The first time I called I think I spoke to Doug (I was in a panic), even though he couldn't get me a car he was so helpful and friendly, offering info for other ways to try to remedy our situation. I ended up calling back because he had mentioned having a car for part of the days and I fugured it was better than nothing. This time I spoke with Megan who was also super friendly and helpful. She said, hang on I think I can make something happen for you. She got a car for the whole trip! Secondly, the whole process is a breeze! You pay ahead and get a confirmation email with all the info you could need, a map to get from the ferry to your vehicle (a very short walk), and a code to get in the car. They even have a sticky note with your name on the window. No waiting around in line, signing a bunch of stuff, like a corporate rental company. When you drop it off you just fill it up and leave it where you found it. I don't know if all the vehicles are like this but it was a hybrid so spent barely any money on gas! Would recommend them a million times over!

In the warm Sun, there is no better way to experience the island. 2. OI was so easy - leaving the car for us, where we needed it, and allowing us to drop it off. 3. Not knowing one company from another, I took a shot in the dark and went with Orcas Island Shuttle. I don't know what the others are like, but I have to guess these guys are the best. I think the lady I spoke to was Amy. She was very helpful and efficient and I could tell just by speaking to her on the phone that she took pride in her business. She arranged to have the car at the dock where we arrived on the seaplane and everything was exactly as described. They even had granola bars and bottled water in the car for us. If only more businesses knew how much difference the little touches make. The rate was reasonable and the car was clean and sufficient for our needs. All in all a great experience. I highly recommend them.

The airport had none available but luckily the guy behind one of the desks called this place. Terry the owner was most accommodating even though he had a dry sense of humor. He not only picked us up from the airport, but upgraded us to a Jeep at no extra cost. It was perfect for our mountain drive. Despite not having new vehicles, this was more than sufficient and best value for peak season. On our way back, he was very kind enough to drop us off at the ferry.
