I pulled into the gravel lot in front of the Buy Rite and had trouble finding a spot to park. Clearly they were busy for lunch. The exterior and interior don't do much to provide ambiance per se. The interior is part general store, part restaurant, and part screen printing business. Everyone in front of me was ordering fried chicken (and being told they'd have it in 12-15 minutes). But me? I was there for a hot dog. I ordered one all the way with no onions, fries, and got a fountain drink. I stood around the screen printing machines until my number was called then took my order to the car as all of the inside seating was taken up. Five people who, seemingly knew each other, all sitting at different tables. Didn't leave much room for anybody else. The hot dog was ok. They had forgotten to leave the onions off. The chili had good flavor but the slaw was boring. The fries didn't have any seasoning on them. All in all, just a disappointing experience for me. Beautiful meat counter with the most amazing looking meats! The butchers were even cutting to order if you needed something not already in the counter. We left with two thick bone-in pork chops and 2 thick bone-in Ribeyes. We grilled the chops last night using the Sweet Heat Barnyard Blend the butcher recommended. Since we are at a VRBO, we don't have access to all the spices I have at home that I would normally use so it was nice to get a recommendation from the man cutting the meat! The chops were delicious and were really juicy and tender. The ribeyes are marinating for dinner with great friends tomorrow. I anticipate we will be thrilled with the quality of those steaks as well. Wonderfully friendly people, beautiful meats, a small produce and baked foods section plus they have prepared food you can take as well! Highly recommend! You will not regret stopping in!

This was actually my first ever visit to an Aldis. It is a smaller grocery store than I am…read moreaccustomed to. Typically I would go to Food Lion or Walmart to grocery shop. I and a friend only purchased one item since we were only visiting to check the place out. It is smaller but carries all the essential items you would purchase from other grocery stores. A bunch of brands that I had never seen before and not as much variety in the same category of items. One thing that stood out to me was only being one option for purchasing eggs. That was amazing! No regular size, jumbo, or whatever variation of eggs. Only one option which is kind of a trend throughout the store. I love the simplicity of it. I did see that you bag you're own groceries and you had to use a quarter to take a grocery cart which you get back when you place it back in the stall. That's a great way to save on staffing extra employees and keeping the costs down for customers. I really enjoyed my first ever trip to Aldis and will for sure head back sometime in the near future.

I settled with this food lion, obviously not my food lion of choice just look at the other reviews, since it was closest to my house. The soda selection was crazy, essentially empty. They need to hire a new person to do their truck orders because who ever to doing it now must be stupid and can't count. Besides the point, I picked up a pack of Pepsi, used the self checkout since there was only one person at the registers with a line down the aisle, I saw the rest of the staff sharing a cigarette right outside the exit door. While they're hired a new inventory manager, they should add a competent staff to that to do list. Anyways, I pay for my Pepsi, keeping my receipt in my hand, when I hear this awful noise. I turn to my left and I'm face to face with stumpy looking lady grimacing at me with her hand stretched out like she was expecting something from me. I look her hand and look back at her as she clears her throat and states I didn't pay for my drinks. Mind you my receipt is still in my hand, which she practically snatched out of my hand to "study". she pushed the receipt back into my hand and said "You're good" and rolled her eyes at me. I had to stand there for a minute and collect myself before I left the store. Needless to say I won't be come to this location again.

The ladies behind the counter are consistently friendly, which makes it one of my favorite stops coming from Maryland. Most of the time, I stop there to refuel and use the restroom, but I've always been tempted by the fresh, homemade-looking food. On this visit, they had fried pork chops that looked like they had just come out of the pan, so I finally decided to try them and I'm glad I did. The pork chops were perfectly fried and seasoned just right. Definitely worth the stop!
