For those seeking a fun walking or jogging experience, check out the "Trail" route located in the CA Plant Communities section. It was so nice we met the…read moreman at the front gate and he gave us a basic run down where everything was and we decided to go by the big lake. They have a small one up front. There is no swimming at this park but they have a nice splash pad and playground for the little ones. We found a spot and the wind coming off the lake was so nice. There were a lot of geese and ducks right around us, super friendly they came right up to us and slept by us even. They have a path that you can walk that goes around the entire lake. It's nice exercise. We ate lunch and stayed for about 4 hours. We will be back for sure . Nice, peaceful, relaxing day.

This is a peaceful, relatively quiet park in Upland…read more This is also a solid park to have a picnic at while the kids play on the playground equipment. They even have a couple of designated BBQ grills available for your day at the park (bring your own charcoal). The restrooms are conveniently located near the center of the park, right in between the three ball fields at the park. It's true that during little league/softball season, you can't find a place to park or a ball field to play on; however, during "off season", the park is nice enough to keep one ball field unlocked so you and your friends/kids/family can use one of the three fields. If you can't find a field, there is a decent amount of open green space for you to throw a frisbee around, toss a football back and forth (even run a few 10 - 15 yard routes, or play catch. Also, the concrete path takes you from parking lot to around the entire park and back. Great for kids on tricycles or for walking little ones in their strollers while you get your steps in.
