If I could give this establishment 0 stars, I would! My family member is a patient of Dr. Kashani and recently underwent surgery. Immediately after the surgery, the patient experienced significant neck swelling, which the doctor addressed during a follow-up visit by advising an immediate CT scan. The scan was completed nearly a month ago, and the office received the results 10 days ago. Despite repeated calls, the office staff keeps telling the patient the doctor will call with the results, but so far, nothing has happened. It is extremely concerning that they are taking this situation so lightly, given that the swelling has persisted since the surgery, and we have no answers about the cause or potential risks. When I personally called to follow up, the office manager, Gabby, was dismissive and unprofessional. She initially responded saying that the patient has to wait, without even hearing the situation or asking for any patient information, and she only requested it after I brought up specific dates and details. Mind you Im perfectly aware of doctor-patient confidentiality and I was not asking for the results but simply inquiring about when the doctor would call the patient, yet her response was rude and lacked both courtesy and empathy. Additionally, during the same follow-up visit, the doctor so called removed "all" the patient's stitches, but we later discovered a long stitch left behind, which raised further concerns. Overall, this office is unprofessional, poorly managed, and shows an alarming lack of urgency in addressing potentially serious medical issues. I would not recommend this practice, especially due to the behavior of the office manager and the unacceptable delays in care! read more

I spent weeks reviewing top hernia surgeons in my area and Dr. Samuel Kashani had the best reviews.  The path towards the fastest recovery possible in my opinion is first doing your homework and finding the best surgeon in your area. It makes a HUGE difference with your level of anxiety when you trust your surgeon. After reading Dr. Kashani's reviews, my assessment was he was very experienced, precise, focused and very very very good at what he does.  Additionally, he has a very good bedside manner, warm, caring and extremely funny!  I'm so glad I chose Kashani because my pain level AFTER surgery was a 2 out of 10.  Everyone's different of course but hernia surgery deals with being careful around nerves and that's why choosing a very experienced, precise surgeon like Dr. Kashani is extremely important.  The more precision and care taken with the nerves...the faster the recovery.  My recovery was EXTREMELY fast.  Dr. Kashani is EXTREMELY skillful.  On the 2nd day, I was doing my everyday activities! Dr. Kashani was awesome! He performed surgery on me to remove a large tumor that was at top of my abdomen. I had it all my life, but after hurting it, it had grown in size and became an open wound. It would not ever stop bleeding. It really weighed on my self-esteem and confidence. I am forever grateful for him and his skills. He has a very funny personality and never failed to make me laugh at my appointments, or even right before my surgery. He answered all of questions regarding the process of healing, taking care of my scar, etc. His staff is also great, Gabi in particular. She was always kind and had great energy despite being pretty busy most of the time. She helped me get my EDD disability form done very quickly. Professional Surgeon for my hiatal hernia surgery which was through my chest cavity. I no longer need to take a daily pill to keep my food down. I never needed pain pills after the surgery when released following day. He had an unexpected sense of light humor moments before my surgery which helped me tremendously to calm down any unknown fears. He explained the surgery ahead of time in two office visits. I have been in for first meeting with the Doctor and he seems great. The Staff on the other hand seems lost and are not helpful. Getting them on the phone has not been easy but i have been able to talk to people not one has been able or willing to answer any questions about the surgery, and I don't mean specifics of my sugery I mean general questions. For example "Do I need to take time off after the surgery?'" Do I need to have someone drive me to and from the surgery?" How much is it going to cost? You know general questions. The staff even seemed to be surprised, that when they booked me for the surgery one week before without talking to me, that I was not going to drop everything for a non emergency. read more

I had the unfortunate circumstance of needing several surgeries this year, but was very fortunate in having my PCP and insurance direct me to Dr. Kashani. It was he who ended up performing two of the three surgeries, the last of which, an umbilical hernia surgery was performed on July 25th, just under two weeks ago. I'm still on the mend from this last procedure and in fact went in today for my post-op follow up. All is well and moving forward. The first surgery this year was an extremely unpleasant procedure that comes with some serious pain and discomfort post-op. Dr. Kashani was not only forthright and direct about what to expect, but he was compassionate, understanding, and professional from beginning to the end. Despite having gone through multiple surgeries in the past, I was unusually uptight and nervous about this one, but Dr. Kashani, and his staff were champs. They all have gone above and beyond for me through these procedures and I couldn't be more pleased and feel more trusting of this man and his staff. UPDATE 2023 - this doctor must of been DRUNK last night, calling me at 10Pm while in the middle of a funeral . The story goes like this = Saw him oct 2019, NO help. The on Feb 2020, NO HELP, just creams and suggestions of SURGERY. At this point, it's costing over 450$ for appointments. The latest , however is Absolutely ridiculous. All this man wanted to do was surgery after 3 unsuccessful attempts and BLOWING me off, then blaming ME for not following up, WAITS OVER 2 years- guess what the DOCTOR HIMSELF decides to do? SAME DOCTOR WHO WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH WITHOUT PAYING 200$ a session to see or talk to or ever get a refill--- THE DOCTOR , who must of had a few drinks, calls me at 10PM on a Wednesday night to discuss a 56$ bill from 2 YEARS+ ago that I do not owe, calling because I chewed out his billing department for sending me an 18+ month old bill and I told them HOW I satisfied my experience was, what a joke, I am super unimpressed with the expensive in and out treatment ( pressure to get surgery and the late night phone calls about 18 month old bills . If you think for a second I will let a scam Doctor wake me up in the middle of the night because he claims 1: I owe him 56$ from March 2021, or that he is concerned that I spoke to his billing department in such a way because his entire staff, experience, suggestions - EVERYTHING WAS CHEAP, Wrong and just wanted CASH CASH CASH. For this doctor for call me up and wake me up to talk about 56$ from March 2021, seems a bit desperate and cheap. NEVER EVER had a doctor it was obviously impossible to get in touch with when you're an absolute pain decide to not call you back and insist on you coming into the clinic for everything from just a prescription to a complaint to even a question. Ultimately over the phone call, I was blamed for not following up with the officer in the office made no attempt to follow up with me. I can't get out of my mind a whole much pressure there was to do a surgery, there was even a call-in for a pre-authorization, which I had no idea happened until the insurance company presented me with a very large bill for a surgery that was to take place. I told the doctor many times that I was terrified of the surgery, and he just threw around the idea of Botox without really any strong explanation. The fact that I got a phone call from him, like I said at 10 PM over $56 bill that I simply will not pay, I'll go to court before I pay that, it's just absolutely unprofessional. Again I cannot get in touch with this doctor when I was in pain but he conveniently decided to get in touch with me on a Wednesday night at 10 PM over $56 bill an argument I had with his billing department.
