It's extremely busy, and all the workers (and customers) had a smile on their face, which is always a good sign. I asked whether I should have a Fish Sammy (that's what they call it) or a salad and was told I should have the fish. It was simply the best fish sandwich I have ever eaten. The roll was unbelievable! The fish was perfectly cooked and a thick, moist piece. Great tartar sauce and lettuce and cheese. My partner had turkey and Brie on Focaccia that was also extraordinary. Needless to say, we had to buy some cookies, strudel and pastry to take home. We had already gotten bread from my sister or we would have bought that also. You simply cannot go wrong with any of the baked goods. The strudel was wrapped in waxed paper and a plastic bag. It travelled incredibly well. The town of Oxford is a hidden gem with lots of locally owned businesses, and a hot sauce festival in the fall. This would be the perfect place for a getaway weekend. The next time we drive South to see relatives, we're going to make this a destination stop. We love small businesses that are quality focused, and this is one of the best we've been to. GO!

There are breakfast options until 10:30 am and then lunch choices, along with a variety of baked goodies and breads. I got the fried bologna sammie with tots. So fresh and the tots are seasoned and yummy. Brought home a tshirt (Comfort Colors!) and some baked goods. Staff very friendly, restaurant so warm and welcoming and plenty of parking right out front., highly recommend!

Very attractive overall. So I selected my toppings and paid $30 for what I thought was going to be a fantastic pizza. Instead, what I got was something akin to a frozen Tino's pizza from Food Lion, with fake cheese and barely any toppings. Each topping was about $3 extra. My total, starting at a $19 base pizza, was $29 plus tax. As I said, this pizza wasn't anywhere close to what was pictured, and the flavor was very bland due to the scarcity of the toppings I ordered. Technically, they were there, just not enough to give the thing any flavor in any way, shape, or form. I was very disappointed that I strayed from George's of Oxford for Pizza. I always get their family-size pizza for about the same price; it's always packed with toppings, and although the crust isn't that tall and bubbly, they make up for it with a shit ton of toppings and flavor. Wouldn't recommend; next time, I know just to count on this place for liquid refreshments only. Lesson learned.

It's located in the Clarion Hotel off of the exit. My husband and I were driving to a conference for our son and came across this on the way. We decided to stop here for lunch before arriving to our destination and it seemed pretty sketchy at first. It did look like that area use to not be a safe area. Anyways, I guess the name changed and ownership and we decided to get some "bar" lunch food to fuel up. I got one of their wraps with a side of onion rings, my hubby got their wings, and our son got some chicken tender and tots. The food came out really quickly and hot! It was REALLY good. Even my husband was shocked. The wings were cooked just right and the flavor was there. The tots had a very great crisp to it and the onion rings hit the spot for me. Very friendly staff and a lot of seats to choose from.

"You been there?" I asked my buddies. Nope. "It's not just a convenience store, right?" Shrugs. It's Friday. It's July 1st. Why not celebrate the coming holiday with America's culinary gift to the planet: the triple cheeseburger. I called it in, the very polite lady on the phone took my order. "You want everything on that, baby?" Yes, ma'am. Kitchen sink. I'm on my way. Sam's is a place where everyone knows everyone. It's a grill, but it's also part of a community. And when I rolled in, I felt like part of it. I waited a while, because the day of the week and the month meant everyone was getting takeout. I had a great side chat with the other guys waiting, and watched them pay out all three burgers and grill them. First time here, I said. "Oh, you'll be back, baby. You sure you want slaw and chili?" Of course, I let them know that there is no other proper way to dress a burger, and they agreed. I brought my greasy brown paper bag of goodness (after grabbing my combo soda out of the cooler) back home. Everything was wrapped tightly in wax paper, and after hurriedly tearing it open, I was rewarded with just a classic Carolina burger, stacked high and falling over under its own mass. Not greasy, not gooey, just freaking delicious. The fries were wrapped in a little paper boat, crisp crinkles. This is another Oxford gem. Friendly, not fast, just great food. It's hidden in plain sight, and I'm not sure why people aren't crushing this place weekly.
