I'd give it a no star if it were an option. We stopped here for a stop over. Very nice greeting when we checked in and even escorted to our site. After an early dinner we decided to take a dip in the pool. We brought plastic cups to the pool and both apparently missed the sign on the gate. It clearly stated no food or drinks. We were in the pool chatting when a lady and man in a golf cart said no drinks were allowed on the deck. We picked up our drinks and she then went. ballistic. By this time we were getting out of the pool to comply. She started yelling at us about how clearly it was posted. As we are leaving the pool she said that if we can't follow the rules then we can pack up and leave. She would not let us say anything. She kept yelling over us, clearly very angry. Then they drove around to our RV. Seriously? We did not argue- we only tried to explain and apologize. I understand that you have to be firm and enforce the rules, however you don't need to be a yelling, angry bully while doing so. I will NEVER EVER come back. read more

While the campground itself is clean and well kept, the lady who manages it is something else. If you're staying for just one night it should be fine. But for any duration you need to stay on her good side. Only problem is you never know what's going to set her off. She is rude and unprofessional. The rest of the staff is fine. The campground also sits directly under the flight path of the local airport. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. Made a last minute reservation for Memorial weekend and came in Saturday. We unloaded and went to dinner. Came back, cabin was hot, had two ac units and one didn't work at all. Went to use the tv for some evening cartoons for my kids, wifi didnt work and no channels. Finally went to sleep. Next morning (Sunday) for showers we noticed the bathrooms were dirty; trash overflowing, floor, shower and sink dirty, ac didnt work there either. Went to town and ate and such. Came back to swim since the pool closes at 6, you can't have even a water or an insulated cup in pool area and boy they were sure to walk by and yell no drinks. They had some young guy driving around on a golf cart all weekend and then the older guy that yelled about the drinks yet the bathrooms couldn't get cleaned. Monday morning the bathrooms still were filthy and hot. We got dressed, packed and loaded then cleaned up. I swept inside and out, cleaned on top of fridge, made sure mattresses were back up and nothing was left, cleaned out fridge, and dumped all trash, my mom even took to dumpster. Few days later noticed I was charged the $75 incidental fee and it was no longer pending ok my account. I called three times and the third time left a voicemail to have them call me back. No call back. Called again and she answered but was rude off the bat going off on a list of things that were wrong. Said it wasnt swept, there was food all over on the ground outside, sugar on the fridge and bottles and cans left in trash can. I swept everything and when I did I could tell noone had swept there in a while. We didnt even have sugar, we had a coffee maker of our own but no sugar, my mom even mentioned how she forgot to bring it. We had no cans or soda bottles, I know because we literally only had beer when there and my kids had water. The food left on the ground my 18 month old spilled a few funyun chips and smashed them (on the ground), how am I supposed to clean that with all the dirt and rocks?! She said they had pictures and told me she would email them, that never happened. Will be calling to ask again for them. This place is a joke, especially for the price. You're better off at a motel 6 or a tent. read more

Worst KOA in the United States!!! Charged $60 for my ADA service dog. An additional charge of $50 for "incidentals", from our deposit!!! No explanation. Made to feel like we were prisoners in the cabin. Couldn't have our dog outside unless he's on his leash. No tie outs!! Can't have a drink in the pool (by state law, according to them) Met a Dr at the pool who couldn't even give her children water!! Yellow shirts watching you 24/7. Can't have music playing even though there is no one next to you. They close the pool by 8:30. It was the worst family vacation we have ever had!!! We will never stay there again. We stayed 2 years in a row but we will not go back. Don't stay here if you are disabled, they charge you for everything. read more

We were only there one night, and didn't use the pool. It looked nice though. We had a pull through site, it came with a patio set. Very nice , but tight with our drop down stairs. Our site had a mesquite tree right at the exit, we were concerned about hitting it on our way out. Lots of road noise, I'd prefer a site farther back from the road. Nice park, convenient. read more

Discriminates against specific dog breeds regardless of temperament. In fact, it is a qualifying question they ask upon making a reservation. Was told, flat out, I will be kicked out if I bring in a pit MIX. Who decides what breed my dog is in that campground anyway? Insurance excuses are unacceptable since many campgrounds allow all well behaved dogs. Happy to take my vacation money elsewhere. read more

I'm the kind of camper who likes to pull down a dirt road in the middle of nowhere and boondock, miles from anyone, with no running water, no TVs and no gift shoppe! But when you're traveling with a city boy, sometimes you have to compromise...which we did, here. This was my first-ever stay at a KOA, and while the vibe was totally "Mama's Family," with zero privacy and not much illusion of being in the wilderness...it was admittedly very nice to be able to take a hot shower, do some laundry and take advantage of the bountiful, fast free Wi-Fi. I have since stayed at another KOA, and at least compared to that one, this place was kinda grim: few trees, little landscaping, right beside a busy highway and in the flight path of a regional airport. But the shower water was HOT (and the water pressure good), and the WiFi was strong....so I can't complain. And the people running the place were super friendly. I guess my main (only) complaints about this place are the loud location and the lack of ambiance. I probably would not stay here again......if I do end up in the San Angelo area again, you'll find me out in the desert: drinking mushroom tea around a campfire, naked, with nothing but a few coyotes and a tarantula or three for company. The staff was really great; helpful and friendly. We were there just one night while passing through. We got the last space. The rv area was all gravel; the roads and the sites. Our space did not have a table but other sites did. The entire campground was very clean. The bathrooms were fine. There were 2 toilets, 2 showers and an ADA shower/bathroom combo stall. There were a lot of long term residents. They offered a pancake breakfast but we slept too late. It sounds like the hosts have a lot of activities. read more

The campsite was very clean , very well kept up. It had nice play area and accessories. Pet friendly. The only thing that i didn't like was every visitor you have has to pay $5 each person and on your lot you can only have up to 6 people ‍ . Plus another thing i didnt like was that some of the staff would ride around the rv park with their golf karts and literally be noisy n see what ur doing see how many ppl you have , re-fix everything the way they had it before u moved in while ur rv which made me uncomfortable . read more

Stayed a week at this older KOA. All gravel property and limited shade. Great people working, they definitely treated us right. Lot's of full time residence here with too much trash placed around the outsides of their trailers. Has a 24-hour laundry. Super cheap washers at $1.25 a load. Dryers cost $1.00 a load for 30 minutes but they took $3.00 to dry a couple towels. Propane available on-site but way OVER Priced at $3.71 a gallon. I ran out this morning so I did refill one 30lb tank before I left. 7 Gallons cost me $25.97. Later, I stopped at the Tractor Supply Store ($1.89) and refilled the other 30lb tank 6.5 Gallons cost me $12.29 The staff makes this park, WiFI weak during the day, at night signal improved. They have Daily trash pickup and full hookups including cable. Some road, train and airplane noise at times. read more

Good pull through site, has far has length and width. But the services are poorly place d, near road not the middle of site. Bad WiFi. Bathrooms, dog park and lots of camping cabins. Close to busy road, and we are in the flight path. Two low flying airplanes. One late at night, another this morning. All in all, we would stay again. read more

Easy to find and the staff was able to recommend nearby shopping, attractions and restaurants. Most certainly recommend if looking for somewhere a little more relaxing from the hustle and bustle. Me and my family have been coming here for 5 years! new owners were in the process of taking over last year, we came last year and left with no problems. We made reservations and checked in. They changed it to where you have to now pay for every person plus what you already paid for to stay. The staff was already giving off the wrong vibe as in wrong vibe I mean as in racism(we are mexican).We then went to the pool and we noticed them standing by the pool assuming they had a problem with something and then we noticed we had an EMPTY plastic cup sitting by the fence.Then we see them doing a head count and mind you just our family was in the pool. The cup situation was taken out of proportion because it was solved by being thrown in the trash. The sheriffs are then called an hour after and we are told that we are kicked out and all of our money will be refunded. The sheriffs also mention that we are getting kicked out because we did not have the tags on the car to stay there. Which does not make sense because how else would we have gotten in? These people are not the type of people to be running a business that you would want to spend your money and time on! read more

I am a long term client and was staying at Spring Creek Marina. Moved over to the KOA and saw how a business was run. Marshal (Owner) runs a tight ship. When someone moves out, their sight is cleaned and raked. Dave (employee) will help you with any problems you may have. Bathroom are pristine and so is the camp ground. Marshall will cure your problems. I never stayed on a weekend but the always had something going on for the patrons (crawfish boil, shrimp boil, et.). Would never stay anywhere else in San Angelo. read more
