I needed cupcakes for an event and learned something that I think Sam's Club should improve. I noticed that you can place cake and cupcake orders through the Sam's Club website and app, which is very convenient. However, what wasn't clear to me is that cupcake orders are not customizable the way cake orders are. When ordering a cake, you can choose colors, decorations, and personalize it. With cupcakes, what you see in the photo is exactly what you get. There doesn't appear to be an option to change the colors, decorations, or customize them for your event. Because I assumed the cupcake ordering process would be similar to the cake ordering process, I ended up missing the ordering deadline. I believe cupcakes require at least a 24-hour notice, and by the time I realized customization wasn't available online, it was too late. I ended up going into the bakery and purchasing cupcakes that were already available. They were fine, but they weren't decorated the way I had wanted for my event. My suggestion to Sam's Club would be to either allow cupcake customization online like they do with cakes or make it much clearer during the ordering process that cupcake designs cannot be modified. It would save customers a lot of confusion and disappointment. read more

SCAN AND GO DID NOT WORK , I did not have my wallet and only my app payment information and also apple pay (they don't use any tap to pay) . Will not be returning, store was a nightmare . Pro's: You can get the best deal on gasoline for your car at Sam's club. Typically twenty cents cheaper than any random fill up spot. Another very recent discovery, if you download the scan and go app you get special deals on some merchandise that is not offered when you check out at the register. To reiterate, you the customer scan all the items in your cart, you pay for it on your app, and you do not have to go through the long check out lines. Con's: Parking lot is a freaking zoo. Always. I haven't read through most of the reviews here on Yelp for Sam's Club, but why are most people giving it a two? Many are complaining about customer service. What kind of freaking service are you looking for? If it goes further then what aisle is xyz product in you should maybe check yourself. You are at a deep discount store not a country club. I went to the optical department to replace a pair of glasses that I had lost. I purchased my glasses at Sam's club about two years ago and was hoping to use my old prescription but they told me that it was only good for one year, and it had expired, What!!! They insisted I take an eye test with them. Reluctantly I agreed, but when it came time for the test they wanted me to fill out a form that listed all my medical history. Why??? Its just an eye test! She said I'm a doctor and need to know. I am fearful to give my private information to just anyone. I'm sorry but it's none of their business! I admit it! I'm a shopaholics! Something that is very hard for me to admit. Well....Sam's Club is one of those places that satisfies that itch. Even though things are sold in bulk, it makes sense for my household. Toilet tissue, paper towels, bread are some of the things that are a great buy and I don't have to worry about running out every week. They carry great buys on TV'S, and all kind of electronics. I always buy my cell phone from Sam's, when they run a special, plus they give me a great gift card to spend at their store. ( They send flyers out to members for the monthly specials). Recently discovered that they make great copies of pictures and flyers at a great price. (Took the pictures right off my phone). I mostly go to Sam's for the food, pastries and paper goods. And don't forget about their food court! It's nothing fancy, but the food (hot dogs, pizza, pretzels, frozen yogurt etc. are great buys plus has the nerve to be good! I love the hot dogs and soda deal (only $1.50). Plus they give out great samples as you're shopping :) The gas prices are always a little less than other places too! So much I can say about this place! Only downside is, everything is so big. So if your not giving a party or know how you're going to store it go to a regular supermarket. I went to Sam's club last weekend the day before thanksgiving with my grandmother and when we went there looking for the apple pie they said that it would take 4 hours to bake all we saw was pumpkin pie and sweet potato pies. This store used to be our favorite go to store to shop because they had everything we needed. I mean when we go to BJ's there are always plenty of apple pies there no problem. I want the people who work at Sam's club to make sure that they have baked plenty of apple pies because it's everyone's favorite during the holidays they are trying to persuade everyone to buy pumpkin pie and not everyone likes it. I am going to rate them a 1 star. I found it completely unacceptable that they didn't have enough apple pies. read more

I love the gas prices and Im also happy that it is opens early because I dont have time during the day to get gas and im not wasting my lunch break to fill up my tank. They always have the best price for gas and I don't go anywhere else. Food wise the prices are reasonable and the place is pretty clean in my book. The only down fall is that we have to wait it long lines and the self check out line isn't as easy as other stores. Sometimes the machine works and sometimes you have to select a different card. Overall the self checkout should be easier and also faster. I come here all the time for when my family has parties we get a lot for our money so thats why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 because the quality of clothes, food, electronics, etc are really good compared to other places. Not sure where to start. I've been to this location many times as I used to live down the street. I saw an employee peeing on the shopping carts bc I'm guessing walking inside was too much work. Customer service is just not very pleasant. Workers don't seem to enjoy working there and seem bothered if a customer asks a question or needs help. They are not helpful. Store is dirty and not organized. The tire center workers (except Jill) are rude and don't follow through. I never get calls back and the line and wait are always long. They leave carts piled up in the cart return area. A friend of mine had a cart roll away from high winds and hit his car denting it. Now that I don't live in the area and after going to Costco it's a night and day difference. read more

Been out all day to different locations that sell Group 78 car batteries. Everyone that was tested with my or their tester all showed results that said the battery need be replaced. When we went to Sams Club to check out their Duracell brand batteries , took in my $300 tester, NO one was in the department until AFTER we had already tested 2 of their batteries on the shelf and they were showing in TOTAL FAILURE, when an associate came up and said "we cannot test the batteries". We said fine, find us a good battery. So this wimp picked up of one of the batteries we just tested and we tried to stop him as it already failed the test, and he should take another off the shelf. HE IGNORED US and took this already tested battery to the garage area. All this WIMP did was call the store manager or "acting" store manager to come over. Well this manager couldn't believe that HIS batteries were failing SO we did another test in front of him, hiding nothing, to see first hand and showed him the results in the window that I also was able to PRINT OUT and left it with him. He no longer was interested in helping us out. Fine, we will take our money elsewhere. read more

After making an appointment for tire installation (4 pm latest they have), I was forced to wait but they took away the tire waiting room. I found myself having to sit at the unsanitary cafes trash filled tables while the customers Jockeyed for checkout positions. My arms are still sticky. So much for getting work done. If the staff doesn't care enough to clean, the customer sure won't. The tire department could only get 3 of my 4 tires off because of rounded lug nuts they say. Somehow they missed that I have a lug nut caps, so the one they couldn't get off they rounded the lug not into the Lugnut. Comes off easy with a pair of vise grips and or commonsense before you begin. Not much credibility for the tire department. Glad I got the $80 rebate on tires or this wouldn't be worth it since it took about two hours for 3 tires to be replaced. Never going back!!!! read more

Employees are extremely rude and do not want to be at work. The lines are always ridiculous. I have never stood in line for less than 5 minutes. ever. I literally stood in line behind 9 customers! There were only 2 cashiers available and my line of 9 was the shorter line! First time going to Sam's Club out of state. Nothing was anything different though. I generally love going to these types of stores for their prices and bulk of products. The gas prices are very reasonable. They carry a wide variety of food, furniture, and utilities. The store is huge and is very clean. Depending on the day you go the lines can get pretty long. Those are usually weekends. I went on a Monday evening and it was super short. The cafeteria is nice and serves great food. I love how much they offer to the members of the store. From eye care to photo development they have it all. I love Sam's Club in general and it was a nice experience coming here in Pennsylvania. read more

I'm always geeked to go into Sam's Club. The samples, if anything, should make you happy. This Sam's Club is well organized and always adequately stocked. There's a large variety of things to purchase at a great price. If you plan to have a large event, this place will surely meet your needs. They have a lovely bakery section with all kinds of delicious sweets. Also, the seafood selection is great. I tried their stuffed salmon for dinner and it was very good and easy to make--I only had to put it the oven and whalaa--dinner. The produce section is just okay. Generally this Sam's Club is OK. Personally for me, the BEST time to go is around 6, 7, 7:30pm. The cashier lines are shorter, less people to deal with in the store. I realize this may not be the greatest time for those doing some heavy shopping that may take a longer time. Gasoline, again maybe hitting it up later around 7, 7:30 is a good time to avoid some heavy car lines, waits. I realize it's popular because it's the cheapest gas around. The ONE thing I cannot stand however is the random soliciting from sales people in various asiles trying to sell me a new energy plan, cleaning solutions. Some "high tech" pillow. There was one trying to sell me, talk to me about an alternative to PECO. Asking if "I had time" I said "nope sorry" - this smug jerk mumbled "yeah you have time." I did mention this to the manager..not sure what happened to him. If he was canned or banned from the store. Good! I'm sure I wasn't the only one he was being a smart-a** to. read more

Every time you ask for any sort of help, the first thing is to expect is confused face looking at you. No one doesn't know anything, and they will tell you that themselves. Photo service will never have anyone working there, you will have to go many time to the costumer service reminding them that you need help, so that they can call someone. To the miserable human behind the counter at the pharmacy today.. Take a lesson in kindness and professionalism. My husband took my son in for a vaccine. Unbeknownst to us another pharmacy preauthorized this because I had made an appt elsewhere a week ago but had to cancel because my son was sick. So we couldn't get the shot because of that. Not their fault of course. But don't tell my husband in order to fix the problem that his wife needs to stop scheduling and cancelling appointments elsewhere and this won't happen. I then went in the store and stood in the customer service line only for the agent to walk away with no explanation. I then sought out a manager to assist me I found a very nice young lady who tried to assist me. At the same time we were approached by a gentleman named Nelson, who says he the store manager. He was rude and dismissive to say the least. Basically he tried to make it my issue because the company does not send out notifications to anyone who is not on their auto-renewal which makes no sense at all. Let's face it, wholesale shopping is pretty cookie cutter these days between BJ's, Costco and Sam's Club. I bought a Groupon for a $35 membership, which came with a $20 gift card and coupons for free frozen pizza, rotisserie chicken and cookies (an incredible value). I used the gift card on angry bird cupcakes for my son's birthday; he loved them and so did his friends. Let me just say Sam's Club's rotisserie chicken is the best among the wholesale clubs hands down. Overall I like Sam's Club. Tried to purchase about $125 worth of food. They had so few lines open on a Sunday at 4 pm and the line was about 8 people long that I had to put the ice cream back. After a 30 minute wait the cashier takes my card and uses the portable scanners that they carry. After scanning my order she tells me her register is locked up and that I would could go to any register and pay. I look at all the registers, and asked if I had to get at the end of the line and she said yes. Really? I just spent 30 minutes in line and now you want me to get at the end of the line again? Walked out and went to Giant. Store is currently being remodeled and is filthy. Customer service is horrible, they continue to change the location of items making it hard to find items. I wish they would build a BJ's close by! read more

Sam's Club is how I first learned about whole sale shopping. The old Sam's Club on York Road (my very 1st) closed down, and this one opened a couple years ago. And - to date - it is still well kept, neat, & clean. This location has a gas station. The only bad thing here is that there is always one or two pumps that are out of order. Just like CostCo in Cali, they give out free food samples. What's good about this place is that they offer it all week long (not just the weekends). Nice size parking lot. read more

At auto desk, employee was not wearing mask. When my mother asked him to put one on, he refused. After she explained that she is immunocompromised with an underlying medical condition, he continued to refuse to wear a mask and completely refused to service her car. He stated that he would leave her car contaminated (which honestly seems true - as when I was waiting and was looking into the service area they were not wearing masks or cleaning after finishing work on the cars.) This is both discrimination against people with disabilities and refusal to follow state and company rules regarding Covid precautions. read more

I like that I can regularly stock up on many of my staple house hold items. The instant savings deals are great...there's always something I need to get that has some additional savings on top of the deal I'm already getting. Every couple of months I spend a good amount of time and money on a "pantry stock up" but what's also good are the items I can run in a get on a whim - roasted chicken, salad mixes, etc... I have been annoyed once or twice by the discontinuing to carry items that I have come to depend on. But at the same time they do bring in good new items (Nature Valley Dark Chocilate PB Protein bars, for instance). read more

The staff at this location is always friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. Every time I walk into this store the staff offers assistance in locating what I need. If I am unable to locate a product, staff members always look it up in there system to verify whether the product is in the stock room & available. This store is always amply stocked with a large variety of food, beverages, snacks, drinks, meats, and clothing. I love being able to buy my groceries, meats, and household products in one location. The only drawback is due to SAMS being a wholesale warehouse store, things are sold in bulk or large quantity. For small families, it makes sense to share in purchases with another family to split costs. You definitely get great bang for your bucks here. The added bonus is the on-site bakery. You can great fresh & delicious cakes ordered for special occasions, or grab something sweet on the go. SAMS also provides earlier shopping hours for plus members. read more

This review is mainly about the personnel on the Tire and Battery - the lady was very polite and patient over the phone and in person. She didn't have any attitude explaining some requirements. I wished the flat repair (luckily not quite flat yet) process would be quicker like their awesome scan and go app, although I understand that they're not technically a car shop primarily. Another thumbs up to the lady in customer service and the manager that night (8/19/19) it was almost closing time, but they were still professional and did their best for customer service. First, these 2 stars are really just for the Member Services area. Each time I've encountered a person behind the desk, it generally is not a customer friendly experience, just the opposite. This last experience inspired me to write this review. It started with me having to wait while the service person finished up her personal conversation with her associate. Service was abrupt and left me feeling like I had interrupted her evening. No smile or thank you. Just a " here ya go ' and a blank.stare. Different experience altogether in the bakery department. Let me start by saying this store is incredibly mis-managed to say the least. Apparently an Amber Miller is the store manager. She should really learn what customer service is and foster it in her store employees. The front end manager, Amanda, was completely unhelpful. I traveled 40 minutes to and 40 minutes from this store to make a return. I waited patiently in line for my turn only to be told that they couldn't take my return because my membership had expired. I asked for a manger and got a supervisor named Sara who kept telling me she couldn't help me. After 30 minutes they tract down this Amanda who was the front end manager and all she could do was say she couldn't help me because my membership was expired. I had called two days before going to the store to make the return and they said all I need to do was have my receipt and my ID and I could return the item. I told them on the phone that my membership was expired and they never indicated that it would be an issued. Now I'm out $248 for an item that doesn't work and close to three hours of my life. read more

This gas location sucks! There's always a long line because they won't allow you to use the other lanes like Franklin mills. If you have the time & gas, just drive over to Franklin mills (aka Philadelphia Mills) instead. Plus the service is much more friendlier and inviting. As far as the store goes, they're all the same. Greeters greet. Long lines to pay for stuff. Huge inventory of stuff that you wouldn't even think of buying but since you're in there, you grab it anyways because you feel you're getting a deal. read more
