It was a dark and stormy night in December and Sam Matthews of Sam's Strings in Katy helped this beginner cellist out immensely. I had broken my A string and didn't have a replacement, and I wouldn't even have been able to figure out how to install it if I had one, and I had two performances the next day. Sam was working after hours at his shop and very kindly told me to come on by. As well as replacing my string in mere minutes, Sam has helped me with providing a rental instrument for me, and then by helping me select a cello and bow for purchase. Sam's Strings is the place to go! My boyfriend had done a lot of research, looking for the right cello for him, but he couldn't find what he needed locally. He contacted Sam in Houston, and he was an extremely helpful guide through the process. His fully-carved, high-quality introductory cello turned out to be perfect for him!
