This park is insane. It features (a) green open areas aplenty, (b) ocean views, (c) clean restrooms, (d) baseball/softball diamonds, (e) soccer fields, (f) tennis/pickleball courts, (g) plenty of parking, (h) a playground with an ocean view, (i) cute little critters running around, (j) picnic tables with some shade, and (k) so much more. It would have been the perfect sandwich park, except that we had already eaten a late breakfast followed by Balboa Bars as we walked around Balboa Island and Little Balboa Island, so we weren't hungry yet. Oh, well, next time! The neighborhood that surrounds the park is cute as well, but it still looks and feels 1970s middle class even though it's 2020s upper class. As in most parks, the playground is surrounded by benches so that parents/uncles/aunts/older siblings/nannies can take a load off while their charges are at play, but one of the benches has its back to the playground, because who wants to watch kids when you can relax and watch the ocean and the tops of the cliffs surrounding it--all from the comfort of the edge of a playground? That wisely rotated bench is what brings the rating up to five stars. read more

This local park has so much to offer, there are oodles of pickleball courts and ready willing players of all levels to indulge with.

I just played at this park, and it was trash. The baseball field SUCKS. The field has soccer goals randomly in the outfield that people had to move. There were dips in the box, so you have to stay in the front of the box, and it's so small that you can't stride your foot anyways. From the on deck circle, the difference in the ground was at least a foot. Playing shortstop was hard too because the edge of the grass was as tall as jimmy neutron's hair. There was also hills in the outfield and ANOTHER dip in between second and shortstop. Whoever works on the field does a terrible job and I hope I never have to go back to this absolutely trash field. I hope the destroy it or burn it to the ground. And I forgot to say that the mound is a tiny portable that you can't pick off from, and there's a hidden hose cover that I tripped on. Spiders and spiderwebs were all over the dugout, which had as much dirt in the benches as the actual field. THIS. FIELD. SUCKS. All these stupid people giving 5 star reviews are the pickleball players. They just said "they have baseball fields." But let's get real. The field should be burned to the ground and they should turn it into a mining pit. Shouldn't be hard because the dips are already starting the pit read more

What do I love in a park? Lots of open space, little to no other people, and places my dog and kids can play. San Gorgonio has all of these things and more. Beautiful ocean views make this park a special place to sit back and relax. There are lot of picnic tables and charcoal bbq grills (bring your own charcoal) to hang out at if that is what you like. LOTS of parking. A full size basketball court, a soccer field, two baseball fields, and tennis/ pickle ball courts. The playground is a good size and the sand is always good for the kids. The back area towards the freeway is a great spot to take your dog off the leash and throw a ball (during the week when there is nobody else there). If you come on the weekends, there are often sports events going on and it gets crowded fast. The bathrooms, as mentioned by a previous yelper, don't have doors. If you need to sit down and value your privacy, hold it. If you are in the area and have time to visit, this park is a must! read more

Such a beautiful park with breathtaking views and a large playground and lots of parking. You may want to make reservations for your group to insure tables will be available for your use. The only negative is non of the tables are covered an there is a lack of shade. read more

There is so much to do in this "hidden" neighborhood sports park. There are basketball courts and baseball/soccer fields. They are managed by the city of San Clemente so check for rules and regulations before planning to play. We like to play Pickleball at the designated courts. They are booked in advance so plan ahead and have some fun with friends at San Gorgonio Park. (There are restrooms and water fountains too.) read more

Very good pickle ball courts. We were there in a Sunday afternoon and had to wait about 30 minutes to get on. Pickle ball of all levels were playing on 8 courts. read more

This park has everything from tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball, and soccer fields. It has a nice fun and safe playground, too. All with a view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. It's not a perfect park. The basketball courts are right next to the parking lot so stray balls mean running into cars (parked or moving). The bathrooms are really gross and in need of a remodel. And parking can be limited when baseball and soccer season are in full swing. However, the tennis courts are great. The basketball courts have just been redone. And the ocean view allows for a great chance to stop for a picnic. read more

The bathrooms here are absolutely unacceptable ! No doors on any of the stalls ! No trash cans in the bathroom so there is DIRTY pads and tampons just laying on the floor ! By the end of our soccer tournament there wasn't even any toilet paper ! Oh and no RUNNING WATER to wash your hands after you use there disgusting bathrooms ! The city should be ashamed of themselves ! read more

Beautiful Park located in a nice residential area. Tons of activities. Not to far from the beach so you still get that ocean breeze.
