We recently came back here because I was craving shell fish. The service is always good but would be nice for faster water refills. I almost always enjoy the food. This time I had oysters, clams, mussels, and scallops. I has beets, ginger, salmon, and some other fresh fish. For dessert I had papaya to help the enzymes get to work. Going to the bathroom here is a funky situation. Not the fault of the restaurant, but the city of Hemet needs to fix the pipes to get rid of that smell. See you guys next time read more

Great buffet in the area! My sibling has special needs and only eats select items, and the staff was helpful in letting us know if the food items were restocked. They were very attentive, and the place itself was very clean with lots of seating available. The buffet has a good range of selections and I actually enjoyed their sushi as well. I dined here for lunch and found the price to be really reasonable, around $15 per person on a weekday. The service was okay; the employees were talking amongst themselves for a few minutes before they turned to greet us. I don't think anyone came to check on us or refill our waters throughout the meal. As far as the food, some items were delicious and flavorful (such as the steamed veggies, mushrooms, baked mussels) while others were too greasy or otherwise not the best quality, such as the sushi. I appreciated the selection of fresh fruits as well. I didn't try the desserts but my mom said they were okay, nothing to write home about. There is definitely room for improvement and hopefully they'll take some of the feedback into account! Since they're the only buffet in town, I'd love to see them do well. read more

The fruit is wonderful. The atmosphere is great. It's a nice, warm inviting restaurant. And with lots of tables and booths, the steam tables are kept immaculately clean. The food is fresh hot and the variety is just amazing. And it even goes around the corner of the restaurant to like. A cold salad bar that is has sushi and also sort of cold items and dishes. The staff is super nice as a very pleasant place, but the food is really good for all you can eat Aisian buffet, with entrees that would cost you big bucks in any other restaurant and I think are just as good .Absolutely. I only came here because my relatives treated us. I'm not a huge fan of Chinese buffets, but because buffets in general are slowly dying out, I can appreciate this place for what it is. The food here is what you expect; it won't be great but as long as you get the fried staples, it can be pretty decent. The only issue is that nearly all the food is so greasy that I couldn't eat more than a small plateful. I will say that I did like the ice cream cups. Try the chocolate ice cream! I love supporting small businesses but this is ok for an Asian buffet. Good prices and deals for birthdays (with ID) but food and quality is subpar. There was a smell coming from the drain next to the ice cream that I couldn't get past. My favorite part of the buffet was their hibachi; it tasted pretty good! I'd skip the sushi next time though. Their ice cream is individually packaged so can't go wrong with that and also enjoyed their bundt cakes. Service was also really good, friendly, and attentive. Idk why we even tried a second time. They kept changing what their birthday discount policy was on us. We came twice. Big mistake. My parents are simple and prefer to go to a buffet for their birthdays. Both times they would not give my dad the birthday discount. His birthday was 20th and we went on the Sunday of the 23rd and they said no it doesn't qualify but it says on the sign "on or within 3 days prior to birthday" they didn't even bother looking at my dads ID because I thought maybe they were misunderstanding. They just kept saying no. We were already hungry and decided to still eat but wish we didn't even do that because the quality of the food was really bad. From all the buffet me and my family have gone too this one is by far our least favorite. The food tasted like it has been left out for hours to days the rice on the sushi was stiff and the crab tasted SUPER fake, the salmon was left in the water which tasted bad couldn't even finish it. Golden Hibachi is a good Chinese buffet that has pretty good food from the buffet to the Mongolian grill that makes dishes fresh to order. I went on a Sunday evening and there was a decent crowd of young families and small groups of elderly people. With that being said, people took a moderate amount on their plates when getting food and didn't really utilized the grill. A lot of the substandard food was food that had been sitting on the buffet table for an extended period of time. The restaurant isn't going to refill the pan if its not running low. Some of the more popular dishes were refilled often like the honey walnut shrimp, salt and pepper prawns, noodles, pot stickers, onion chicken, chicken wings, beef broccoli, baked crab on the scallop half shell, poached salmon and the more well known Chinese food staples. Other dishes that were not as popular sat and dried out. After a while, those looked dried out and unappetizing. Even the crawfish boil was overcooked after sitting for who knows how long. Don't take the dried out stuff and expect it to be good. There isn't the foot traffic in the restaurant that night in Hemet that the cooks would be refilling everything. I arrived during the dinner "rush" at 5:30pm on a Sunday and I was surprised how empty the restaurant was. Most people took two plates on average and stayed less than an hour. I filled and ate 4 plates plus one from the Mongolian BBQ area and stayed over an hour. When the food was brought out fresh, it was VERY good. There was always crab legs on the buffet line and they were mediocre at best, I wouldn't expect them to pay for premium crab legs if customers weren't constantly snatching them up and the food was moving faster. The crab legs were smaller than most buffets but I can't fault the owners at all. The price for the buffet isn't bad. Service was quick and friendly. I got my soda refilled whenever I needed it and they were quick to take away my used plates. The atmosphere was very casual, well lit and the bathrooms were relatively clean. Utilize the Mongolian grill, get what you want, season how you want it, tip the cook, and you have a great fresh food to your liking. I think this place would do much better if they pared down their food selection so things would move faster and the food pans would get refilled with fresh food. Very reasonably priced for what you're getting. I give this place a solid 4 stars after seeing how everything came together. read more

You really want to think twice, three times and four times before you make the decision to eat here. Now I know why there were so few cars in the parking lot in front of it. My friend and I ate at the end of the day and we thought we were eating the days leftovers. The flavors of all the food had turned into unknown tastes that were not palatable. The 1 star reviews say it all and I don't contest any of them. ALL THE FOOD WAS UNEXEPTABLE and questionable. I regret feeding my body with what was offered but thank goodness it was only a bite of what I tried to like. I have eaten there before and it was okay but my friend wanted to try this place. I thought I would give it another chance but this visit had is warning for the foodies. There aren't many Chinese buffet in the area. Our favorite is Asia Seafood Buffet in Murrieta. This place actually compares well with the Asia Seafood. The place is bigger and cleaner. They aren't as busy though which makes me sad. Price for dinner was 18.99. There's plenty of seafood. The sushi isn't as numerous as the one in Murrieta but good enough. The hibachi grill is what the one in murrieta does not have. The service here is good. They pick up your plate fast. I didn't eat the steak ball as I wasn't sure how to cut it. I gave this place a try at lunch time and definitely was not impressed, the food was OK but I could have gotten as good from buying frozen meals at the grocery store. So I decided to go back for a second try at dinner time as with buffets it is quite often better. The food was worse, all the chicken dishes were overcooked and tough, There were crab legs. The price is certainly fair, and the food quality is quite good. It would be better if they had some nice music playing, it's a bit quiet in here. Where to begin. The floors inside were so sticky that my shoes were very loud when I was just walking to my table! I looked at all the food and I thought that it looked alright...but I was so very wrong. I had sushi for my first plate and it was just plain sad like the time when your pet dies. TLDR: Expect bland food, weird textures, and chewy meat, but excellent service Went here about a week ago with my family and the experience was disappointing overall. The best dish that I ate personally was the coconut shrimp, but it had such a strange texture for an otherwise tasty dish that I couldn't stomach more than 4 pieces of it. The soups were extremely bland and watered down. The fried rice looked and tasted like microwave rice. The food from the grill also had a strange texture especially the noodles which I can only describe as crumbly. Desserts were also few and disgusting. The Jello tasted like it absorbed some kind of fruity bathroom cleaner flavor. The ice cream cups are definitely worth a try though if you end up here anyways! I appreciated the service though and we were taken care of very well. I will say the overall atmosphere is very strange though, the only TV in the dining area was playing paid programming which showed novelty, political knives. Don't live in the area but we're driving thru the city for a Drs appt. We couldn't agree what to eat so decided to "buffet it" . My husband was Leary. But when we got inside it smelled great and everything looked fresh and full. Lots of varieties to choose from. It was great!!. We go to the Drs in that area around once a month. The variety and quality of the food product especially in consideration for the price is exceptional. The facility itself as being a former Mimi's Cafe is a very nice setting and is kept very clean. The best part of all is the level of attention received from the young staff and is very much appreciated.
