Great spot for something different in the valley. I hear all the time that Hemet is not the culinary creative epicenter and how fresh is not expected especially when it comes to seafood. This joint has it nailed. Delivering the trendy mexican version of the the historically peruvian and central american favorite, Los Mareados Ceviche is wonderfully fresh and flavorful. Various Botanas, tostadas and unique creations make this place the spot ideal for a meal that weighs heavier on the tastebuds than the waist line. The Camarones Misterio is a mexican take on the Cajun Crawfish boil. A wonderfully seasoned broth is the base for large fresh whole shrimp with corn and potato brought in a bucket giving the diner the opportunity to enjoy seafood the way it should be. All hands in, messy and fun! This little spot is the second location for this owner. The staff is welcoming and works hard on delivering great customer service. For the traditional Hemet diner, this may take a bit of courage to jump out of your comfort zone. But for those that do, your courage will be justly rewarded! Since covid they have outdoor seating which is good but in the night it's starting to get cold so they do have a tent outside and heaters inside that tent but next to it they have additional seating with no additional heaters I wish they would add maybe another tent for the night at least part from the other one. Also they had a band on the day I went and brought a horse Im guessing from the band and when we got there there was not enough seating so we had to sit next to the horse which unfortunatelywe could smell the horse poop and was kicking up dirt but they gladly sat us away from the horse which was good. Service not good . The waitress does not know how to be pleasant or friendly most of the time she's on the back don't attend customers. The food was horrible it tasted like TV dinners . I order linguine with shrimp omg terrible looks like she cut the shrimps in small pieces it was served on a plastic bowl with a plastic spoon. Looked like something she microwave. The ambiance no one came in the hour I spend there . And the prices are out of this world over price for microwave food. I tried to support small business but I felt they rip me off. read more

This place when you first arrive is not what you think. I would consider it a hole in the wall. The atmosphere is a bit sub par, but if that's what you are here for then forget it. The food was excellent. From hand made tortillas to hand made empanadas (spicy), the seafood doesn't disappoint. I thought it was a bit pricey at first, but when I saw how much food they put on your plate it is actually worth. The empanadas are stuffed to the max and I think half a dozen is more than enough for anyone. The beer is decently priced as well considering it is all imported. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for that authentic Mexican seafood craving. Hopefully this place can thrive in this small town. read more

I've tried stopping by this small place, in the heart of restored Hemet, but because of the dark windows, it always appears closed. The few times I tried the door, it was locked. I got lucky today! No credit cards but they do have an ATM machine. Other than that, cash only. I had the shrimp tostada. First of all there mucho mucho shrimp in the plate & 2ndly, it was GOOD. Almost as good as mine! Seriously, it was definitely as good as any I make at home. Next time I go (& there will be a next time), I'll try the octopus! Prices were about average for various portions, but with this particular tostada, there was enough stuff there for 4 (yes, four) servings. read more

Delicious seafood. Best in Hemet San Jacinto. The langostinos (prawns) are the best. They have seafood soups and they have a large variety of seafood to add on or on the tostada (toasted tortilla). Very friendly staff also. read more

I tried this place for when they opened and the food was great fish was fresh. I tried the tacos as well and I really enjoyed them. Since I really liked their food I went back for more and took five friends with me unfortunately there was a cash only sign and we did not carry cash so we had to go get a sandwhich down the street. I knew I wanted to go back so I did this time with cash on a different day that is. I ordered the exact same items I had previously enjoyed and could not wait to have again. I regret to say the fish ceviche was just to fishy and the ingredients were not fresh it tasted to me as if it was days old and my friend had shrimp they found some of the shrimp dirty and they said it did not taste fresh either. My second visit was not nearly as good I eat seafood often and I can tell fresh seafood. Service was good but I will not be recommending this place. read more

I just want to say that I ordered a ceviche tray they say in 20 minutes i got there after 25 minutes and they had not started with my tray yet. The girl keept saying 5 to 7 minutes and it took over half an hour after i arrived. Not the greatest service, the food is awesome but the service sucks the guy in the kitchen looks like he doesn't get pay. I have ordered from the one in San Jacinto and never had any issues they are super nice and prompt. The foods good, like really good. I've had some of the cooked stuff to. This location offers cooked seafood fish tacos and shrimp empanadas. Here's what's annoying....it's cash only. Which is fine as they have an on-site ATM. The annoying part is they rarely have enough lose coinage early In the day to give you all your change. Twice I've been here and they just kept the 70-cents, 60-cents etc. Another time I had to go to the bar across the street to get some ones. The money amount isn't the problem it's the poor organization here. You can't be cash only and not have enough money denominations to return the proper change. Went here last night for take-out. This place does not take credit cards. Cash only?!? What country is this? And in this town, ATM's are sketchy AF. But in addition if you want some blaring mariachis in street clothes sitting at one of the dining tables in a restaurant no bigger than a walk-in closet, then this is your place. Visited this place yesterday, we were in town from San Diego sand let's just say I will be making the drive to Hemet more often. This place has authentic Mexican seafood and probably the best ceviche I have ever had! The owner is very friendly and welcoming, you can tell he takes pride in his business. The food is great but honestly this place is such a hassle to order from. It says they close at 9, I call two times this week at 8pm to place an order and they say they are closed and they close at 8. It's already hard enough to get decent food in hemet let alone a place that's open past 9pm. Either homie the hours you have posted or close at 8 everyday and make that known online. I don't know why the terrible reviews. I'm very picky and I thought the ceviche was good. The pescado chicharrón was the BEST I ever had, amazing flavor. Only issue is the ceviche shows avocado, the three times I have ordered it didn't have any, I asked when placing the order and their excuse was "the avocado person hasn't deliver then" then charge me less because if I order an extra order of anything you guys won't hesitate to charge me for that. read more
