The most recent trip was June 2026, when we took a wonderful 10-day Mediterranean cruise, We hosted my brother, his kids, grandkids , and in-laws for all major expenses -- air fares both ways, hotels at both embarkation and disembarkation cities (Barcelona and Lisbon), transfers, and the cruise itself. Family members live in various locations in Colorado and California. We needed to make sure everyone had up-to-date passports, got to the airport, got on the right flights, checked into the hotels. Etc, etc. This trip required a huge amount of planning and critical details that could have easily gone "sideways." The instructor was easy to follow and clearly very knowledgeable about beekeeping. You can tell she has a deep understanding of the subject and a real passion for teaching it. The class was very informative but also easy to understand, even for complete beginners. There were people of all ages there--even kids--and everyone seemed engaged and able to follow along. The class was held at her home, which made for a very comfortable and welcoming classroom environment. She also had a great amount of personal learning materials and examples that really helped bring the information to life. I honestly can't say enough good things about the experience. She clearly has built a strong following over the years, and after attending the class it's easy to see why. She's friendly, helpful, and a true wealth of information. We've visited San Diego several times, but our visits were limited to the particular attraction we were visiting. This bike tour is a wonderful way to see so much of San Diego via bike. The location is easy to find, and parking is easy to find ( there is a huge parking structure next door). We were met by Kevin who was our guide for the tour. Awesome personality with a friendly demeanor. His knowledge of the San Diego area is impressive. He was full of fun facts about the city. The course was delightful and the bikes were easy to ride. She does fantastic work training and even does animal boarding. It's really sad to think that Lailah was on the euthanasia list at the crowded shelters in Riverside County but thanks to Hidden Haven Farms, she's a service dog bringing a better life to our family.

We had four cities scattered around Spain to visit in just 10 days. Barcelona started at a tapas bar where we chose tapas from a buffet in a rustic atmosphere of archways made of giant stones, Then a Barcelona tour that included architecture from the Roman era to Gaudi's creations and a view of America's Cup race in the Marina. A train took us to Alicante where we stayed in a Palace that was 100 feet away from the plaza full of sidewalk cafes! Paid a visit to the Miguel Cervantes tribute (Author of Don Quixote), the plaza, and marina. Next was Seville, where we took a tour and stopped at a Pizza restaurant -- walked around some landmarks, and prepped for our 4 days in Madrid. There we had an amazing Tapas and Wine Tour, visited Prado Museum, and other historical sites, and yes, discovered some amazing cafe/restaurants right around the corner from our hotel. Found the best Paella in Spain, discovered new wines, and found a restaurant "Jardin Secreto" overlooking the plaza. (from a list of hidden dining gems thanks to tour guide Patricia Willems.) There is no way I could have arranged or found everything myself. It was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
