'm shocked she tolerated this behavior by her techs. The techs were clearly running the show here. I ended up walking out without any of the meds. The reason for these meds were 2 people in our party were seriously ill with a respiratory infection(the prior day one of them passed out on the side of the road coughing so hard that she couldn't breathe(Hypoxia). I was developing the same symptoms and wanted to start treatment immediately. Sadly this was not possible because of the LAZINESS and EGO of a disgruntled pharmacy tech. Having read and seen the ratings of this Walgreens its crystal clear that they couldn't care less. However, Walgreens if you actually read this(highly unlikely) and decide to take action(even more unlikely) to correct your clearly problematic store(It's never too late). I went here to try printing some pictures. They have a beautiful setup for it. The store is huge. A little bit of something for everyone. I love their seasonal displays. The place was very clean and shelves are kept neat and tidy. A great place yo shop. read more

0- Stars Horrible customer service experience at this pharmacy. The pharmacy staff treated me with blatant disrespect right off the bat. (I can't speak for the Walgreens store employees as I didn't interact with them at all.) The pharmacist did everything he could to make my life more difficult rather than help me in any possible way he could. 100% do not recommend. ‍ I'm personally done with Walgreens lol I'll take my money to a pharmacy that cares about their customers. read more

Staff is always friendly and greets you at the door. The store is clean and well stocked. I use this place to also pickup FEDEX and Labcorp. Labcorp is different than Walgreens, so if anyone has gripes with Labcorp, it's a different business. The Pharmacy is really good too. Granted it can get busy, so patience is required. This location is a great thing to have in our neighborhood. read more

Holy Jesus what a shitshow this whole place is. Spent over two years at this Walgreens getting my prescriptions before I finally switched to the Walgreen's on Dinah Shore. Long lines at the pharmacy caused only by the pharmacist's incompetence and missing prescriptions they say are filled are all you should expect from this place. The storage itself is also nothing worthwhile, every item here is constantly out of stock, I have never found anything I was looking for here down to sodas. Employees are also rude and demeaning especially to elderly people. I had to step in and get confrontational with an employee once for basically verbally abusing my grandmother and treating her like an idiot. read more

Worst customer service!!! Took 3 rings on photo counter to get assistance. Finally someone came over and was so blatantly rude when we asked for something that they no longer provided, which is caught me off guard since it was available very recently. He kept rudely repeating himself and not explaining when I asked more questions. I was immediately put on the defensive because of his tone and actions. He repeated himself again, even though I was asking a different question. He should not be dealing with customers. I was clearly frustrated that he wasn't hearing me and decided to leave but he continued to holler at me as I walked out! Seriously???? NEVER AGAIN read more

Horrible service in pharmacy. Waited over 20 minutes in line for a prescription that my Dr called in they didn't have it. Came back the next day 20 hours later waited in a huge line and they still didn't have it and she told me to go to the back of the line again?! Extremely inappropriate. read more

My experience with the Walgreens at Hwy 111 and Monterey In Palm Desert has been exceptional for the last year and a half close by. For beginners, they let me shop riding my mobility scooter, and I have knocked a few things over at times. Today is a good example. Jo-Ann helped me choose a skin product for face cleansing. Then she helped me with reading glasses. After that, we went over to paper towels to pick out one from the many choices available. As I checked out, the manager, Mike, came over to say hello and make sure everything was okay. Frequently, I have photos sent my computer to pick up at Walgreens the next day. They are always ready and the count per photo is accurate. I have read the negative reviews on Yelp of this store. I disagree heartedly. Alan read more

The pharmacy staff are very nice, but I have never been able to get through on a phone call. The phone rings, you get put on hold, and it rings again until they disconnect you. You have to go down there and wait in line to ask a question. I can only assume they are badly understaffed. read more

Waited three days for prescription updates. Got out on hold for over an hour and disconnected on day two. Called 4 times over the span of 3 hours the third day and was hung up on immediately everytime without even someone asking for my name. Had to speak with another store representative to get helped. Spoke to one pharmacy tech whom was kind but the phone was then taken away from her by a woman named Denay (spelling?) whom yelled at and insulted me about if I should be taking my medications whom I went to an ER AND my general physician for. I would like to preface the rest of this review with the fact that this has been my pharmacy for over 5 years and NEVER have I been so mistreated. The store manager Steve has done what he can to resolve the issue for me today however I do urge anyone and everyone who possibly can to stay completely away from this pharmacy until the company is able to better support Steve with staffing and training. The store is always very busy and understandably there can sometimes be a wait time. Pharmacy techs putting you on hold I can deal with as long as I get helped eventually. "Getting to calls As fast as possible" does not include hanging up on people before they can even be out on hold. In addition if they had questions or concerns about my prescriptions they could have asked or called me rather than making me wait 72 hours to then get harassed and berated by one of theyr employees. As someone who works as a retail store manager I've experienced excruciatingly long days during holidays with extreme customers. Never would I speak to or deal with anyone whom I KNOW FOR A FACT IS ILL the way I was spoken to or treated today. I was left in tears with the store manager whom still had to rush me off the phone because the Walgreens company does not provide enough store support to these people. Normally is go down there and just check on a prescription refill if I think they're too busy to answer phones but I am incapable of those luxuries at this time and am relying on phones and help with transport for my medical care so I can get better. read more

I had the most unpleasant and disturbing interaction with Kevin while dropping off aFed Ex package. I entered the store and acknowledged Kevin with a pleasant good morning and he was very snarky with saying good morning in return. I didn't think much of it I went to the Fed Ex counter and he came over and I said I have the label, I wasn't sure of the label placement, and he said just put it on the box. I said you didn't have to be rude and he said I told you to put it any where on the box with an elevated tone. I will be escalating a complaint to Walgreen cooperate as well as Fed Ex if you are having a bad day then stay at home. I didn't come to Walgreen to be attacked with attitude. I'm changing pharmacies to CVS. I have HAD IT with this pharmacy!! I went 5 times to the pharmacy this past week and each time the pharmacy was closed or randomly closed. I went back again today and was told my prescription wasn't ready. All I can say is that I have NEVER had similar problems with CVS or RITEAID. There's something seriously wrong with this pharmacy and whoever is managing it. Maybe I have just had the worst luck with this pharmacy - I guess that's possible but I don't understand when the pharmacy randomly closes (because it's slow) when it's supposed to be open. read more

I wish we could select ZERO stars!! Went to this STUPID Walgreens for a Covid/Flu test after scheduling it online...so I had an appt for two people. We show up and they have ZERO covid/flu tests in stock! No one notified us of this despite the fact that I submitted ALL my info when scheduling the appt. NO apology; NO one offering to help us find a different location. Just a DUMB look for the DUMB guy on the other side of the counter. INEPTNESS is the new norm people... BTW, I had also scheduled future appts for this week, and received confirmations for all... So much for being responsible!! One more thing I should share. I used to get my mom's prescriptions filled at this Pharmacy, and 3 years ago, we were missing some Xanax after picking up the prescription, so on all future visits I had them count them out before taking them home. As I was doing that on one specific occasion, another woman in line heard me and said, "oh yes, they steal drugs here." Be on the lookout!!! read more

Walgreens is the worst pharmacy that you could ever get your prescription sent to. I had my prescription sent to the corner of dinosaur and Bob Hope. I went in only to find that they were closed for four days but I needed my prescription right away. I called another Walgreens on Monterey and Highway 111 and they said they could transfer my prescription there. My husband went to pick it up later and it wasn't even ready. They had a whole day prior to have it ready. I will never have prescriptions sent to Walgreens. I had better service and results at Ralph's pharmacy in Palm Springs. read more

WORST SERVICE OF ANY PHARMACY EVER!!! I'm writing this as I am hold (going on 35 minutes)!!!!! They keep picking up the line, then putting me on hold again with their awful music. I had to fight with them to give me my prescription last night even though my insurance and doctor told me it's approved !! It is an injectable medication and they forgot the pin needles. Now I'm going on 24 hours with out the medicine I need. My doctor said that they called them and sent an approval for them, but apparently they're not ready!!!!! After I post this , I'm going to drive over there and talk to them face to face ! That will probably take another hour out of my life! AND , last night the gal had the nerve to ask me to do their survey and give her a good review. I wait in drive through for AN HOUR and when I get to the front, the new female employee rudely told me to come back in an hour! She should be FIRED!! She literally started screaming at me *** Update: I used Labcor located inside the store on 9/19/23 and this review is for Labcor: Check in process on scummy public screen that was glitchy. Super crowded with very little seating. The inside of the blood draw office was chaotic! There was an old man who used the restroom, but didn't know how to exit so he just stood over me (who knows what diseases he had), no body took the effort to walk him outside. There was a screaming baby, which I understand, but there was only ONE phlebotomist working and they were attending to me. They could have waited until I was done, like they do in their other locations. Worst of all was the skill set of the phlebotomist! I told her that my veins in my arms are hard to find and that I required a butterfly needle on the back of my hand. She ignored me and painfully inserted the needle. It was a very painful blood draw (which it should not be) before my vein exploded! OUCH! Very painful. She then got the butterfly and painfully injected the needle in my hand. Again, very painful. I have a huge bruise on my arm that hurts. I have a lot of experience with blood drawing and I have never in my life had a more painful and unsanitary experience. Don't go to Walgreens for LabCorp go to one of their other locations. read more

I was on hold for over an hour only to find out the pharmacy had been closed while I was on hold. I wasn't told. Just left on the line for me to discover it was closed while I had been told to wait. Some of the rudest & worst workers are at this Walgreens on Monterrey & Hwy 111. They should all be fired. Get a new staff at the pharmacy!!!! read more

I recently pulled a muscle in my back and was in excruciating pain. My Dr prescribed me some meds to help. I arrived to pick up my prescription and was told it would be another 45 mins. I left and went home and came back a hour later. I was then told their computer system was down and I had to wait about 2 hours. I was so frustrated because of how much pain and discomfort I was in. I received a text that my meds were ready for pick up 3 hours later. I come to the drive thru and wait in line. By the time I get to the window I'm told the drive thru is closed and I have to come inside. Come on Walgreens!! I go inside and wait in line another 30 mins. The customer service here is the worse! Avoid this pharmacy because they do not care about their customers! read more

So, the Pharmacy staff is finally answering the phone....only to tell you "please hold". After 20+ minutes, they disconnect the call.

After being a 30 year customer at walgreens for all my pharmacy needs.....I'M DONE!! This particular store has become the worst to deal with. I cant get my scripts most of the time because they close without warning and the hours now fluctuate daily. And if I do go to pick up its 30 to 1hr wait. They say script is ready on my app., but when I get there after waiting forever...its not ready. They screw up and cancel refills and never answer the phone. This use to be a 24 hr store which is a must in emergency situations after hospital discharge for important meds. I've given them months to get their act together to no avail. I beliveve this obviously falls on corporate!! Either they do not pay their employees enough or are not a good company to work for any longer because it seems they do not have enough staff and the staff they have are very unhappy and burnt out. It's a circus every time I go there. Every customer in front of me is angry and dealing with the same issues. I will be leaving walgreens and transferring all my scripts to a new pharmacy today. If I could give negative stars.....I would! If you need a prescription, or need to talk with anyone in the pharmacy, this place is not for you!! I love my Walgreens, at home in WA, but this place absolutely sucks!! Filling any kind of prescription at this Walgreen's,...it's a blood sport! You try to call, and get the status on your prescription, but you can NEVER get through to anyone! So then....you have to drive in. When you get to the pharmacy your prescription is NEVER ready. Then they ask if you want to wait....okay. You wait, and wait...then get back in the queue, and sometimes it's ready. The prescriptions are only ready after.....trying to call, after trying their app, after multiple in person visits...do you get your prescription. Unfriendly staff! Cranky pharmacist.....yikes folks!! The worst!! I'm in the process of finding a new pharmacy in the Palm Desert/Rancho Mirage area. read more

Zero stars. Rude staff. Was denied access to a restroom and denied my medications after they closed multiple locations without warning and with zero compassion or customer service. DO NOT use this pharmacy. You will wait ridiculous times only to be treated like garbage. Is 10 :09 pm I went to the doc early am cuz I was feeling really sick I got out of there like 10:30 am;since 2 in the afternoon I had been calling to see if my prescription is ready and unfortunately is not I just came back from the store a few minutes ago ,turns out that only the store is 24/7 not the pharmacy but this is not specify in their web site ! I had to walk 1/2 an hr to get there and the same coming back and will have to do that tomorrow too hopefully by a great miracle they will have my prescription ready I hope !
