We purchased a water dispensing system but to our dismay when we got home and opened it up, It appeared as though someone bashed it all in with a bat. I am so disappointed after the so-so customer service experience. They are grossly understaffed and hardly anyone was available to help out on the floor then all that money spent on something I needed to get but it's unusable. Then they closed 19 minutes before I made it back home. What a horrible way to close the night. Thanks Wal-Mart Sams Club for all the bullshit. They check to see if you stealing but don't bother checking if their products are even any good. read more

I was a member here for years but decided not to join again. I don't buy in bulk anymore so it wasn't necessary. I would recommend a membership of you do need bulk items but even then you have to know your pricing to know if your getting a good deal or not. Sometimes you can get the same item at Walmart for the same price just not in multiple packaging. It's a very large store too so you put on the miles getting your stuff. Great food samples though on the weekends. read more

This is the first Sam's Club I've been in so I don't have much to compare it to except for Costco back home. Like all bulk warehouses, they have pretty much everything that you need but the selection of brands/varieties is sparse and you're going to be getting a whole lot of whatever you choose to buy. On my first day in Rochester, I stopped in to get added under my dad's membership and they were able to add me, take my picture, and print out my membership card within 5 minutes. A couple days later, we stopped by to get an office chair for my New Life as a Medical Student and I picked out a Herman Miller knockoff chair that looked pretty snazzy with a leather seat and chrome hardware (only $99!). When we brought it home, we found out that the chrome parts of the leg had rusted so we just threw the box and all the parts back into the car, drove back to Sam's Club, transferred it all to a cart, and they let us exchange it for another chair without any hassle. I also like that the bulk sizes they carry are slightly more manageable than at most Costco's I've been to (e.g.: they offer 3 lb. boxes of grapes instead of 4 lbs.; 3 cartons of spreadable cheese instead of 6; 4 regular-sized boxes of spaghetti instead of 6 lbs at once). Great place for a single person/couple/family to stock up on staples! read more

The optical department is soooooooo slowwwwwwww!!! My sons appointment took over an hour and that was opting out of the dialation drops. They gave him trial contacts. After he tried them I called to get the prescription. Was told to come in. I signed something and was told that after the dr signed off we could get the prescription. They then called me later and said they could order them. I was called when they came in. I have stopped by there 3 times already and still don't have the contacts. They are always with other customers!!! I will never go here again! read more
