Shopping here can be really hard because it is always super busy. Sometimes it is hard to find parking too. The best part about having the app is that you can scan and go and keep track of what you are buying. It also means that you can avoid the dreaded long lines. Every since I got the app, I can quickly go in and out. We do love stopping at the food court. They also have super long lines but you can order ahead on the app. The food is super cheap and yummy. Overall we have found really good deals on items at this store. Using the app will make the experience so much better. Their gas prices are amazing too read more

I had an Egift card from Sam's club that was a reimbursement for a pair of eye glasses purchased from Sam's club. I had used the egift card several times when it was not being any longer accepted. The store employee said it was being declined because the balance of the card was 0$ . I had just used the card a week before and the receipt said there was $176 balance after that purchase. After speaking with the store manager and several phone reps for Sam's it was determined that someone in Texas made an online purchase using my club membership and my egift card to drain my card of the $176. Sam's clus said there was nothing they could do and I am out the $176. Seems to me that this was Sam's clubs fault for not verifying the fraudulent purchase How someone got my Sam's club membership number, my egift card number and the pin required to use the card could not be explained. I'm a Costco customer, have been ever since my first child which has been nearly 15 years now. I often find my green with envy over the Sam's Club photos posted on Yelp, especially of the sushi pictures. Well, as of today, I no longer have to be jealous. I'm official a member. Do I get a "Members Only" jacket now??? LOL The sole reason I joined, as I'm still a Costco member too, is because it was Free. And who doesn't like Free?? They send out a coupon in our local Valupak for a Free $45 Gift Card, when you purchased a $45 membership. That's a deal in my book, and reason enough for me to sign up. Ethan, the member employee was friendly and quick signing me and my hubby up for a joint membership (even though he wasn't with me at the time). He gave me my temporary paper membership and my $45 Gift Card and I was off exploring a new wear house. I'll be honest, I wasn't too overly impressed or excited about anything they carried. Nothing grabbed my attention bother than the gallons of milk, which were only $2.22, and I did purchase 3 at that low price. I love the sushi platters they have, and the great variety and low prices. I did not grab any today but most certainly will in the future, either for parties or just for a appetizers before dinner. Some things seems better than Costco and some things didn't. We've had their fresh made chicken pot pie in the past and I will say, it was really quite good. Cheese prices were great and in line with Costco. Sam's had a few more options I am looking forward to trying. I didn't browse the liquor, beer or wine, but plan on it next visit. Overall, I'm glad I joined and am certain I'll visit often in the next year. I'm happy that I was able to finally join- and at no cost either. That's a great deal! Checks out was very quick. I wasn't overly wowed by anything and for my first real visit it was just a 3, but Ethan bumped it to a 4 for me. I will say this- I love the food court for their giant soft pretzels, frozen Icees and frozen soft serve yogurt. At $1 each I'll never pass up these deals when I come. Whoever runs the store needs to open their eyes, never saw so much laziness in my life so many people standing around doing nothing I count at seven people standing around by the cash registers by one person was running the food court why can't anybody help this poor girl and by the time we got up there 10 minutes later, we were going to grab an ice cream and she says the ice cream machine is down. So why can't any of those lazy people that are standing around doing nothing make a sign up also was walking around the store. I can't believe how much empty product is in this facility. I go to Costco and everything is full. If they don't have anything, they put something else. I never saw so much laziness in the store this store has potential. Our health and well being is NOT a priority to this company. I have a severe case of PTSD along with other INVISIBLE health issues that make me 9 times more likely to die from covid and the person at the door didn't care and got right in my space running her mouth so more vapor exited her body to encourage disease. Secondly, people with PTSD or Complex PTSD, to be more clear, cannot be over stimulated so the energy it takes to shop and pay are enough and the clog of people at the door which I call a fire hazard is NO PLACE for someone with these health issues. Too many people, too much noise, not enough space, children unattended so I exit to comply with the American Disability Act and I hope Sams can learn the law before yelling about getting in my face during a global pandemic. This review is for Utica location only. This store is managed very very poorly. Yesterday I watched a sample server start screaming at a customer for no apparent reason. On the way out we noticed the cafe had only one employee working the counter, while 20 people waited in line forever. Ironically I watched several people just stand around all over the store, meanwhile this cafe employee is unable to keep up while Sams club upsets customers. Then, early this am I ordered a TV. The unit is in stock yet they can't pull it for days. Told me I can either pull the stock myself, or wait till the decide to do it. DO NOT COME HERE FOR TIRES OR ANY MECHANICAL WORK. The purchasing of the tires was great. However the installation was a mess. They have a team of 3 people that can't put one tire correctly. What was an appointment that should have taken 45min to 1 hour resulted in a 2 hour ordeal, because the incompetence of the workers that put tires backwards, and just stood there on their phones laughing and fooling around instead of correcting the job. I am giving this location 4 stars because of their product availability. I never have an issue finding what I need here. If I see something online it's common I can also find it in the store. Their customer service is average. I usually get lucky with their guest services representative and cashiers who are typically very helpful which is not always so common at a big box store. Purchased a patio set from Sams online. Had a delivery date scheduled thru THEIR choice of freight service, Pilot freight. If you are having something delivered from Sams and they are using this Pilot Freight, good luck getting your products. They have over 100 1 star reviews. Sams continues to utilize this service even though they are well aware of their problems and customer service. We have yet to get our patio set that was scheduled to be delivered on the 12th (today is the 22) When Pilot decides to answer their phone, which is 1 out of 100 calls... they have no idea where or when your product is, or be delivered. It's ridiculous. Sams is getting this review as they chosen this freight service and have dozens of complaints regarding incompetence and non delivery, yet continue to utilize them. Sams customer service was almost as bad as they could not get ahold of Pilot and had no tracking information on the set. Busy busy busy for a Friday so easy to drop $200 but economical for getting BBQ supplies together all at one location. I've had great deals on soft fresh buns, with the pork spare ribs and baby backs. 3 racks per bag fairly lean 1.99 to 2.88 per lb. $20-25 of goodness in about 2 hours @ 200 degrees. I use a dry rub in a bag. So easy a caveman did it. I'm living proof. Grrr grunt grunt. read more

Received full membership just two days ago thanks to a military mother behind the Service desk who explained the deference. It was a "no brainer"! Also, after hearing my "very serious suggestion :) " about placing artificial turf on the very large open space in front of the Service area for old men like myself in order to practice our putting. she said she could not possibly make such a suggestion to management. I asked why not? She answered with a great sense of humor---".Well, First, according to Civil Rights laws in the U.S. we would have to include women, who immediately would beat the hell out of you, Second, there would such a crowd that it would create a fire problem, and Third, you old bastards can't drive these carts any where near as well as a women. In fact they should ban all you from driving them at all and instead assign you a you a women driver to take you to where ever you want to go!." I thanked her for the wonderful welcome to Sams club and asked her if all the women who work here are as intelligent as she is and she said "Yes" and the only reason we allow men to work here is because we have to!. I told her I would never ask a question again in this store and quickly drove away. To my amazement, I found the floors so clean you could eat off them. I saw it was the men doing the work and the store was so organized it looked light a huge millatary operation. You cannot make a mistake even if you tried. I have never seen such a humongous inventory like this and now know why there are always so many helicopters in the Utica area. However, I do have one complaint and it is a serious one. Upon leaving the store you have another checkpoint. I was amazed to learn that management ( all the brilliant Harvard grads) has decided to let go anyone caught shoplifting! No name, no arrest, no nothing! I worked many years ago in Security for the J.L. Hudson Co. and with the Harper Woods Police Dept. They were here within seconds, arrests were made, and off to court we went. All you need here is to let these thugs out the door, have a Utica Police car waiting at the exit, and word would get out on the street so fast that this "problem" would end instantly. So Sams is asking for this "problem" and its not your workers fault, they must do what their told to do or else. And since they all seem to be women they all know how stupid this is but can't say anything. All of your workers are the best I have ever seen and they all are proud and happy to be working here. I will now be a regular shopper here at Sams. Not just because I am only 39 (forty years in a row) and a few miles away doesn't mean I am only here because of all the women who work here. Don't know why some people have a problem with this store. I have been a member since 2001 and have done most of my shopping here even though I live closer to the one in Roseville. I have always found the staff to be more than helpful and the shelves are always stocked quite well with their products. I recently purchased some fertilizer from here (50lbs.) and when I took it out to my truck, a young man (an employee) came up and loaded it into the back for me without even being asked (I'm 72 yrs. old). When I offered him a tip he refused and said he was just doing his job and was glad he could help. Now that's "customer service"!!! read more

They agreed , when I arrived about 30min later I was told my held item had been sold by another associate to one of there customers. What a complete waste of time and my gas. This is a good Sam's Club. It is very organized and clean. My ONLY complaint is no matter what time you get there, it's a line at checkout.

My family has shopped here for years. We have another warehouse club membership but still keep this membership as their meats, produce and special occasions cakes are the best. I used to like the cakes from the other place but Sam's Club cakes beat the other warehouse by a mile. You can still get the whipped cream frosting, which my family likes the best. We get great vitamins and other personal care products plus 91% isopropyl alcohol instead of the 70% that is offered by the other club. We will continue to keep our membership here for all the great deals we receive and items we can't get elsewhere. The Member's Mark brand is one of the best. We don't wait in line as we can check out ourselves unlike the other warehouse where you are waiting in line forever. read more

This is for the optical. Loved the optometrist , even the assistant when I got eyes checked was nice. I had no expectation that anyone would actually call me when my glasses arrived so I stopped in two days after due date and glasses were there but not "checked in". Always used Costco up till I heard about a special $8.00 membership deal at SAM's Club. I stood in line for 25 min to basically hand them $8.00.. Then was pushed repeatedly to open up a charge. I repeatedly said NO! Just want the advertised $8.00 membership deal please. That resorted in the download of.. what has to be the worlds worst phone app. It constantly glitched out as I was just trying to put address and pay information causing Me to repeatedly having to restart the entire process. I build P.C's and do computer coding.. This App was the poorest excuse for a phone App in "Design" that I have ever seen. Like when Your entering credit card information "should NOT BE the exact time it gets all wanly and glitchy.. I have been a member for 15 years. How can a company that was so innovative be so poorly run currently. Their prices are rarely competitive for a membership of $100. My expectation is for every price to be lower then every other store. This is what I thought my hundred dollars covered. It doesn't. They are constantly deleting products. You stand in long lines.
