My kids have been here for a while now and they all absolutely love their lessons. One child is with Gibb--he is sooo patient, kind, and knowledgeable! My child looks forward to every lesson. My ten-year-old has been loving her violin lessons with Daryuish! She looks forward to her lesson every week. She's new to the instrument, and he's been very patient and kind. We've had to miss a few weeks due to illness and we really appreciate the option to receive a prerecorded lesson, as our schedule makes make-up sessions difficult. So, I have two children who have taken lessons here for almost a year now. I made two different reviews here. My 9 year old takes piano lessons with Heidi. Heidi is an amazing teacher who I highly recommend for any age. My son is on the spectrum and needs someone to help through obstacles that he may have learning. Heidi is so amazing, kind, respectful, and patient with him. Heidi is well educated in this music field and has so much input to help your child succeed. My son just did his first recital and didn't want to go up alone. Heidi stood by his side through it all and gave my son the confidence and support he needed. I appreciate many things about this place such as communication and the studio itself. It's always easy to ask questions and communicate with the front desk, I love that I can check on my kiddos at anytime because of the windows of each room, there is a parent waiting room with comfortable chairs, and complementary coffee & water. I am extremely happy that we found SD Music Academy and can not say enough wonderful things about them. Let's start with the front desk. I love Jestyne and Amy!! They are the front face of the school and both are so professional and friendly. They follow up with answers and will always try their best to accommodate everyone's busy schedules. The school environment is clean and welcoming. I love that there's a coffee/tea station for us tired parents. =D There is also a coloring table for those little ones that are waiting for lessons to start. More importantly, I feel so comfortable that there's always someone at the front desk monitoring the security cameras (and you can see it as well) in each room while your child is in session. As for the teachers: we have lessons with Ms. Isabella (for voice and piano) and Ms. Erin (for guitar). Both are so talented in what they teach. They are extremely patient and encouraging. This is the best place to take your kids for music lessons. My daughter has taken lessons other places, and they don't come close to the level SDMA does. Everyone is so helpful and my daughter loves the way Ms. KT Harms teaches. When my daughter had to take time off for an illness they were so accommodating, patient, and caring. Our teacher, Erin is great. She is extremely patient with our extremely active 6-year-old who gets very easily off-track. Erin calmly guides our daughter back to their lesson and redirects her throughout the lesson. She also lets our daughter sing along to the pieces that she plays because it makes her so happy. The school is fabulous. Their online portal is excellent and our instructor uploads notes from the lesson and homework instructions after every lesson. I can choose to sit in on my daughter's lessons or wait outside if the room. They have someone at the front desk monitoring the security cameras in each room and there are large windows in each instructional room. The waiting room is pleasant and includes an espresso machine and a water dispenser. Teachers can print out sheet music/lessons or you can purchase a music book. We love it here! read more

It is so exciting that they opened a Music Academy in San Dimas. The Pasadena and Monrovia Music Academy's are superb with great staff and amazing teachers. The facilities are nice, modern and some have teas and hot chocolate to drink. I absolutely love their convenient and helpful system of communication for very busy parents. Every student has an online account and the teacher updates what was learned in each lesson there. You can also receive email and text reminders of when the next class is happening. I love that I can easily text the school to ask questions, make changes and get updates. It is so incredibly convenient. I absolutely love that each class can be customized to the student and the teachers are well versed in positive reinforcement and supportive teaching styles. The recitals are out of this world! They are beautiful, well organized, very well planned events. I am always impressed by them. I have been to both schools and love them both! read more

I'm super excited that Pasadena Music Academy is opening up a location here! My son took classes at PMA until we moved out of the area and I've been looking for a similar school since. I really liked how easy it was to schedule and even reschedule lessons with different teachers (since makeups with the same person can be limited to schedule availability and also because it was neat to try different styles once in awhile). I love how inviting the lobby is and how there is a decicated office staff. Most importantly, my son loved his drum lessons and he was so motivated to keep learning with the band workshops and recital opportunities. I have seen my daughters personality and confidence really grow since starting classes here. My 6 year old takes guitar with Erin M. She is so patient and takes her time to make sure he understands what he is being taught. The staff here is amazing helpful, they have cameras to keep an eye on the sessions and the music rooms have large windows so you can see your little ones at work. I LOVE San Dimas Music Academy. The facility is fresh, beautiful and inspiring. The staff are all extremely helpful and welcoming. My drum teacher, Matt, is amazing. I am a much older beginning drum student, and Matt prepares the best lessons exactly for my level and learning style. I'm progressing so much while having the greatest time. Matt is so kind, patient, and understanding, while still managing our time together in a way that is loads of fun with quick progression into increasingly more challenging skills. It's a blast when we play duets together, and I feel like I'm already playing the drum kit with numerous songs and grooves in relatively short amount of time.
