It was tasty and there was lots of food for $12.95. There were 4 pieces of Calif Roll, chicken teriyaki, salad, shrimp(1) & veggie tempura, rice, and a bowl of miso soup to start with. We had to ask for the wasabi and ginger but it was no problem or uncharge. I wish I'd asked for low sodium soy sauce but that's on me. The ambience was pleasant. Overall the food was very delicious, however the water and soda had a very bad taste, like if they hadn't cleaned out the spout of the machine, when I told the server she gave me attitude, saying they had just cleaned them and that she can bring me something else.. Food is always delicious they can accommodate large families, I always love the Lobster roll of the caterpillar roll but my family love a variety of other rolls like the crunch roll , spider roll , tiger roll and avocado rolls and Teriyaki Rib eye steak with veggies. Sapporo black and Sapporo regular beer is great for the men folk and I love the cold or hot green tea. We went on mother days so it was pack and busy but they got us in after about a 30 min wait . I've been coming here for more than 20 years they never disappoint me. Was walking thru the Hemet Mall, and at the entrance I noticed this wonderful smell, and I've had Japanese food but not since moving to SJ, so I thought I'd try it! Sad can't make a proper rice what kind of "Japanese" sushi when the rice isn't even the proper rice for sushi roll. Vegetables lacked flavors just bland the moment I took a bite I had to spit that out. The only good thing I had was the water. Unless the glassware are dirty. I wasn't sure. But never coming back to this place sadly. The quality & effort of food just pummel down. Those guys there are not qualified to called themselves a sushi chef or chef overall. Our group of 15 made reservations 3 weeks ago for New Year's Eve. The management apparently forgot to plan the cook staff accordingly. Two people in our group only got the appetizers they ordered, but not the main meal. Management never even can to our group and attempted to apologize. our poor server was left trying to deal with people getting upset. Great food, good pricing. Not cheap but not overly expensive. Nice ambiance, low lighting and classical modern music playing and tv screens with sports playing at the sushi bar area. It's usually busy when we come here and somehow get lucky to get sat right away or maybe a 5-10 min wait. I don't like to leave bad reviews, but we have noticed since our last visit earlier this year service has gone down. What a great place specially for the Hemet mall, when I want sushi I always come here, it's always super fresh and very delicious, staff are extremely friendly and fast when it comes to being seated and service. Love eating here the restaurant is very clean and it's a good vibe all around, my favorite things that I 10/10 recommend would be the "eye roll" and their "sesame chicken" entree which comes with a really nice miso soup, I absolutely love those two items they're always very fresh and clean tasting. Came in about more than an hour before closing the server gave me my drinks and ignored me the rest of the time i was there. if you don't want to work the last hour of your shift let the costumers know before blatantly ignoring them for 30 minutes. i also sat in the back booth and felt something touch my foot. some how all the workers had time to take shots and watch tv but couldn't serve. read more
