Sonia's 26th Birthday meant renting a 40 passenger limo bus, complete with a bathroom, stripper pole(rotates!), CD, MP3, DVD, 40inch LCD TV, driver, pornstar lighting, and snacks and lots of alcohol(self provided) for a 6 hour Temecula Wine Tour. We starting drinking Bud Lights, Coors Lights, and Mimosas at 10AM...so I don't remember everything too clearly, but I know I had a lot of fun. It averaged about to be about $40 per person. Steer clear from this company. Maybe when they first opened business it was blooming which explains the high rating reviews... but as time went on I'm assuming business is going down hill? I've emailed and called several times about limo services. I got one email saying(sorry for the delay do you still need service) I replied yes, how do I go about booking as there was no info pertaining to booking. After not hearing back from anyone and it's been two weeks now. I decided to look up this company. I'm relieved that I didn't book. After reading he nightmare stories/reviews looks like I dodged a bullet. I am getting married this weekend and my dad booked a limo with these people on Monday 10/31/16, he was told he would get a confirmation that same day in a few hours. He called back this morning Tuesday 11/1 and the mental lady behind the phone says he booked on a Sunday so it takes a while. He reminded her he actually booked on Monday. She says she will send it later. My dad calls back several hours later and still nothing, he decides to cancel and look for a more efficient company. The lady behind the phone decides to start yelling and conveniently says she 'FORGOT' to mention there are no refunds and if he wants to go with someone else to go ahead and HANGS UP before he can even say anything. This company gave all of us the worst experience you can get. Imagine a group of people (35) all are dress up and ready to go to LA for product release/holiday party of the company. The "San Diego Limo Buses" made it impossible for us to go. Before we took off he had GREAT speech about how cool this bus is and you will have tons of fun, less than half a mile of our office he stopped at Shell to check the tires' air. Seriously??? Now you need to check on them? He knew then something is wrong before he picked us up. He found out the tire needs to be change, he called mechanic man, mechanic man investigated and they called someone else to bring tire. Okay.... We supposed to leave San Diego at 3.30 and we were still in the bus at shell at 5.30. We DID NOT make it to our party in LA. Basically this company ruined 35 people's day. How come you are running a bus company and you are not checking your tire when you are leaving the town? How come you don't have an extra tire? What is your business strategy? Seriously How come you don't offer us another bus right away? Maybe they didn't have a big bus like the one we had but they could offer us 2-3 limo instead. I'm not sure how these guys are staying in business. I filled out a request form and received an email back saying they were available. I called to book - no answer. I called back a few hours later, no answer again. I tried for a few days in a row, thinking maybe I was just missing them and left a voicemail with my contact info letting them know I was ready to book. At this point, I was already hesitant to use them when I couldn't get a hold of them, worried I wouldn't be able to reach anyone if problems arose on the day of the booking. Still, I emailed them letting them know I never received a call back. I finally received a call today from a very unprofessional woman saying "UM, Hey is this Nikki?" I let her know politely, I'm sorry but I've already booked with another company as I never heard back fro- *CLICK* she hung up on me. WOW! You lose a customer, don't try to earn it back, and then top it off by being rude?? I can't imagine what a disaster the day of would have been had I booked these guys. Looks like I dodged a bullet here. The other company I booked was incredibly nice, picked up the phone the first time I called, confirmed the details multiple times, followed up with a detailed email and was very professional. I will not name them, but go elsewhere to book your limo/bus. There are better prices and much better customer service at other companies. read more

We hired SD Limobuses to bring our dear friend's bridal party of nine wine tasting in Temecula last weekend. When we were shopping around for prices, they had the best deal. Thank goodness I have one of those San Diego California Express VIP cards received as a gift last Christmas to help reduce the cost by 50% for the five hours we needed the limo for. Inquiring about rates and availability was simple and quick. Once I provided my 1/3 of a payment down as our deposit, we were set for our wine tasting day on October 5th. Our driver was Bill and he arrived at the house on time and ready to go. Unfortunately, getting eight other gals together on time was the bigger challenge, so we didn't hit the road until twenty minutes after our scheduled pick-up time. We still arrived at our 12:30 lunch reservation early and Bill told us that he was going to park off-site (Ponte Winery has a weird no-limos-on-their-property policy) and whenever we were ready, to give him a 15-minute window when we call him to get us. The limo itself was nice, it was a white stretch Chrysler 300 and we all fit comfortably for the quick trip up to Temecula. I have no complaints really about their service because the killer deal included gratuity for our driver. However, since he was very professional and cool about our change of plans to hit up a different winery than the one I originally told the office folks about when I booked the date, he was fine and even asked us if it was okay for him to drive on a dirt road for about two miles to get to the other winery. We ended up tipping him more for making our transportation services a seamless one. I'd certainly hire SD Limobuses again for future trips up to Temecula, it's a great and safe option if our friends decide to make another group trip up there, but none of us wants to be stuck being the sad face, sober designated driver on a wine tasting trip. read more

This company is horrible. I rented the 28 passenger VIP Entertainer for July 2nd, 2011. The AC in the bus was not working properly and was around 80 degrees inside. We took the bus to Temecula, CA during the day and expected to be able to cool off in the bus between wineries; however, this was not the case. The entire trip our limo driver gave us excuses, but none of them fixed the problem. The following day I emailed a complaint to the company. I heard a reply saying I would shortly hear from management. It has been about 3 weeks, and 3 emails from me to them later, and I have yet to hear anything from their management. Customer service is horrible, and their limo buses don't run properly. Stay away from this company! read more

Very pleased from booking all the way to the event drop off! I requested a quote online and received it back in just two days! We used them for my daughters 10 year old birthday party to the Corvette Diner at Liberty Station. Marcus was our driver. My experience with San Diego Limo Bus was fantastic. I rented a bus from them for a birthday party / brewery tour. Suzanne took my reservation over the phone. It was my first time renting a limo bus, and I had quite a few questions about the process. Suzanne was really helpful and very friendly. Our bus arrived on time and was exactly what we were expecting from seeing photos on the website. Marcus, our driver, was phenomenal. He was a lot of fun and very accommodating. I may or may not have gotten completely belligerent after succumbing to peer pressure and drinking an inappropriate amount of whiskey. We used this company for a 15 person bachelorette party, and they were absolutely wonderful!! I went into the evening we used Spectrum expecting the worst. I just used San Diego Limo for my daughters 9th birthday party. Bernie was our driver and was so great with the kids. Not only was he on time but he was 30 min early and let the girls hang out in the limo until the whole party arrived. They had Happy birthday balloons too. We ended up getting the Escalade instead of the 10 person due to service issues, so that was an added bonus, with more room for the kids to move around. I have used San Diego Limobuses for the last 3 yrs to go to Del Mar for the opening day of the race track. They are great and very accommodating. The first year we got a 20 passenger bus and had a blast! Only downfall was no bathroom. So we smartened up and the last 2 yrs we upgraded to the 28 person VIP Entertainer. That bus is awesome! The sound system was great, the bathroom was a huge plus and it was really roomy. We had an awesome driver the first year, Adam, so I have requested him the other times too. I booked the same bus for a Halloween pub crawl and am looking forward to more fun times! read more

Started off a good idea for a birthday party. Bus was supposed to arrive at 8:45PM on a Friday. It showed up at 9:20PM. The driver was supposed to load the drinks and ice according to the booking lady- he did not. The driver was horrible. He would slam on the brakes for no apparant reason, the buses cd player/radio went out several times during the night, the bathroom didnt work- no water, didnt flush. The booking lady told us clean up would be included in the price. At the end of the night we were told by the driver to clean up or get charged for it. When asked to see the copy of the agreement he refused and started yelling. Almost, literally, ran over one person when they tried to write down the bus info. Id say they sound good up front but prey on the drunk when its done in hopes they dont do anything. Calls to the company the next day were not returned and they plan on keeping the deposit although we did clean the bus. Id find another company if you have plans of a good time with out a harsh mood killer at the end of the night. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY HERE IS MY LETTER I WROTE THE FOLLOWING DAY, AND THE SUBSEQUENT EMAIL BACK FROM THEM OFFERING VIP CARDS FOR DISCOUNTS AROUND SAN DIEGO? REALLY? Hello Suzanne, Just wanted to let you know that Saturday nights experience was pretty as bad as it possibly could get. Let's start with the pick-up. Driver pulled up into the cul-de-sac and realized he would not be able to turn the bus around. As we were walking out to the bus to board he started to back up and continued to back up almost two blocks before he stopped to allow us to enter. Usually this wouldn't be an issue, but there were many girls who were wearing high heels, all the guys were carrying tons of items and it just didn't make any sense to me that he couldn't have stopped and allowed everyone to enter in front of the condo instead of 2 full city blocks down the street. It's not like it is a busy road. It is a dead end cul-de-sac????? Had that been the only issue, you wouldn't be getting this email. We brought an i-phone(brand new purchased that day) to hook up for music, (i-shuffle was provided by driver and subsequently lost during clean up and then found Sunday morning and returned Monday morning), however the connector for the i-phone from the bus was bad. The music cracked on and off, the speakers wouldn't play in the very back of the bus at all and when the i-phone was placed into the holder it would shut off the speakers to the center of the bus, leaving only the front speakers to play. So to fix that we took the i-phone out and played with the adapter getting it to actually actuate the speakers throughout entire bus(including very rear of the bus and then after putting it back into the holder, it would do the same thing and cut out. It was doing this with the i-pod shuffle, as well as another one of the other passengers i-phones. The music and dancing is what makes the whole bus experience, absent of the music, you have nothing but people sitting across from each other drinking alcohol. I do want to say the music was playing loudly in the front of the bus, however it was not playing at all in the rear part and sporadically in the middle of the bus. Moving on to the first stop, at D Street in Encinitas instead of the driver parking somewhere near the destination he turned right and drove 3 blocks away from the tavern, stopped, everyone got up, and then he decided to move even further down the street another block???? Then at the 2nd bar we actually went into in pacific beach, instead of parking directly in front of beach wood tavern he again chose to park several blocks down before letting us out. In front of Beachwood there was actually a unloading zone for taxis, buses and so forth that we showed him but we still went all the way down across from the Catamaran resort. Lastly, I would have appreciated if the driver would have took a few minutes prior to departing to show us how to use the music and also to insure it worked properly. Bus comes to pick us up for a big company holiday event, San Diego to LA. Bus looks cool, we are jazzed. Half a block later, bus has a flat tire. Starts going downhill from there. Driver doesn't have a tire gauge. No spare tire on the bus. If he was a pilot, I'd understand, but the dude is driving a bus and it has wheels, your job is to transport people in a wheeled vehicle. It can't go anywhere without functioning wheels. Driver calls for a mechanic. An hour later, mechanic comes out and through the powers of profound observation, determines the tire is still flat. Sweet thx dude, we didn't know that. He calls for another guy who has tires. Tire guy shows up. But there's a twist, yes this dude has tires, but NO ACTUAL WHEELS. So instead of taking 5-10 minutes for a wheel swap so we can get moving, OR taking the 20-30 minutes to change tires on the rim, they proceed to screw around for another hour trying to find the leak, rolling this crappy tire back and forth in the dark with a flashlight and a bottle of Windex. And then give up. They don't break the bead and put a new tire on the rim - they just give up and put the leaking, crappy tire back on and say maybe it's fixed itself now. Seriously. These 3 dudes accomplished nothing and we're now 2 hours behind schedule to the party and they ask if we want to attempt the 100 mile drive to LA on the bus, since the tire 'might' be fixed? No thanks. This bus killed our party. Do not let this happen to your party. Whatever deal they offer you isn't worth it. Pick another bus company. Clowns. read more

I have used them once before and had an alright experience and was going to use them for my wedding. I called and gave them the details and they said that they would give me a call back later that day or at the longest 24 hours. 2 days passed and I called, left a message as well as sent an email. No response. I did this several time for the next few days, still no response. 1 month later I get a voice-mail from them. I call them back and just to let them know I had already went with another service. I told the woman that I spoke with that I had called a month ago and she said it wasn't their fault (so who's fault was it?). Then she asked what date was I trying to reserve for so that they could delete me and free up the spot. Then she hung up. I will never recommend San Diego Limo Bus or pay to go on San Diego Limo Bus. For my 50th birthday, we rented the 20 passenger limo bus. When Richard arrived at my house, I was shocked to see the 30 passenger limo bus with a restroom. The 20 passenger was unavailable so I was upgraded at no charge! And the bigger bus was awesome - plenty of room for all of us and our stuff. We rented the bus for 11 hours taking us from Miramar Speed Circuit to La Jolla to Mix Tape downtown to East Village Tavern and back home. Richard was awesome! It was such a great day and I would highly recommend this company. And Suzanne does the booking and she's great too! read more

I am a harsh critic when it come to service businesses. Marcus Carter and Spectrum Limousines provided top quality product and service. We rented a limo to go to the Luke Bryan concert in Chula Vista. First off, Marcus, didn't take the 5. He realized that getting into the amphitheater can take over an hour if you take the 5. He took the back route and saved us at least a half hour in the entrance line. The bus was top notch. No janky, converted crap that I have seen in the past. This was a late model bus with all the right trimmings and features. Once we were in the venue he was at our service the whole time. Cleaning up after us and making sure that everything was operating smoothly. Dealing with drunk people can be difficult but Marcus was on it the whole time. They get my recommendation! read more

I have rented there white diamond cadillac escalade white for my kids prom. They where on time. They made sure the kids didnt drink or bring anything on the limo.The limo driver gave me his cel phone so i could check in or text him. The kids had a good time and all got home safe. The limo was clean. It had a t.v. for music videos, and they had an i pod music station for music. I liked them so much the next year a rented them again for my sons prom and got there stretch town car .I would use them again! next time for me!! read more

The company was easy to work with, provided very competitive pricing, and the drivers were punctual. One note: I think the official capacities are pretty tight, so if your group size is on the edge of two different vehicles, go with the larger vehicle. read more

So we had a shuttle from our hotel to a wedding. The ride to the venue was fine and had no problems. But once the wedding reception ended, the shuttle back to the hotel was supposedly "at capacity" and that the shuttle wouldn't come back because the driver thought he heard someone say "F#ck you." The driver eventually came back in the shuttle and said he would not drive us since he has a "policy" saying that if he thought someone said "f#ck you", he would not drive us due to this make believe "policy." The driver, Marcus, was hostile and rude, and argued with members of our party, he flipped us off and did not apologize for his obscene and vicious actions, he even threatened to fight my cousin. Marcus was very rude and had no evidence of anyone saying "f#ck you" and had no right to be hostile especially when he is a driver who should know how to deal with drunk people who don't know what they're saying. After numerous threats and obscene language, Marcus drove away after kicking all of us out of the shuttle. Marcus was very rude and lacks people skills, this was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Marcus and San Diego Limo Bus you have disappointed beyond imaginable. I will never forget this horrible experience, that put a damper on an otherwise fantastic New Years Eve. We were stranded at 3 am in the parking lot and were forced to ride in a U-haul truck. This is so crazy. Since this is the second time I've gotten one of these annoying plastic cards on my windshield -- this time inside the gated community I live --- I decided I'd YELP to complain about that. Imagine my surprise when others have the same complaint. Hopefully, if they get enough bad yelp reviews from that, they'll find a better way to advertise. I don't like driving, and then noticing it...and having to wonder what it is. Then forgetting about it, and seeing it the next day, and finally pulling it off and seeing what it is. Listen business owners, NOBODY calls a business based on a flyer on their windshield. We all Google or Yelp when we want to see what business we're thinking about using. So what ends up happening is this...people come to their car, take it off the windshield, and litter on the ground. I think a law should be put in place that allows police to give littering tickets to companies whose fliers, or little plastic cards, end up on the ground. read more

This company is shady at best. They market themselves by entering private garages and jam their plastic credit card promotional piece into cars. In my case it was jammed into the rubber seal on my window ultimately inverting and bending the rubber seal. Not cool at all. I called the company, a live person took my name and number and not one word back. No respect for a persons property at all. I reported to the building mgt where I work and they called as well and even went to the business address and still found no one. Super shady! read more
