Everything ran smoothly and pickup and drop off from and to SD were very accurate. The owner Mario is very well informed and gives quick facts and tips throughout tour. Everything is planned out per the itinerary as said. Our only mistake was we did not have bfast so by the time lunch came around we were starving and lunch was family style servings. The only tip I would give is being snacks for the road and eat bfast before. Aside from that would def recommend and use Baja California Tours again. They also take pictures throughout the trip and send them to you afterwards! Thought that was very cool and thoughtful. Mario and Rene were both very welcoming and friendly. No complaints. I would book a private tour next time just as a personal preference. Looking forward to using them again for the same or diff tour!

They were delicious and we found one we actually really enjoyed. My husband is a tequila owner himself (small batch Fuego Tequila) so it was nice for him to talk to someone well versed and enjoy in a conversation all about agave, the process of tequila making and share some good stories. Would definitely recommend - also try and eat before this tour or enjoy appetizers at each stop you make. The mango salsa at Rockin' Baja Lobster in Old Town S.D. is worth mentioning :)

They picked us up at home near the gaslamp (they were so punctual!) and drove us all the way up to Temecula. We got a super cool tour bus with champagne and the 3 wineries were ready for us when we arrived. We didn't have to do anything at all except sip eat and enjoy the views! I called it "all inclusive" tour because they drove us to and from and we just did the wine tasting without worrying about having to do anything extra. Our host Donna and her driver were the best. The drive was so smooth. Donna went above and beyond. She was so friendly and fun and full of good info for us. She answered all our questions and kept us on pace. There were other tours happening at the locations we went to but Donna made sure we were taken care of and we felt like we literally got VIP treatment. She also took great pictures of us! One thing to note, he is very strict on timing, so if you think you've got an extra five minutes, you don't.. LOL Now onto the tour itself. I've done quite a few wine tours, and unfortunately this one was my least favorite. It was also the first wine tour I've done that only visited two locations, which was a bit of a letdown. The first winery had a nice selection, we got three wine tastings. The Burgundy was my favorite from The Heritage flight. The property itself was beautiful to walk around, with amazing scenery and lots of great photo spots. We also stopped by the sweets shop and picked up a few treats. There were also surrounding shops near the winery. Personally, they weren't really my style, but that comes down to taste. If you like clothing and home décor, you might enjoy it more. Clothing prices looked to start around $50 and went up from there. The home décor shop was very cute with lots of handmade items, mostly in the $20 range and higher. I skipped the candle shop due to allergies. The charcuterie board was a nice touch and came with a good variety of items. The second wine location included five tastings. I personally wasn't a fan of the wines here. One person in our group ordered a glass from the regular menu and shared it, it was much better than the tasting options, and most of the group seemed to agree this stop was a bit of a disappointment. That said, the views were absolutely incredible. The pizza included in the tour was a highlight for me, I had the vegetarian, and it was really good. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. There wasn't much walking around at this stop, so we mostly stayed at the table and ate. My favorite parts of the tour was the food and the tour guide. I'm glad I tried it and can check another wine region off my list, even if it wasn't my favorite experience overall. For reference, we were picked up at 9:45 AM and dropped off around 3:00 PM.

The diversity of the population in Tijuana was not something I was aware of until just a couple of years ago - in large part, thanks to his tour. Prior to that, when I visited Tijuana, I had feelings that were similar to the ones he described among his guests - the feeling of freedom - but I wasn't sure why I felt it, or what to make of it. After the tour with Turista Libre, my feelings about Tijuana evolved from "I feel so free there" to "I love that Tijuana is for everyone." It's exciting to be there and to think about the role that the city has played in the lives of so many who have sought better lives than the ones they left behind. At the same time, being there gives me a greater appreciation for the advantages and privileges I've had throughout my life as a citizen of the US.

Kind service as well. Playami: Run by Border Psycho Brewing. Very kind and attentive staff that were willing to work with my malo Spanish. Great beer selection on tap and a cool indoor/outdoor area. There are also food and coffee options on site! Mexica Brewing: This small and charming brewery is owned and run by a pair of sisters that make great beer. Not far off Revolution Ave, it's worth the stop. Their honey porter is my favorite. Food options here too! Mamut Brewing: I had an amazing time chatting with one of the Brewers. All beers we tried were amazing. Their seasonal pumpkin was the best of that style I tried. Telefonica: Gastro food truck park. I had the best Pulpo (octopus) sandwich at Berracas Burger. It was not breaded and the taste was amazing. If you are nervous about visiting Tijuana, you have no reason to be with Derrick and Turista Libre. Their attention to detail and goal of really touring Mexico like a local was spot on. I will be booking this again for one of the many other adventures offered. For a great time, give this a try!
