Surprisingly great service at the San Bernardino DMV! Even though I had an appointment to renew my license, I still waited about an hour and a half--but the staff were helpful, respectful, and kept things moving as best they could. Francisco was one of the rudest employees I have ever encountered. I went in for my behind the wheel test and was in the wrong pull up lane. Instead of politely redirecting my mom and I, he rudely yelled at us and made us go to the back of the line. As you can see from previous reviews, this employee has a history of being rude and unprofessional. I don't understand why they still have him working there when he is clearly unprofessional and hates his job. Don't come here staff is rude, ghetto location, understaffed and extremely crowded they over booked appointments, no seats available to sit and if u don't sit they make you wait upfront on the street. They always tell you that they have speakers upfront, but they don't. They actually don't work and then you just end up losing your number because you can't hear it and you can't be inside. The employees here are extremely rude. The ladies at window 2 and 3 are very condescending and have a very bad attitude. Not sure if they switch windows, but this is based off of today's visit. The wait is not long here but you have to deal with very poor customer service. Not to mention, you most likely will be refused service for not having all paperwork (in my experience, paperwork that is not needed or requested for at other DMVs). Took my drivers test here. Failed twice. Because the instructor is dyslexic and was contradicting his own instructions and when I called him out on it he made even more nonsense and excuses. It's clear he sucks at his profession due to failing everyone who was before me and yes it was clear he failed them. Went to Redlands and passed first try. Came here for my daughter's driving test. The lady in the front was wonderful. I did not have the current registration on the vehicle and she was helpful in directing me to the inside kiosk instead of just sending me home and having to reschedule another driving test. I had a difficult time with the internal kiosk in getting a replacement vehicle registration sticker and the lady in window 2 took the time to help me at the kiosk. Very helpful and wonderful service today. Thank you For the driving test. Have your current vehicle registration, driver's permit for your son/daughter, your driver's license, vehicle's insurance in hand, and glasses if your your son/daughter drives with them. You only have 15 minutes after your appointment time to have everything together or you would have to reschedule your appointment read more

The worst DMV in the area. Staff miss informs you, gives u incorrect documents to fill out & is rude when we try to explain what we have been previously told by their staff. There are no chairs to wait inside and they won't let you stand and wait. I was told I could wait in my car and they would text me but they never took my cell number and I was told they can't add it. I was told I had to wait outside because I couldn't just stand because it is a fire hazard. The high today is 97. This isn't safe. read more

Was rude to me the whole time, I asked simple questions and he would talk back rude and insist he was the instructor when all I asked to do was scoot over a lane. I went to the residential area and cause there were cars coming in a tight street I slowed down. He took one look at my speedometer and just went "too slow, failed." I SLOWED DOWN CAUSE THERE WERE CARS PUNKASS. Practically insulted me when we made it to the DMV, asked "what made you think that was a good idea?" while waving him arm up at me like I was a total dumbass. Fuck Cisco. Wow I have never in my life been so disgusted by the service I'm the DMV like I am today. I know DMV employees may have a rough reputation due to the stress in their jobs, but my god this was extremely unpleasant. I was ridiculed and yelled at by an employee who was short tempered already in a bad mood who had yelled at the people in front of me in line. As we were trying to take the dmv behind the wheel test. She was checking our paper work snatching the papers from our hands (Hispanic Caucasian bigger lady with skin condition white spots no offense just describing) She said "you're registration is expired reschedule the test get out of here" with a disgusting attitude. I informed her it was not yet expired until the end of the month to which she replied "well technically it's expired in my point of view now get out of here" wtf???? Then I said ok it's not yet expired but I can go ahead and pay for the next year on the machine real quick? (Which was located 2 feet behind me with nobody in line at either of the 2 machines). She said ok but be here in less than 2 minutes I don't have your time. So as I went ahead another person walked by me and said "they did the same to me their in a very bad mood today. I recommend paying it online the machines aren't working". The dmv person overheard the conversation and ran through the office desks and yelled out in front of everyone "looks like the machine doesn't work. You can go wait outside in the long line (about 30 people) and if you don't get to my desk in 2 mins I'm not helping you. OH WAIT. you won't make it HAHA. Now get out" and proceeds to point to a side exit. I wanted to go over the desk and punch her in the damn face. But obviously I'm civil and patient to I just shrugged it off not understanding this disgusting behavior. Then she follows us to the exit and yells "hopefully your car doesn't get impounded HAHA." With out a doubt one of the most pleasant DMV visits I've experienced! Made an appointment 2 days prior, showed up next to a long line of non appointments and no one in the appointment line. And was called in with in 10 seconds. Got checked in, and asked to take a seat. Sat down for another 10 seconds and got called right up to the window! I'm never not making an appointment again lol. So definitely make an appointment! To also add to my experience, their associate Pricilla, who helped me at the window. Was very kind and professional, a joy to be processed by answering every question I had with a great attitude! Also their security guard, though I did not get her name was very nice and professional. In an environment where people may not be in the best mood. She conducted her self in a manor that would cool off the hottest of heads. Kudos to these two women! read more

Staff is on point even at their busiest; I went in twice; very crowded on first time at 2:00 pm afternoon got in by posting by my smartphone appointment from the parking lot and I was already assigned a window by the time I got up to the building!! Had to return another another day to do a knowledge test...this time I was there about 9:00 am and able to do my test in the testing room before it got full (no distractions)...the staff is organized which is a big help to accommodate to large waves of people. read more

This dmv is still great I went yesterday 07/29/2022 in the morning hours for my son and (Sabrina I.) who helped us Was extremely helpful and patient she didn't know my son has a mental condition that makes doing things himself a bit of a struggle I went with him incase I had to explain his condition incase anyone got frustrated with helping him which in our case happens to often but not yesterday if anything she made my son feel very comfortable and I want to say a huge thank you his experience made him excited to learn to drive soon it made him feel more positive being in a environment with alot of people while dealing with his anxiety so once again this dmv has been extremely helpful with there professionalism and the way they treat us as people thank you again Sabrina I. read more
