Texas kitsch in terms of room names, but well appointed and a friendly, local staff. The hotel is kept in its original state/theme, especially the large bar downstairs and is a good fit for a more rural county seat. Comfy, cheap, easy and easy to miss if you're not looking. Well worth the stay if you're in Brady for the night.

The staff was very helpful with all thing requested I had a problem figuring out how to work the remote for the tv couldn't figure out the volume and the young man came to my room to show me and I felt less than able once he showed me how it worked. I was told only some king-size bedrooms come with a microwave,they did not have any other king-size beds available so we moved to a room with 2 queens not very happy but it did have a microwave. The room did not have any empty plugs so we had to ask management for an adapter. There is NO ice machine. They use a cooler and fill it with ice ( very unsanitary). The breakfast consists of bagels and muffins. If you want something warm you pay extra. The room was clean the bed was comfortable,but Not worth $155 + tax about $185 total.I saw a $100 charge on my account. They put a hold on your card.I called tonight to ask how long it would take to be released and was told it could take 4 days. Also was told I could be charged $5 for a make up stain on a wash cloth if it doesn't come off. UNBELIEVABLE.

And in a hot sticky room.... Not a good place to be. Took about an hour to cool off the room. Not a bad place to stay, but kinda sketchy looking people lurking around outside. The older woman and man at check-in were rude to us, and throughout our stay we were repeatedly met with dirty looks and cold behavior. On our last day, after we had already packed up our campsite we stopped in to grab a quick bite to eat before leaving town. Instead of being treated kindly we were greeted with a stern and rude "When are you leaving?" The entire experience was very discouraging and uncomfortable. We did not feel respected or welcomed, and unfortunately we would not stay here again.
