I checked this place out for the first time yesterday. It was a nice little spot. It kind of felt that we had the place all to ourselves as we were the only ones there when we first arrived. I believe he was the owner; but he was very hospitable. They have unique wines infused in whiskey barrels. I had their Chardonnay which had a slight taste of whiskey in it but I thought it was pretty good. I also tried their pepperoni and sausage flat bread which also was pretty tasty. We were greeted by "Whiskey" the cat and as we were told apparently he was a stray and greets everyone as they arrive which was cute. They have misters which helped a lot with the heat. read more

Planning for birthday is stressful, imagine its your wife's birthday and now imagine it's a milestone birthday, it was indeed a big choice. Called 20+ Vineyard and put my requirements and was chose Crystal hill as my choice, I am so glad I made that decision. Best wine, amazing scenery, very private, kid friendly, pet friendly most of all sweetest Staff you will ever find. This is the best winery of Ramona by far and exactly what we were looking for. The view is stunning and beautiful view, atmosphere is very relaxing. Wine choices we were excellent, Excellent wine, especially the whiskey barrel wines! Wine Choices: We initially ordered wine flights, double and singles an we choose the below bottles from there. 1. 2016 Stone Lake Merlot 2. 2016 Whiskey Stone Lake Merlot 3. 2019 Malbec Rose 4. 2017 Whiskey Rose They even have food; their flatbread is amazing too. The Staff and owners were very nice, as we were having good time Scott the owner took the kids, around 10 of them to a short hike and showed them around the property and vineyard, kids had good time while adults were drinking up. Meanwhile Kristy engaged the smaller kids. It was all fun and everyone had fun. Special kudos to the lovely bartenders. Wonderful service for a Saturday! My husband and I enjoyed a wine flight to taste most of their offerings and a glass of wine. We also ordered two flatbreads: plain cheese and a sausage + veggie - DELICIOUS!! Perfect way to spend an afternoon in their outdoor seating area under an awning for some shade. read more

Stopped in last weekend with my dog to relax and enjoy the wines here at Crystal Hill Winery. We were greeted by Scott the owner who served us personally as I chose a comfy glider chair. There was a sweeping view from this hillside location with vineyards and horse corrals down below. I chose a flight of reds. All were delicious and the Whiskey Cabernet was outstanding! I had to try a flatbread pizza and it was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend treating yourself to a visit to Crystal Hill Winery. I will definitely be going back. ~ Anne read more

Looking to wine taste on a Friday afternoon, we came across Crystal Hill and we are glad we did! We were first greeted by Whiskey, the friendliest orange cat! The wine was very good! I loved the Sangiovese. They have wine that ages in whiskey barrels. My favorite was the Whiskey Cabernet Sauvignon. Great flavor and aromas. We ordered a supreme flat bread which was by far the best flat bread I have ever had. We were happily surprised by our time there! Such a hidden gem!! Stopped in for a few glasses and some flat bread as most wineries don't have much food out in Ramona. It was good! The flat bread isn't anything over the top but it hit the spot and tasted great. The wine was excellent and the staff is super sweet. I also got to meet the winery cat and let me tell you, what a BABY! I didn't get a chance to go inside but outside was lovely. The seating was plush and comfortable, had great shade cover, and an amazing view! This is a good spot for groups. read more

This place is super amazing. We stumbled across this winery on our way back to our resort and loved the welcoming feeling when we were seated. This was hubby's first time ever to a winery& and he could not stop talking about the wines & how delicious the flat bread pizzas were during our entire trip. This winery is a hidden gem! Don't let the reservation thing fool you- they're just small staffed. The wine is 100% one of the top in Ramona and I have been to a lot of wineries here. The vibe was like very laid back hang out spot. We were thinking this would be perfect for happy hour but they close at 6. So go early! The flatbread was delicious. I'd like to see a charcuterie board to pair with the wine. The space is large enough for a function like a small wedding, bridal shower, birthday party, or work team building. This gem of a spot definitely has a great foundation with room to grow. And it's close to town so it's convenient for a quick meet up spot for an afternoon sangria with snacks. We had a wonderful time at Crystal Hill Vineyard. We visited on a Friday afternoon and had the whole place to ourselves. With great views and a relaxed vibe, this winery is a fun spot to spend an afternoon. They had typical varietals but the wines were in styles that I hadn't tasted locally and they are recognized for their whiskey tinted wines. Those were not out favorites, we preferred the Chardonnay and Petite Sirah, we took home bottles of both. Be sure to take advantage of the Ramona Special, two tastings and a flat bread (delicious) for only $25 and if you buy 2 bottles, it's free. To top off the tasty wine and flatbread, the staff is extremely friendly, shout out to Keira, and the property is beautiful. They even let us take their golf cart for a spin around the vineyard. We'll be back and bringing friends for an enjoyable afternoon. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about this beautiful establishment. Scott, the owner, allowed us to have our family member's memorial lunch at his vineyard. It was absolutely perfect. The view is amazing. There is ample seating. The flat bread pizza was delicious and the bar serves an assortment or beverages as well as wine. Had a great time with my best friend last Friday night at their Dinner in the Vineyard event! It was catered by Brian from Off the Vine Dining and the food was excellent (a white lasagna with a lovely pear Gorgonzola salad was the entree). We started with a wine flight and cheese plate and finished with a chocolate cookie dough muffin and strawberry short cake. What a wonderful place! I went on Father's Day and just felt amazed. The wine is easy to drink and just very pleasant. I even liked the Chardonnay as it wasn't as buttery as normally it is, which I never enjoyed. The Cheese plate for only $12 was delicious and enough for 3 not so hungry people, of course. But so thoughtful, with strawberries and chocolate. The service was impeccable and the view gorgeous. I supper recommend. Go! read more

It was a hot afternoon in the Ramona wine valley, but it was cooler up on the Crystal Hill Vineyard veranda where we enjoyed their fruity wine & the valley view. We (our group of 6) loved the low tannin wines & conversation with the owner. Definitely will be back! read more

We made a lunchtime reservation but didn't need one bc we were the only ones there! (Maybe it was the 100+ degree heat?) Our server was very sweet and attentive, and super respectful of social distancing. We did the 25$ for a wine tasting for 2 and a pizza/flatbread, then shared one last glass together. The view was beautiful, we really enjoyed the misters to keep us cool. The wine was GREAT especially the whiskey wines, though of course I wish the pours were larger.
